Not competent to retail on-line! Ordering was easy but then it took them over a week to ship. The item worth over £400 was delivered and left by my drive gate and the courier did not ring the bell - I was in at the time waiting for the delivery. It could easily have been stolen from where it was left. I've opened the box this morning and one of the components is missing. The box for it is in the package but the box is empty. I expect it's going to take another week or two before this is rectified. My advice would be DO NOT purchase from this company online. They aren't competent to offer an on-line retail service.
Arrived on time, website was very easy to use and the customer service was excellent.

Ordered a lawn mower on the 18th May. 12 days later it still hasn't been sent to FedEx to be delivered. I tried to ring to tell them that at most the lane to my house can fit a 7.5 ton truck, but I can meet them at the top of the lane. But they have no phone number. I explained in an email. But all I get is random emails have you fixed your access issues yet. No I haven't widened a 500m lane so you can deliver a lawnmower on an artic truck
I'm still missing a part from my strimmer it's a metal locking disc to keep the head attached and locking pin, fs94c Stihl ,

I cannot find fault in the service I’ve got at George Brown’s.
I thought I had a technical fault with the chain I purchased.
And customer service were straight on my case to help me resolve the issue
Turned out, I was just a stupid customer. Who didn’t know how to use it properly.

Lived nearby for years but have never been into George Browns Chesham before. Went in for a mower earlier in the week, which wasn’t in stock, so was ordered and arrived 2 days later. The machine was unpacked, assembled, fuelled, oiled and tested prior to collection, and tested again when I picked it up. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You don’t need to be eyeing up huge farm machinery to buy from them. Old school, friendly customer service

Ordered a lawnmower that came with 2 batteries. It arrived with one. Rang the company to be told that online orders are a completely different organisation and I would have to complete a customer form. I did tgis, with all the required details. To date I have tried over a dozen times to submit that form, only to be told in a pop up message that there are technical issues with submitting forms and to try again later.

The most painful online experience ever.
I spent a £1000 on a strimmer but the machine was delivered damaged but there is no customer service phone number and its impossible to get them on any number.
So I emailed about the problem and there automatic response said they hope to reply in two days. 2 days later i heard nothing so asked for a return again stating happy for them to call me to arrange a replacement machine or damaged part. 2 days pass and they emailed simply asked when i wanted a return so i accepted. Then machine was collected and 3 days later i get a refund although bar the shipping and £5 less than the purchase price which i cant be bothered to argue about.
So all is sort of fine but that took 2 weeks and i was never able to speak to anyone. They really shouldnt be selling online it seems!

I was very surprised at how quickly my Stihl strimmer arrived. The price was very competitive, delivery next day. Online order was not as efficient as some but I will still give George Browns 5 stars. The staff in the branches that I spoke to were very helpful and friendly. Thank you George Browns 👍.

I visited the Daventry branch this morning to look for a part for our garden strimmer, I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like and only had a photo of the strimmer itself (no model number). The man behind the counter was extremely pleasant and helpful, seemed to know exactly what was needed,in spite of the sketchy information provided, and said to bring the part back if it wasn’t quite right. My best shopping experience in a long time!
