Fabulous provider and great service.

Everything I need from a supplier this company maybe in its infancy but is five stars all the way, from installation to any ongoing queries. Professional, attentive, and personal because they are a small business. Infinics have their finger on the pulse of the service they provide because its a small run company.

The service is okay but there’s parts that could be better .

I will not be renewing after my current term ends (24 months about 8 months into it ) . Based off my experience with the company .

Firstly would like to point out I am aware MS3 is relatively new and there is bound to be various teething issues . ( it would be nice if infinics like other providers on the ms3 network text or email to notify customers there are issues / planned works that may impact internet service . )

There is no way to view your account online no way to even to view your contract ( which you don’t even sign you just tick a box saying you have read the terms and conditions which is how I know if the prices lower my whole contract would restart so in the event they offer a lower price i would decline )

The hubs they send out are not the best , all though they output the supported speed via Ethernet this is not made very clear to people when they are obtaining the service . They do offer an option to pay slightly more each month for a more capable router but you’d be best opting to just buy your own via Argos for the same price a month . The router they supply on Amazon is around £30 . Am aware it’s to keep costs down as they are a small company .

There responses can be a bit hit and miss again all of this could be better resolved if customers had a way to view their services via a web login such as ways to amend a direct debt , change or upgrade services or cancel services . A place where a customer can obtain their contract and pre contract information, showing if there’s any known issues on the network or planned maintenance.

As at the moment only way I know when my contract will end is via my install confirmation and the direct debt going out of my bank each month . Which is not ideal . It would be more reassuring if as a customer I had easy access to things like my payment info contract etc via an online portal. I’m aware I can legally request this information via email or phone but it’s easier for many via online .

There is things they do do well though, you get decent speeds when ms3 is not having issues ( and you don’t use the hub they provide ) , the customer service team is more personalised your not phoning up to a call centre abroad .

The price is reasonable compared to the likes of BT and virgin .

What would make the service even better is them little things that makes things more easier for the customer as it’s also more reassuring as for many they’d be an unknown company . Being able to view my account via a web portal with info I can amend or update, change or cancel my services. Not everyone is tech savvy so a lot of it can be a little confusing to a customer .

For that reason is why I have given my rating that I’ve given and why when my contract is up I will be changing to an alternative ISP on Ms3 .

Of course if during the time of my contract the customer stuff is improved such as the online portal then I’d most likely stay as for most people they just browse the web so the hub they supply on the lower packages would be alright.

It’s just the little things makes all the difference.

GREAT SERVICE AND CHEAP.

installation team were professional and polite. service is a lot better than KC, customer service has been very good. And most importantley more than half the price of KC. And no I am not affiliated to intinics in any way, just a customer.

Would be 0. Shocking reliability and even worse customer service

If you are in the Hull area and want to move from KCOM for cheaper prices, don't...

I took out a 1000/1000 upload download package, installed on the 27th of September and since then have had nothing but issues with it.

Firstly the router they supply is a piece of crap cheap router. This wouldn't be an issue but this is a gigabit network up and down so should at least be able to maintain close to that.

Using the industry standard Speedtest.net my network speeds vary wildly. Since Wednesday last week I have had speeds as high as 900 download to as low as 5 (there is only one device on the network so it's not others using it). Upload wise it is even worse. The highest I've seen when testing is 600 and it's gone as low as 1.

I have phoned infinics 3 times about this now and their response is a lacklustre "we will look into this for you, we will contact you later today" and then they never get back to me.

What takes the mickey is that this evening, after their business closing hours, I'm getting speeds of 22 down and 16 up. I could get these speeds on a copper network and wouldn't expect it on a Fibre to the home network. To say I'm disappointed with my service is an understatement and will be breaking my contract with them if it isn't resolved in a timely manner as they aren't providing anywhere close to the service I am paying for.

Hi Samual,

The Mercusys AC1200 router we provide is equipped with 3 Full Gigabit-capable Ethernet ports, which means it can handle the high-speed data transfer rates required for your 1Gbps package through wired connections.

However, we understand that Wi-Fi performance is crucial for some customers, and that’s why we offer an optional upgrade to a more advanced Wi-Fi router for customers who require faster wireless speeds.

Our intention in offering this upgrade is not to upsell or mislead customers but to provide flexibility for those who need higher Wi-Fi speeds, We understand the allure of Wi-Fi 6 routers, but providing them for all our customers would necessitate raising package costs, that’s why we took the decision to keep prices as low as possible for everyone and offer the option to either use your own router or upgrade if you specifically need faster than 867 Mbps over WiFi.

At the time of your review we are aware that MS3 did have some outages across their entire network that was affecting nearly all of their customers, its unfortunate that you was one of the affected customers but it was out of our control.

In response to your customer service issue, I can see from our ticketing system that you have had conversations with a member of our team with a full investigation into your issues, including light level checks on the Fibre and ONT, we have also offered to replace the router you have, I can also see that you have responded to their messages and requested further investigations which the team have carried out.

Our office hours are 9-5 Monday-Friday but you are still able to email support 24/7 if you have an issue, if the issue is not resolvable out of hours then the relevant teams will pick it up as soon as they start work.

If there is a time that you have not had a response, or someone hasn't called you back could you please email ultrafast@infinics.co.uk with the details and we will definitely look into this for you.

Miss-sold and misleading information!!

Miss-sold and misleading information!!

I’ve recently just switch from Kcom to Infinics. Was always a little wary as the MS3 roll-out hasn’t really been tried and tested yet.

After an initial conversation with an Infinics employee I decided to go with them on the basis that the router provided was suitable for the package I was taking out(1000mbps). I’ve always been a little cautious as I know how much a good/bad router can affect your Wifi connection and speeds.

The router that has actually been supplied is a mercusys ac1200(very cheap and basic)Which is well under spect for my package. (867Mbps at 5Ghz or 300Mpbs at 2.4Gh.)

Long story short, the 1GB package they offer isn’t 1GB, as the router isn’t capable of doing that. Infinics solution to this problem…. Pay £5.50 more a month for a better router. How about you just supply a router that’s capable of the speeds I’m paying for in the 1st place rather than miss-selling your packages. Very disappointed.

I was supposed to be connected to the infinics supply 1st Sept. Following the expiry of my contract with Sky Broadband.

The engineer arrived on the said day only to inform me that the they hadn’t installed the cable prior to him arriving despite someone having been as one weekend whilst out someone had dug up all the stones in the front garden, flailed mud all up the brickwork and left the stones piled into a corner.

This company then left me without internet for a further 13 days as they can not seem to get MS3 group to sort a cable out to a new build property. Subsequently, I’ve had to pay for the use of BT wifi as a means to run a business and my home security appliances.

I’d like to think that I have been very lenient towards Infinics by allowing them enough time to sort this issue out however, when you are told something will be done by a particular date and they delay further you have to draw a line and go back to the big ISP’s.

It’s also worth noting if you are considering to use this company, they are not an internet service provider but a reseller of a service as per Ofcom whom are looking into this company following my complaint to them thus meaning they have no ADR measures in place.

Such a shame as we all want to buy local but in this case it’s a poor setup from a company who can not deliver.
They shouldn’t be allowed to feature on uswitch

Hi Neil,

We certainly are an ISP that can and does deliver a suitable service to customers up and down the country, we have been approved to feature on many comparison websites, including USwitch, and have not received any communication or complaints from Ofcom

You have mentioned MS3 Networks in your review, They are the Network provider in Hull and Surrounding areas, not the ISP, similar to how Openreach works for the rest of the country, so like many others in the area, we sell bandwidth on their network, we have a number of other network providers that we can use if you are unhappy with MS3.

Any engineers that would have attended your property to lay cables or install equipment would be from MS3 not Infinics, we will be sure to pass on your complaints and concerns about their standard of work to them so that they can address them.

In the interest of clarity, it is worth noting that we are paying for the first 5 days of your temporary internet connection and offered to continue paying for the duration of the delay but you refused and said that you wanted to pay for it yourself.

It’s also worth pointing out that the delay of 12 days is of course not what we would want to see for any customers but it is due to the conduits outside your new build property being blocked with debris so the engineers can not get fibre into it, MS3 are currently waiting on a permit from the local council to clear the blockage so that they can lay new fibre.

Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience you've faced and appreciate your willingness to bring these issues to our attention. If there is anything we can do to rectify the situation or if you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service team on 03333444043. We value all of our customers and hope for the opportunity to serve you better in the future.
