Dont bother

Dont bother. I purchased a "lifetime" licence and was working. Then they switched to a subscription model & cancelled my access to software I had already paid for. Contacted Nitro through the support and was brushed off to contact Cleverbridge etc.
Dont bother, software was clunky anyway.

I paid for a (forced) upgrade from Pro…

I paid for a (forced) upgrade from Pro 13 to Pro 14. After a week and dozens of emails they have not even been able to register me. I didn't even ask for this upgrade. They forced me into it. I've paid in full and it does not work. A complete rip off and waste of time and money. Go elsewhere.

No access to pre-SAAS purchases....

A word of warning to steer clear of this company.
Purchased a full "forever" license in 2019 which worked flawlessly. However as the company changed strategy to SAAS we have been cut off from that purchase and cannot retrieve it. The original links directed us to an "upgrade" site for which I paid just to get access to my copy again. Nowhere did it say that this was for a subscription service.
A service which I paid for and until today have zero access to. No activation mails, serials etc. were sent. My copy of the Nitro now shows trail expired and no way to activate it.

We have tried getting in touch with their sales dept. their payment vendor, and their support which is not available or buried deep within their systems. I at least have not been able to find where to get help...

They've also conveniently separated their commercial storefront from the actual company so in case of questions you're being thrown back and forth.

Don't bother- flaky software and useless support!

Don't bother!
Purchased 2 licences and worked ok for a while then an automatic update stopped it working. No real support offered, just bats you back to filling in an online form which it then wouldn't accept because it said it would not allow @btinternet.com email addresses !!!!!! WTF!
So stuck in a loop where nothing works and no support available!
An absolute shower of sh!te.

I have used Nitro Pro for over 10 years…

I have used Nitro Pro for over 10 years both personally and at where I am employed. I am SO disappointed that I cannot get any support for a legacy version I am simply trying to move from one pc to the next. Unable to open a ticket, unable to talk to a person at all. Just want to understand why they are not allowing for an upgrade if that is what is needed or at least to explain. Spent hours trying to get it to work or get help.

Ordered Nitro through their website

Ordered Nitro through their website. Payment processed by their affiliate, Cleverbridge. To activate the software, I was supposed to be provided with an 18 character license number. Nowhere in the emails received from Cleverbridge was the license number. Then, I would (once we got past the license number issue) need a download link. So, Cleverbridge failed to provide the license number. Trying to get in touch with Nitro is an exercise in futility. Their telephone system only directs you to sales. If you need support, they give you a URL to open a support ticket. However, if you go to that support page, there is no way to open a ticket - it's just a glorified FAQ page with no way to get help. Writing to Cleverbridge is also useless - they send a response email that states they will be in touch with you shortly. Then, their subsequent response is to get in touch with Nitro at the same URL mentioned above that just brings you to the FAQ page with no option to communicate with their support. They were very good at taking my money - they did that in a heartbeat. After that, too bad - you're out of luck getting the software running - and forget about support (it doesn't exist - at least with these two companies). Give Nitro PDF a big miss - opt for some other PDF editor.

Total Scam

Please be aware that this is a Scam company. I paid for a three year license and after 30 days they blocked full access saying trial period has ended. They provide no means to contact them. Please stay away

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE. I chose the monthly subscription model and was immediately charged for an annual subscription. I cancelled straight away asked for a refund but they said no to a refund but I can rest assured I won't be billed automatically after the 12 month term has ended. Seriously? This is not a legitimate company, this is a scamming company.

Stay Away from Nitro

To ANYONE,
Because of the abysmal customer service I am posting here.

-There are ZERO ways to contact someone live. The chat box only routes to a forum and when promoted for "Anything Else”, the only thing we can select is “No Thanks”. LOL.

-When I try to create a ticket online I'm sent in a permanent loop to look for the answers myself and then to submit a ticket LOL
-When I try to sent a ticket VIA THEIR MESSAGING PLATFORM, it says they cannot receive messages.

What a joke. I will NOT be recommending Nitro to anyone and I will be posting everywhere for people to stay away. This is ridiculous.

The original issue which is why I’m reaching out to begin with: I reset my computer and am attempting to use my licenses. I'm told my serial number does not exist.

Moreover, when I try to deactivate my products/register IT DOESN'T LIST THEM.

When I try to create a ticket I'm sent in a permanent loop to look for the answers myself and links to submit a ticket. Beyond frustrating, which is why I'm going out of my way to warn people to stay away from Nitro PDF.

Good software but avoid the company.

I have used versions of NitroPro for many years. I had to move the software from one laptop to another. Something I have done before with no difficulty. I went to the website to find out how to do it, and ended up losing access to teh software and despite having a valid licence I had to buy another. BUT, I can not can not access the software to enter the licence details and I just get bounced between NitroPro and Cleverbridge in an endless loop.

DO NOT Buy! The system USED to work just fine

DO NOT BUY! The system used to work just fine, but since the updates in Dec 2025, it is simply unusable. They think they improved it, but in fact, they have made it so not user-friendly and so complicated that I will not recommend it to anyone and will not renew my subscription again. I have wasted HOURS with this new, extremely defective system! And their customer service takes days to get back to you.

The renewal process for Nitro Pro is...

The renewal process for Nitro Pro is incredibly frustrating and far from user-friendly. Despite being a returning customer, the transition was anything but seamless. If you aren't someone who is highly comfortable navigating complex software settings and billing hurdles, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. It feels like you need to be an IT specialist just to keep your subscription active without a headache.

I would not recommend this product to anyone who isn't technically fluent.

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE - PASSWORDS NEVER WORK. PASSWORD RESET NEVER WORKS. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER WORKS. TERRIBLE ON EVERY SINGLE LEVEL, AND A SCAM.

Annoying repetitive issues

Basically Nitro Pro works fine - there are however almost monthly incidents where I'm unable to access the functionality. It happens suddenly and the reasons seems to be lack of access to Nitro's server. It is very annoying to have to issue a support case and then wait for then to get back to me as they say "we will get back to you within one business day!". Why don't they have a chat function to resolve the issues immediately.

Appallingly bad

Purchased a perpetual licence, but was physically discontinued to force to subscription model. The customer support website does not work, blocking ability to even lodge a complaint. Appallingly unethical company.

Worst customer service of any company I…

Worst customer service of any company I hae ever done business with. Impossible to contact a live person or even live chat. Changes made and unauthorized charges and cannot find my authorization/serial number. Their contact/support is a maze of bots and FAQ's. Even ChatGPT queries were fruitless. They have too much competition these days to have such miserable service.

They removed the old perpetual license…

They removed the old perpetual license model and if you have (like me) old licenses, if you want to upgrade them you need to enroll in an expensive subscription.

And if you want the latest perpetual license, you need to pay more than €300, because they won't offer discount for previous license owners.

This is a break of trust.
