My property backs on the land that hacking and paterson factor

My property backs on the land that hacking & paterson factor and for 6 years they have palmed me off to get the land maintained. The trees back on to my fence and this has been damaged with overgrown trees and ivy and my summerhouse roof has been damaged once with overgrown trees and is now happening again. I phone weekly and get told someone will call me back and no one ever does and Ive tried having my MP involved. They tell me that if the residents dont want to carry out the work they dont have to. I have had enough, surely someone must be liable for damaging my property. It is in the houses deeds that they have to maintain the land and in 14 years no work at the area where my house is have they done any maintainance

Recommended Service

Mike and Abbie have recently taken over at Hacking and Paterson in the management of our 20 unit housing development. They faced unresolved maintenance issues when they started and have turned things around within 12 month by their expertise, good contacts in the building trades and hard work. Many thanks to both of them.

Roof Repair

H&P have always provide clear guidance…

H&P have always provide clear guidance and support when required.Their working relationship with the residents has been a significant factor in maintaining the standard of the estate.

Perhaps consideration should be given to the use of social media for more immediate responses than always using email.

Annie Railley.

My five star review is not reflective of my entire experience with Hacking and Paterson. I have lived in my flat for over 7 years and in that time have received some bad experience and lack of support. However recently a member of the team (I can only assume a new member) has been a wonderful help and has really implemented great support mechanisms for the residents of my flat - I need to mention them by name - Annie Railley! They have been a great support with our recent vermin issue and have been quick with communications - they are also resolving issues before residents are aware of them. They have been a great support and a breath of fresh air in all honesty. Therefore this 5 star review is solely for them alone.

Hacking and Paterson response

I have found Hacking and Paterson in general, to be very hands off re sorting out issues relating to the flats where I stay.

However, one stand out is a girl called Isla Ward, who so far has been very helpful and responsive to emails and phone calls I’ve made to her in relation to the decor in my close and issues relating to bicycle storage.

Major Rot Works

Recently had major rot repairs completed and were handled really well! Never a huge fan of factors but Alastair really guided us through it and even helped when funding fel short! A really stressful time was well managed.

Terrible communication

Terrible communication. Expensive work carried out that has not been agreed to. It’s assumed customers agree if they don’t disagree! Now Trying to terminate the contract to get a new factor and they’ve been obstructive and unhelpful.

Avoid!

Overpriced for what they do and prices rising every year. Now that as a community we have decided to change companies, they refuse to leave making thing very awkward. Avoid!

Tia Sharp is who I deal with, and she is excellent. Always pleasant and happy to help. Takes notes of all my issues ad updates me. Very happy with the service I receive. Her job is made harder when companies dont get back to her quick enough. No fault of hers ofcourse.

This company has been nothing but…

This company has been nothing but obstructive in our efforts as a collective community to remove them as our factor for our estate, in East Kilbride. Their unprofessional conduct and bullying tactics should be a warning to any potential future clients.

Need to give one star to review

Need to give one star to review - not deserving of that. Worst factors around avoid at all costs. Prices constantly rising management of property is shocking. Very unhelpful don’t care about property owners only money. Pay for a service and get nothing for it. Poor communication from staff also. Experience with Glasgow branch.
