Difficult getting answers from customer…

Difficult getting answers from customer care representatives. Billing says providers are out of network when in fact the Humana website designates in network for the provider. Appeals process is terrible. They make you jump through hoops filling out appeal forms.
Never had this experience with other Medicare advantage plans.

Don't get Humana Dental--shop around

A tooth in my lower jaw broke off. I went to the dentist. They x-rayed my mouth. They told me that I needed to see an oral surgeon.They referred me to one. I went & the Dr. said I needed surgery for the root to be removed...that it can become infected. To have it done soon. Surgery is around 1200 & Humana won't cover any of it. The reason? It's not preventative. Yes, Humana, it is preventative. Now, Humana says they won't cover the X-rays. I rate Humana Dental with a ZERO not a one. Bottom rung insurance.

Their HUMANA website is as bad as Centerwell

Their website was as bad as Centerwell. Just an endless maze with never accomplishing what you originally went into the site for. Their chat module did not work at all. Just the worst experience I EVER had on a website. HUMANA is equally as bad as Centerwell for their websites. They need to scrap both sites and start all over with someone like me doing a test drive before they re-launch!!

This a terrible heath care

This a terrible heath care. Humana owns Conviva where you never see a medical doctor only an assistant. If you get injured you better go to urgent care cause they can't see you for weeks. They go by a general guide line of care and do not listen to your concerns. They prescribe medicine you don't need and order test that you also don't need. When you decline to let them do that to you they inform you they will report you as non compliant. You get perks thru centerwell that provides you with the cheapest products that they can find. Centerwell has an order form that shows you a premium item which they replace with a cheap knock off. I would advise you to look at complains on Humana's facebook page as well as on other social media.

Humana has gone from really good to…

Humana has gone from really good to really bad in just 3 years. Been on Medicare for 3 years, deductibles have skyrocketed, coverage has slipped, and come November I am definitely switching, probably to Aetna. Why do do not care about your customers when you're making billions off then?

I am so thrilled with the insurance companies customer service especially Alonna who went above and beyond to give me great advice, a ride to a Dr , gym membership and simply took time to explain things I'm glad I know now and grateful. God 🙏 bless you all

Humana offers rides for handicap…

Humana offers rides for handicap accessible people through safe rideto get them to their doctor appointments every time we book a ride through their company the night before it’s canceled. This is the sixth time now. And every time I call Humana or their company safe ride I get nothing but excuses nobody’s willing to help me get my handicap mother to her doctor appointment and no one cares. This is the second time I rented a ramp which cost $500 to set up plus $280 a month to rent Just for my mother can go to her doctor appointment since October one out of six appointments they were able to give my mother a ride that is totally unacceptable and nobody wants to help. she broke her leg in February and needs to do a follow up visit. It was supposed to be in March but I was unable to pay for the ramp now that we got it we cannot get a ride then we have to go see the doctor that did the bypass and put 22 stents in my mom to make sure those are all working, but I’m afraid to make the appointment because safe ride cancels the appointments every time in Humana don’t really care

Worst insurer I’ve ever dealt with

Worst insurer I’ve ever dealt with. They are turning down medications that I have valid reason for and have gotten from previous insurers. Their review policy is a joke. A waste of your insurance dollars. To add insult to injury, I get countless robocalls from them. All useless. I had to put a date on this review, this is from most recent experience, it is simply the latest of many and we’re only four months into the year.

Humana…a solid ZERO!

If it were possible to rate a ZERO I would. I have a stand alone Rx plan, medicare approved plan with Humana. The plan is so confusing with its deductibles and out of pocket maximums even the overseas reps can’t explain it properly. Each time I call and ask the very same question verbatim, you get a different answer and $ amount. The plan itself may start paying something along about October if you are fortunate or unfortunate to have a high priced med but overall the plan is a useless mind numbing pile of horse hockey. I wish I could drop the plan altogether now rather than suffer through the next 8 months.
Honestly this part of Medicare needs an overhaul. Seniors can not afford $2100 a year in addition to premiums deducted from their monthly pittance check to pay for this trash. Lord help you if you don’t have a “credible” drug plan because then you’re penalized on top of the “crap…for…plan” coverage.
Stay away from this company. Even their mail order Rx is owned by them (Center Well) and charges more than my local Rx for the exact same script plus they don’t transfer scripts from other pharmacies…the doctor will have to re-issue the script and send it to Center Well which adds another whole level of confusion to the mix. Yep, Humana is to be avoided at least for Part D drug plans.

Despise the company

Despise the company! 6 months in and major, major lack of communication, and knowledge amongst the CSRs. Each time I call for an update we have to reinvent the wheel. No Claim number was ever provided, just conversation references. Each call takes at least an hour, with guaranteed multiple transfers and explanations. I CANNOT shout loud or long enough how much I despise Humana's lacking concern as a thoughtful, helpful entity. It is always negative for me when I call, it's the deficient quality of training, no Claim continuity and general absence of retrievable information. Horror, it is horror dealing with Humana.

I just talked to my 2nd CS rep @ Humana…

I just talked to my 2nd CS rep @ Humana and I still have no idea what hospital or doctor I can go to. I was told to call & ask the hospital, they will know better !?? Isn't that the CS reps job ? The 1st rep informed me medical care is not the same in all locations, that's why she isn't familiar with an Emergency Room ! I am so frustrated with this company & of course I am 6 days late to change.

Would give a -10 if I could! Worst customer service ever. Cannot understand the overseas phone reps at all! Cannot get a direct phone number or email to speak with the same person. You’ll have to repeat your history in full each time you call. They refuse to transfer you to a supervisor or manager. I have been trying since January 6 to get authorizations that THEY claim have been given, but provider says they HAVEN’T received. I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone with these yahoos! As soon as eligible, I’m going elsewhere!

78-year-old senior citizen getting support services to stay in my own home Humana all of a sudden with no warning is not paying the services cannot continue so I have special dietary needs and I have been without for 2 weeks. What has happened to the "human" in Humana?

It's no secret our medical establishment is spiraling downward in the USA, notably, for those 65 & over. The concerns I air AREN'T about the medical/doctor personnel shortage occurring, but far more for we seniors. On 1/26/26, I wrote a ltr. to the President, Jim Rechtin and copied in the apparently new offshoot, Center Well IPA Solutions "division" for we 65+ & over crowd, Renee Buckingham. I asked them both, among OTHER concerns evidenced, WHY they didn't notify their senior customers of this change? No need to hide the fact, they wish to segregate us due to our being expendable and not profitable for their shareholders. I received NO reply to the 1 page ltr. from either, never addressing ANY of my concerns noted. I would advise seniors to scrutize their medical coverage & POTENTIAL INSURER before they "leap" come fall of 2026. Much speciousness occurring with their separating off we, the senior sector of customers and the curtailing of benefits, WITHOUT ANY type of communication of their changes whatsoever.

Nothing in life is perfect

Nothing in life is perfect. But when you have a company striving for perfection… this is what you get. I talked to customer service representative who would not listen to my story. She kept repeating what she saw on her computer as if it was gospel. I got so frustrated, I told her to close my account. She then transferred me to the department that helps you close your account. OMG, I met an angel. As I was frustratingly telling her my experience and why I was closing the account, she spread her angel wings, looked up my records and resolved all my problems. She was patient, kind and caring I call her an angel. Jasmine Bishop is the true example of a patient, caring, and helpful human being. She gives a shine on Humana. I kept my plan with them and will continue because of Jasmine Bishop.

I would give this company 1/2 star if I…

I would give this company 1/2 star if I could. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and have had a difficult time adjusting my meds. My neurologist was able to find a med that finally gave me some quality of life. The med is covered but not available in generic which seems to be all Humana focuses on. Now they have denied my fill because my doctor increased the dosage slightly to smooth out my hills and valleys. Their excuse is my "safety". Some subcontractor who knows nothing about my case thinks they know more than my neurologist. The real reason is they don't want to pay for the drug and want me to go back to the cheaper generic regimen that doesn't work. The bottom line is it is all about the money and not your health.
