Today contacted Growatt as battery was not discharging, called waited about 3 minutes to speak to team member who on checking my system said that it required to be passed on and they would report back via WhatsApp in about 15 minutes. Yanni sent message back promptly saying that he would update the software. True to his word my system is working . 5 Stars to the team at Growatt.

Very difficult to manage import/export
Very difficult to manage. We always end up in a situation with 90+ on battery and still inverter imports power from grid to maximum prize from 1800 till 1930 (approximately). Counter productive to the idea of having solar and battery. Other systems seems much more intuitive and easy to manage.
Never buy Growatt.
ZERO Customer Support. ZERO Warranty support. One of the WORST brands.
I've known some terrible brands in my time but Growatt is right up there with the worst. They offer next to nil aftersales support and the app is horrible. As is typical of brands from the Far East, when the battery fails (which it will) you will be left with a paperweight with no way to resolve the issue other than to buy a replacement.
Save yourself ALOT of agro - get a Tesla PW3 from a certified Tesla Installer instead of this garbage.

A DIY Nightmare – No Support, No Manuals, No Help
If you are considering the Growatt SPH 6000TL BL-US, be warned: do not attempt to install this yourself unless you have a direct line to a specialized Growatt technician.
The Issues:
Abysmal Installation Manuals: The provided instructions are extremely poor. They are vague, poorly translated, and skip over critical configuration steps. There are "quirks" and specific settings required for the 48V battery integration and EPS (Emergency Power) setup that are simply not documented.
Expertise Required (But Not Provided): This unit effectively requires a professional Growatt installer who already knows all the unwritten workarounds and system "bugs." If you aren't already an expert on their specific ecosystem, you will spend days troubleshooting basic setup errors.
Non-Existent Technical Support: This is the most frustrating part. There is absolutely no after-sales service. Once they have your money, you are on your own. I have tried reaching out for technical guidance on the "Comms" and "Voltage" issues I'm seeing, and it is total radio silence.
Zero Accountability: Without a dedicated support line or a responsive service team, you’re left with an expensive wall ornament if anything goes wrong.
Verdict: The hardware might look good on paper, but the lack of documentation and the total absence of technical support makes it a massive liability. Save yourself the stress and buy from a brand that actually stands behind their product and provides clear instructions for their users. There's absolutely no WiFi configuration directions for the internal board setup. I've given up on this.
Need help
Hi there. I had a Growatt inverter and battery installed in my house in Dublin, Ireland roughly 2 years ago. Since then I have had issues with the Shine Phone app and have not been able to reach anyone from Growatt. I have tried a UK 020 number which just goes straight to hold music. There are some reviews here from GB saying that the Growatt customer service is great. Can someone please tell me what number they used to phone? Thanks so much in advance, Michelle
Growatt lack of customer support
I have made repeated attempts to contact Growatt Tech Support and Customer Service via email. Growatt has responded to my previous TrustPilot post with an email address that also goes unanswered and with an assurance they will contact me. Needless to say they haven't contacted me. Service requests via the ShinePhone App have also been ignored for more than a year now. I am now looking to replace my Growatt inverters with a manufacturer who responds to their customers.

Since 12 January 2026 my system produces 0 W.
All LEDs are green, no error on the screen.
Monitoring finally works via the Shine Dongle (thanks for that), but I cannot access ANY advanced settings because the installer password is missing.
I have sent:
dozens of photos (labels, QR codes, screens, emails)
full explanations
followed every step requested
Support has:
made me repeat the same actions 5-6 times
asked the same questions already answered
bounced me between teams
finally admitted they are “not competent for New Caledonia” (I wrote it in my very first email)
I am the legal owner. The system is completely down → major daily financial loss.
I only need the installer password (or a real engineer) to correct the likely corrupted grid profile / firmware settings.
I have been waiting 48 days.
Growatt, can someone from headquarters (Shenzhen) or a competent regional team please take ownership of this case TODAY and provide the installer code?

Prompt and accurate help via WhatsApp when the battery that charges up from my solar panels went down. Took me step by step through a self test and reset with quick replies to each further query and how to use some of the advanced options in the shinephone app. All worked 1st time
Battery Replacement
Jianye was able to identify an issue with my Growatt solar battery, take it away for diagnostics and install a replacement unit under warranty. Problem sorted in two weeks from start to finish, great service.
Not recommended due to support
The system itself was installed and works fine but less than 3 years later I want another 2 battery modules only to be told they don’t make them any more and there is no new model that I can deploy so I am stuck with a non- expandable system.
I would avoid them for this reason alone

Growatt Battery Issue Rectified Quickly
Had an issue with one if my batteries, giving low voltage warning and locking out. Once I'd been in touch with Growatt UK support, I was given simple instructions to verify the issue, then advised a service visit would be arranged.
Was them booked in and visited within a couple of week, fault rectified.

Battery problem that stopped all charging. Eugene from Growatt arrived promptly, he evaluated the problem carefully and reworked a number of components in the system. 100% perfect result. Growatt and Eugene did a brilliant 'no fuss' job of fixing the battery issue and even helped with some programming. 100% full marks - a 10/10 and great to see exceptional interest and work to resolve the issue we had.
