Excellent service from Ajay and Ryan when buying our new Jaecoo
Would not go anywhere else
Previously bought our Kuga from Ryan three years ago and due to the high level of service we returned to upgrade fully recommend
Tyler was great very helpful and made the process easy.
I recently bought my first car and, naturally, I was a little nervous about the whole process. However, everything was so smooth and straightforward that it turned out to be one of the easiest purchases I’ve ever made.
My sales executive Ghulam Mustafa at gates woodford was incredibly helpful, professional and supportive throughout the entire process. They made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and made the experience completely stress-free.
I’m really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the team to anyone looking for a smooth and hassle-free car-buying experience. Thank you for making my first car purchase such a positive one!

Came into Gates Woodford in May to purchase a new Jaecoo-7 for my birthday and thats where we met Tyler. We've had the most pleasurable experience with him the whole way through! Originally wanted to purchase the Shs-H but ultimately went for the plug in hybrid, picked it up last Saturday and its been great. I love it.
Working with Tyler was one of the best new car experiences I had and hes always been there to answer any questions my partner and I had throughout the initial meet to the pick up and even after.
Would definitely recommend popping into Woodford branch if you're looking for a wonderful experience. Only had the car for a week and so much to learn still but confident if I need help I can pop an email to Tyler and will be fine.
Thanks everyone again!

Very good service from start to finish. Razwan explained all the features of the car and managed to provide with a very good package.
I was kept up to date with the order as it progressed and the car arrived on time.

He did an exceptional job and I would recommend him highly. Once again thanks to team at Gates OMODA and Jaecoo (especially Razwan)for the great experience.

Amazing!!!!! 💖 I wanted to test drive the Jaecoo and had never been to Gate's before, I had such a lovely experience there was NOT ONE SINGLE MISERABLE member of staff😂 they are all really friendly, engaging and polite, I was not rushed at all its certainly rare these days to go to a business where everyone is so friendly so I give them top marks for that 🏆🎖. I was blessed to have Mustafa as my Sales Exec and he was absolutely excellent, gave me all the⌚️ time I needed, always greeted me with a smile😁 it was like meeting a friend, Chelsea is lovely and Danny also. Mustafa was patient, kind, informative, open, communicative, ZERO SELLING PRESSURE 💯which makes such a huge difference, nothing worse than having someone try to pressure you into a sale, I give top marks for that too. I returned a few months later as I did not want to go to another car company I felt comfortable at Gates after my 1st visit that is how fantastic they are, and also being a woman on my own I was treated with utter respect, so to all the ladies out there I cannot recommend this business enough, visit and see for yourself 💖 I went on another test drive in August in the Omoda 7 it was fun, I fell in love with the car, Mustafa sorted everything, I drove my brand new car away on September 7th, it was lovely to share my excitement at Gates. Before you think about going to a random car company, make Gates your first stop you will not regret it in the slightest, they are an Outstanding Business 💖

Tyler was very welcoming and helpful. Showed us around the car and how it worked and answered all our questions. All the other staff in the showroom were also very polite.

Our experience with BYD Gates has been extremely disappointing from beginning to end.
We were told that BYD Gates wanted one opportunity to repair our car and resolve the issues we had raised. We gave them that opportunity, expecting a professional service and a reasonable turnaround. Instead, it took FOUR MONTHS to finally address and resolve the problems with our vehicle.
After all that time, we then discovered that our car had to be sent to a different workshop because BYD Gates Stevenage did not have the appropriate equipment to carry out the necessary work. This raises a serious question: if the required equipment was not available in the first place, why did it take four months for this to become apparent?
When we finally went to collect and take handover of our car, the situation became even more unacceptable.
BYD Gates had lost our charging cable. Instead of taking responsibility and investigating the matter properly, my wife was actually accused of stealing the charging cable from the loan vehicle. This accusation was completely unacceptable, particularly because the charging cable was not even in the loan car when we collected it.
To make matters worse, when we raised concerns about marks and scratches on the vehicle, it appeared that BYD Gates were not even aware of the damage until we reported it to them ourselves.
Throughout this entire process, the communication from the BYD Gates service team has been extremely poor. We were left without proper updates, repeatedly had to chase for information, and were made to feel like we were the ones causing the inconvenience rather than being customers who had already been waiting months for our own vehicle.

My wife and I recently purchased a black Jaecoo 7 Hybrid from Gates Omoda/Jaecoo Woodford, and the experience was excellent throughout.
We initially met with Ryan, the Branch Manager, who took the time to explain the vehicle's specifications and the options available to us. He also offered us a very fair deal on our part exchange, a 25-plate Toyota C-HR. What stood out was that Ryan was never pushy. He simply explained what they could offer, answered our questions, and allowed us to make an informed decision.
Ajay then took over the sales process and was fantastic from start to finish. He guided us through every stage, including the finance application, part exchange, documentation requirements, and uploading documents to the portal. He was always available to answer our questions and made the entire process seamless and stress-free.
We were also given the opportunity to test drive the Jaecoo 7, which gave us the confidence that we were making the right choice. The car itself is spacious, comfortable, and a pleasure to drive.
It's easy to see why the team has sold so many Jaecoo vehicles in recent months. Their customer service, professionalism, and product knowledge are exceptional. I would highly recommend Ryan, Ajay, and the team at Gates Omoda/Jaecoo Woodford to anyone considering a new vehicle.
Most importantly, my wife loves the car, and as they say, happy wife, happy life!

The staff at Gates were all friendly, but I mainly dealt with Mustafa who was extremely pleasant to deal with. He is knowledgable yet down to earth. He wasn't pushy or in a hurry. Even after the sale was complete he took the time to go through how the car worked with me and answer any questions. Great guy, exceptional all round experience.

I wanted to say that the experience from when we first went to the showroom, looking speculatively at a number of different vehicles in the Jaecoo range, all the way through to the decision to buy a car, the communication across the summer with Ajay in particular. Ajay has been absolutely excellent, and with the actual purchase documentation. The service was excellent. His knowledge is really encyclopaedic. Explanations, everything very clear. There were a couple of occasions when there was a glitch in the systems, but Ajay found a workaround. It's actually been a really, really smooth process, which it should be if you're spending a lot of money! And I really appreciate the time and the care and the knowledge displayed right from the very beginning. Thanks to Ajay and all the colleagues there.

Not the experience I expected. In October 2025 I went into Gates St Albans to buy a used car. I asked the sales person if I was allowed to get the AA to check it. I was told that I could but she assured me that their checks are more extensive than the AA's. I trusted that because that was the reason I was going to a main dealer, the car is only 3 years old and with a years warranty you're not going to have any problems for a year.
I didn't test drive but when I drove the car home the handbrake didn't hold until it pulled up so high that I knew it was an MOT failure. The infotainment system also said the keys needed new batteries. I went back to Gates who adjusted the handbrake and replaced the key batteries.
I hadn't realised that you don't get a full years MOT or service, so 8 months later because of the bad reviews for the service department at Gates I took the car to an independent garage for an MOT. The car passed but they highlighted that there was a mileage discrepancy. The mileage at the previous MOT was higher than the mileage now. I went back to Gates. I was told the discrepancy would just be an admin error and to contact DVSA to show them my invoice etc as evidence and they could correct it. While sorting my evidence I thought that as the previous service was done 8 months before the previous MOT that would corroborate my claim that the MOT entry was just a mistake. I asked the service department for a copy of the service details but unfortunately that also had the higher mileage so this would mean 2 seperate errors 8 months apart. I had a list of 17 times the car had been worked on so asked if I could have the actual details of the work done under each heading as this might give mileage details to corroborate the mileage discrepancy. I also questioned that there were 17 entries but 4 numbers in the sequence were missing, why would that be? The gentleman said he didn't have anymore details than the list itself and he didn't know why numbers were missing and it didn't matter. I went back into the sales side and asked about the list of work done and was told, as I'd assumed, you can go into the list of work entries and see what work was actually done. I told the salesperson that the service department's man had made this all seem suspicious. She looked at the some setting etc on the infotainment system but couldn't understand what had happened. She said she needed to speak to her manager, who was on leave so could I give her some time. I agreed.
3 weeks later I still hadn't heard from the manager. I contacted Gates asking for the managers email address to put in a formal complaint. I asked the manager to acknowledge receipt of the email but she didn't. I also requested details of all work done on the car and an explanation as to why there are 4 missing numbers in the sequence of work done.
2 weeks later I got a reply saying that, although this was too separate errors 8 months apart, that's what it was. To date I still haven't had the work done details or explanation re missing numbers.
During the wait for a response, the air conditioning was not working. I was surprised to hear the air conditioning is not covered by the warranty. The sales manager arranged for the service department to call me.
2 weeks later still no call. I contacted them and took the car in the evening before my appointment. Later I was phoned to say due to work delays could I leave the car with then for the next day. When I collected it I was told the battery had been recharged and the AC was working. Unfortunately 3 days later it had stopped working again. The service department couldn't fit me in until a week later. Despite dropping the car off at 7.30 am I was again told it wouldn't be done until the next day. I was told I needed a new battery which is also not covered by the warranty so had to pay £257.34.

I recently purchased my new Jaecoo and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
I was lucky enough to be looked after by Ajay, who genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was suitable for me. His communication throughout was excellent - always professional, helpful and reassuring.
As a women purchasing a car, I’ve never found the process particularly easy, but Ajay made the whole experience feel completely different. Everything was so smooth, straightforward and stress-free, which made such a difference.
I honestly can’t thank Ajay and the team enough for making what can sometimes be a daunting experience such a pleasant one. I absolutely love my new Jaecoo and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car.
