Had this foam sprayed into my loft roof…

Had this foam sprayed into my loft roof in February 2024 and thought it was a good thing after being conned by the representative from HOME LOGIC who said this insullation was widely used in Canada,
However I was conatcted by a different firm at the beginning of this year telling me that all of this work would need to be removed as it had not been indstalled correctly no sealing between foam and roof membrane which had caused a lot of damp and beginning to rot the rafters.
They told me that it would be nearly impossible to sell my house with this foam installed.
I then had to get another firm out to remove the foam called REMOVESPRAYFOAM LTD when I read on line it should take two men working approximately a full week to remove this foam their TWO WORKERS only took 10 hours work each to remove the foam at a cost of £2750 which works out as £175 per hour.
Home logic has now gone into liquidation so there is no way I can get my monies back from them even though the insulation was supposed to have a 15 year warranty guarantee.
I WOULD STEERR CLEAR OF BOTH OF THESE COMPANIES AS THEY JUST SEEM TO BE GET RICH QUICK MERCHANTS
MY NAME IS BILL CROSS OF UPTON CHESTER

Complete scam this company sold my mum…

Complete scam this company sold my mum spray foam insulation in 2017, and it has caused her damp problems. The house should never had spray foam insulation installed. Complained to the Director Justin Perry who is a convicted criminal, this company have shut down now. The scam of having the spray removed and you can claim compensation is a scam too, stay well away from companies like this and seek advance from a qualified professional in the construction industry like an Architectural technologist, the whole spray foam industry in domestic houses with cold roofs should be shut down by the government. The people who operated these businesses know what they are doing and the don't care because all they want is your money, they have wreck 1,000's of home installing it.

What went on here was evil…

I worked for Home Logic back in 2022 for 6-7 weeks only as a field salesman. What I witnessed here beggars belief..well and truely shocked. These people are predators. The training was done in Southampton. That was an eye opener. It’s akin to “The Wolf of Wall Street “ they’d ring a bell in the office every time a sale was called in. WhatsApp groups did fist pumps on a sale. They have weekly lists of the best performing salesmen posted on the groups. They tried to shame the non-performers. They’d relish when new media reports came out about the energy prices going through the roof in 2022 as they felt it would make selling insulation easier. The bags of money icon was posted in the WhatsApp groups next to the article.
The training was mostly about structuring a sale and the psychology behind it. So little about the product itself.
The product (Spray foam) itself is lethal to a houses structural integrity overtime. Professional property surveyors detest it. It cost Home Logic £10 a sq meter to buy from “Mr Green” come back to “him” later. Home Logic then sold this crap for £150 a sq metre. They allowed the sales man to drop it to £100 a sq meter to try to bag a sale.
If a customer didn’t buy the “sweep up team” would work their magic the following day behing the customers and salesman’s back. They’d ring the customer if they didn’t buy on the day and cleverly pitch it “That there was a commercial job on in the local Tescos and they could send the lads over while Tesco was taking in food deliveries and wouldn’t allow spraying while the delivery was ongoing and the could do it for £40sqm but would need to know right now as they’re buying it in today at the commercial rate” a lot of people fell for this. No such job was being done. The salesman never heard a thing about the sale the office staff bagged the commission for themselves and played dumb on it when asked.
They didn’t care 2p about the customer and Justin the owner was surrounded by his band of Time Share pond scum salesmen. Thing that surprised me was they knew each other from different dodgy sectors. Time share, home improvement schemes like cavity wall insulation. Justin himself was ex-time share. Water always finds its own level.
Back to “Mr Geeen” Mr Green didn’t exist. He was an independent contractor who they used. Never found out who he was but the sales training told you when calling in your sale (on loudspeaker) the theatrical staff would pretend to have access to Greens diary and magically have a cancellation come in and the install could be done within 48 hours. Why? Because this cut down the chances of the customer changing their mind exponentially. Home Logic know this. You could Google it or talk to someone about it and change your mind so they tried to cut this off as much as possible by having it installed. It’s not a product that can be returned. They then only returned customers deposits by cheque and took ages to write the cheque.
I did contact a few journalists who did similar exposes but for some reason weren’t interested. Just to note-Justin the owner revived a 30 month prison sentence for scamming an elderly lady back in 2016.

So glad to see they’re gone but they’ll resurface again somewhere else with another product and the same faces. These people walk amongst us.

USE AT YOUR PERIL

USE AT YOUR PERIL, STRESS AND FINANCIAL LOSS Dont bother with this company. Usual hards sales crap about calling his manager and having to use his employee discount etc etc. Am ashamed i fell for it even though i negotiated a 60 % discount!
The loft insulation i bought was the metallic type that is attached to the rafters. Well after a week it was falling down. They came to rectify it and unbenownst to me they cut through a security camera cable. Shortly after the 'repair' it started falling down again. Have emailed countless times only to be continually ignored. A shamefull company

Having the spray foam instillation done…

Having the spray foam instillation done has affected my house sale greatly so please DO NOT have it done as your property will become difficult to sell as mortgage lenders do not like it. Home Logic also do not give any customer service after they have done the job despite giving you a 25 year guarantee. Be warned as it is costly to get it removed.

I beg of you DO NOT go anywhere near this company!!

I beg of you, DO NOT touch this company unless you want to spend the rest of your days regretting it!
I wouldn't even give this company a 1 star but you get no choice.
I was promised that this spray foam crap would add value on my home and make it more desirable to buyers. We had it put in at the end of March 2025, and now i have had 2 surveyors from 2 different and very genuine mortgage providers, come back with reports that have said that this stuff is already affecting the timbers in my roof! Only 17 months after it was put in! I've tried every which way i can to contact anybody from Home Logic, all to no avail. My solicitor has been doing a bit of digging on the company and their finance history, and found some very interesting reading about how one minute they were in the Black in their accounts and then the next day they were very deeply in the red.
I believe i was mis-sold this rubbish and do not think that i should have to pay out for a new roof when they failed on their side of the contract. There has been thousands of us conned in the same way and i believe there should be someone out there runnung a genuine compensation scheme to help us all claim our money back, plus the costs of putting the damage right.
Even if you have it removed, many mortgage providers will not lend on it so the only option is a whole new roof.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I, like so many other, put my email address into a Green Government Scheme in 2023 as it claimed to give home owners a voucher towards cheap insulation. I was contacted by Home Logic immediately, and a sales rep came round the next day.

As a first time home owner, I put my trust in Home logic. The sales rep used all the usual sales tactics others have experienced: "if you pay the deposit today you will get money off" and "I'll call my boss to reduce the price". Gave me a fancy brochure etc.

I booked in the install which was completed December 2023. I was assured at the time by sales rep Antony Tyers, and the install team, that this would not affect getting a mortgage. This was incorrect. Fast forward to now, I cant get a re-mortgage from any reputable lender until the spray foam is removed.

I had a third party company come round this year to assess the foam. This company was mentioned by Citizens advice. Fortunately, I changed my contact details since dealing with Home Logic, so I haven't been contacted by any spam company. The third party company advised that the spray foam had been sprayed directly onto my bitumen felt which has now compromised its structure. This was meant to be sprayed onto a membrane before the felt. The spray foam has completely sealed off my soffits, hindering the air ventilation. The spray foam has also been sprayed directly onto several cables, hindering my abilities to access the cables.

I sent an official complaint, and after several emails, the CEO sent round an install team. When I asked the Engineer whether the spray foam over electrical cables was correct (knowing that of course it wasn't) he responded "That is above my pay grade". Really calls into question the competency of the install team, and Home logic.

I have since sent several complaint emails and official letters to Home Logic. When you call the Home Logic number, it now suspiciously states its now Logic Foam. No one has responded, and no one has answered the phone.

I have put in a formal complaint with the finance company that provided me a loan for the goods, and they are currently investigating this issue. I am looking at legal advice under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, and The Consumer Rights Act 2015, and I suggest any persons reading this review to do the same.

I have also logged my complaint with Trading Standards.

Please also take the five star reviews with a pinch of salt. You can clearly see these were all "invited".

The only reduction I have noticed since the spray foam was done is in air quality, not bills.

If you value professionalism, integrity, accountability, honesty and transparency, avoid Home Logic with the longest barge pole you can find.

Spray Foam installation. The least logical thing for your home

Had the spray foam installed in my loft in 2021, because the company had good reviews and claimed to be part of a government scheme to make homes more energy efficient. The whole process of getting everything installed was an issue and not an easy process.
Have been contacted multiple times over the years since with various sales pitches for other products, every time I have requested my up to date documents and checks this has never happened.
Now in a similar position to others, I want to sell the property but I am concerned about the spray foam stopping the sale unless it is removed.
Like many, I have read the one show information which stated "home logic made the decision to cease all marketing, sales and installation of spray foam until an updated PCA protocol is released in 2025" they also states that "home logic says it will continue to warrant and guarantee all 20,000 spray foam installations, completing remedial works under warranty, updating when required all warranty paperwork to be compliant with guidelines at the time of installation, in most cases updating paperwork with evidence compliant with current PCA inspection protocol release in March 2023."
If this is the case were are you Home Logic? You don't answer calls, emails or reaching out via social media. You are putting upwards of 20,000 homes with no solution and resulting in many having to pay thousands to have the spray foam removed.

Scammers 2.0

Had open cell spray. For so many years I thought I did good thing for my house . As time came for remortgage I tried contacting Homelogic more than 1000 times calling everyday . They only answer one time and said they will transfer my details to specific department... Scammers.. can get a documents for surveyors anything.. they called me one time a year ago to come and check the foam but never showed up.... So what choice left just to remove cause everyone knows that they applied the foam to non breathable membrane and without even inspecting the rafter conditions. The installation was on 9/06/2022

DONT USE THEM

There has been a lot of concern about spray foam, I had read the BBC one show comment on their website and left it at that. Months later I started to receive numerous calls about the removal of the spray foam which I believed to be fake but I call caught my attention claiming to have been instructed by Home Logic to remove the spray foam.

I thought this was a little odd, but they had so much information that unsettled me. I reached out to Home Logic expressing my concern. They offered to do a warranty check, which I appreciated and said yes to. However, since then I have asked for the report and have not recieved one. I had a response to say everything is ok (literally those words). Again I asked to see a report detailing the findings of the warranty check. They have since ignored all calls and emails….. so something is not right regardless of th 25yr warranty I’m supposed to have and the 10year guarantee!

Save yourself a headache DONT USE THEM.

Having acquired a loan, spent 7k I’ll need 4-5k to remove it. 12k wasted on air! Devastated isn’t even close.

Do not use this company

I wish I had read the trust pilot reviews before I had this company to spray our loft. We have had a problem with a "greaselike" substance seaping through onto the ceiling if our landing. Homelogic came to look and said the last bit of foam hadn't been mixed properly. Do the rest did a portion of the loft and paid for a decorator to put right the ceiling. Unfortunately the same thing has happened again. As in previous reviews, we have emailed several times to the ceo of the company but as yet not had any response.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. We agree with all negative reviews. We have a long list of issues but in summary, sub par quality on handles and abysmal customer service. Handle already rusted. Walls damaged by the scaffolders and although they say they will rectify nothing ever happens. The sales experience is a joke, we ended up paying the going rate for windows, price checked with a few local suppliers. Don't be fooled by the discount they claim you are receiving from the manager that needs to be called. It's all part of the thinly veiled sales tactic. We had great fitters though and the windows themselves are good. Just a shame the company is poorly run and the customer experience is anything but easy. If the 12 month interest free is the appeal just shop around as there are plenty of other companies that will offer this.

Crooks- mis sold and ruined house worth

I don’t want to give any stars- these crooks ruined my house and made it unsellable and un insurable!
They lied about being part of gov scheme ( which was free) pretended I just had to pay a top up fee of 6 grand.. which turned out to be nonsense- the gov scheme was free completely. I was taken completely advantage of.
A single mother on low income- I thought putting the foam in would bring bill costs down-
It didn’t make the slightest difference to bills and then when I came to sell the house not a single bank would touch it because of the name of the company and owner Justin.
I had to pay for a complete removal and new roof before I could put house back on market!!!

Really ask a professional first because it can cause you a lot of problems in the future

Had the spray foam on the inside of the roof all seemed good until I had a professional to check that all was good, he instantly said it shoud be removed as soon as possible as it’s not up to any standard, the cardboard that was supposed to give a air flow was missing from a number of places and the foam was sprayed directly onto the roof membrane and on the timber, so I advise anybody thinking of having this done you should give a great deal of thought as it’s costing a lot of money to have it removed

Waste of time

Won't answer any complaints we have, or try to fix our issue. Constantly being told someone will contact us and they just don't bother.
Solar panels have been broken since the middle of May.
My husband has checked the issue, end of September, and sorted himself, and it could have caused a house fire due to the poor workmen ship. luckily he fixed it before it happened.
We visited the office 3 times now, and no one is ever there, receptionist hardly bothers to answer the phone between the 9am-12pm hours, and says she'll contact people but never does.
