Free version is the best out there, I'm not sure about the paid version. But it seems like you can get everything you need and collaboration across projects are very easy.

Still waiting for planned pricing updates...

They canceled my copilot plan because of these new 'pricing updates' which as published on their blog - on 4/27/26 and claimed to be moving all users to 'usage based billing' on 6/01/26, and 2 weeks later, nothing. There is no way to use copilot, and they have not published any updates as to expectancy of completion. This company is worth millions, and can't even hire engineers to plan a smooth transition to something trivial. I don't care about how I have to pay, or what I have to pay, but when you cancel my subscription without my agreeance, and disable anyway to continue using your service due to the inept ability to plan proper rollouts, I get frustrated. This company is useful in many ways, but seeing that they of all companies lacked a critical oversight in pushing this update is disappointing to say the very least.

Terrible service when things go wrong

The product AI copilot is very good , the problem I have is that I have attempted to raise an issue over a billing issue , they have taken money from my account however the subscription has not updated this was done about 3 days ago, I have opened a support ticket with them and no reply at all in days, I can't even hit a refund button because the subscription says free still, but the money has left the account. Its a shame the product itself is really good and the plugin was working great in my application but if something goes wrong they are nowhere to be seen.

Shocking service

Shocking service. Opened a ticket, but no reply. False advertising. The company needs to be investigated.

"Free" trial?? Yeah, right.

I signed up for the github "free" 30-day trial. They charged me for it and when I contacted them 3 times to ask for a refund they never acknowledged me at all. Then there were multiple hoops to jump through in order to unsubscribe. If I could rate them "0" I would. Stay away. I used GROK to do what I needed to do, which worked quite well. Be very specific when talking to AI. You'll save time and errors.

Scam company

Scam company. Not only they sell a copilot product that costs a good amount of money, they also limit that premium feature with additional costs after reaching 1500 tokens. and on top of that they now rate limit the top tier product that you wouldnt even be able to reach 1500 token with that product. Absolut scam behavior and needs to be suspended from all selling plattforms that allows them to rip of money out of peoples pockets. Clearly a scam business model.

Github has been the best tool for me to…

Github has been the best tool for me to save my work, really easy to use, and helps a lot, i can host in pages and use it to host in other software, such as vercel, render and many more. I recommend this for all new developers or the ones who are looking for a tool to save up their work.

I’m extremely disappointed with GitHub’s support.

I’m extremely disappointed with GitHub’s support.

Almost four months ago, my account was suspended because of what appears to have been an honest mistake. I was unaware that a repository I believed to be private was actually public. After Copilot flagged some content, my entire account was suspended.

The consequences have been severe. I’ve lost access to all of my code and project material, including client work, organization access, and school-related work. I’ve been completely locked out, with no practical way to transfer anything to another account or recover important data.

What’s most frustrating is the lack of support. I received one reply on the same day I first contacted GitHub, and then nothing further. I opened another ticket and have still not received any response, even after more than a month.

For a platform that so many developers and businesses rely on, this level of support is unacceptable. If GitHub can lock you out of your account for months without meaningful communication, it raises serious concerns about trusting the platform with important professional work.

Account issues like this should be handled within days, not left unresolved for four months. At this point, I’m losing hope that I’ll ever regain access.

Every single sub-5 review is a lie

Every single sub-5 review is a lie. I firmly believe that GitHub is the absolute best company when it comes to coding and generative coding AI assistance.

Where do all the big league code go? GitHub.
Where is all the open-source? GitHub.
Where do you go when looking for a specific algorithm for your problem? GitHub.

They are simply dominating the market. Thanks GitHub!

I just wanted to update three files in my GitHub repo, but following ChatGPT’s guidance, I used git push --force. This overwrote the entire remote and all the previous commits history which was for portfolio building. Even though I had clearly stated only those three files.

An absolute cancer of a subscription…

An absolute cancer of a subscription platform that will force you into a $300 pm bill you never signed up for then do nothing but throw dark patterns and bad UI to prevent you from cancelling.

You send multiple tickets over a week and get no response and you'll end up being billed premium requests just to get the AI to help you cancel… which it still isn't able to do.

I had to delete my organisation just to stop it all and will NEVER return to this disease of a platform for the rest of my life.

EASILY the worst experience of any paid product in my 20+ years of development.

Account permanently banned for no real reason — support ignores all messages

My GitHub account (username: lev384501) was permanently suspended for "suspicious activity." I was using Codespaces to experiment and learn. The Termux app on my Android device crashed several times, causing repeated disconnections. That's the only reason my activity looked suspicious.

GitHub Support ignored me completely. I sent 4 tickets (#4140228, #4140402, #4140705). Every single time, I received the exact same automated reply, accusing me of violating GitHub Actions terms — even though I barely used Actions.

They never explained:

· Which repository violated the rules?
· Which GitHub Action?
· Did anyone even check my login logs?

I also contacted Microsoft (case #7099207414). They just sent me back to GitHub.

I never received an email notification about the suspension. I just lost access to all my code, projects, and data.

This is not support. This is a machine that bans people and ignores them forever.
