The fabric is beautiful, but the wait time is absurdly too long. I’ll likely not buy anything again for that particular reason. Customer service was ok, not quick to respond at times and the delivery... See more

Customer Service Update: I received my furniture about four month‘s ago and still LOVE it! ❤️ Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my customer service experience. When I placed my order, I specifically asked Sean who I should contact if I had any questions or concerns because I had seen negative reviews about customer service. He assured me, “If anything was to happen with your order, I communicate with customer service for you!” The day after my furniture arrived, I emailed and texted Sean with two questions: whether I could purchase/exchange for taller legs because the furniture sat lower than I expected, and whether I could receive the 5% price adjustment I was told I qualified for.
I contacted him on May 26th and provided my order and POM numbers. He responded on May 29th saying he would look into it. And then…no response. Due to several deaths in my family, I didn't follow up again until August 31st, when I explained that I had just realized I never received a response. Ironically, on September 4th, Sean emailed me promoting their latest Labor Day sale. Yet he still hadn't responded to my outstanding customer service request.
I followed up again by email and text on September 14th expressing my disappointment. Still no response.
To be clear, I LOVE my furniture and have no complaints about the product and “considered” ordering again. My issue is the lack of follow through and communication after the sale. I understand that things happen and that people get busy, but after multiple attempts over several months, I feel that my experience is worth sharing. It's pretty disappointing to be contacted when there's an opportunity to make another sale, while my existing customer service concerns remain unanswered 😌.
I hope someone from the company eventually sees this and can help resolve the questions I originally reached out about.
Ordered furniture in April - we’re at the end of September and my estimated delivery date is now estimated as early November. IF that occurs it’ll be a 28 week lead time versus the 12 noted on my order. Not confident I’ll have it before Thanksgiving, if it all. Customer service has been pleasant and quick to respond. That said my furniture has been sitting at the port for months and all they can offer are vague non-answers on why it has not been released to the delivery company. Reeks of cash flow issues. Buyer beware.
I haven't received my furniture yet but so far the delivery date has pushed out 3 months and I'm still 4 months from the delivery date so we'll see how many more times it pushes.
I purchased a beautiful custom made couch online from Interior Define at teh beginning of June of 2026. The expected time of delivery was around 8 weeks. Unfortunately, the delivery date continues to be extended and today I discovered that the delivery is pushed back until approximately at the end of October/beginning in December. Sigh.
I’ve contacted the company multiple times to address this delay and I keep being told that the manufacturing site abroad has been experiencing manufacturing delay despite production on the couch being started. How in the world has production begun and it will take 6 months or more to build a couch? Are they actually making the textile for the couch from scratch or going out to cut wood themselves to create the frame of the couch???
I contacted the company last month and even went into the store in Tribeca to see what could be done. I was hoping for the option of some type of refund. I was told since the production of the couch started, I can not get a refund. I did know about the refund/return policy for custom made couches but the this was with the expectation that they would deliver their product in a timely manner.
I am placing another inquiry about the purchase to find a reasonable solution. If they don’t come up one and guarantee a reasonable date for delivery or a refund, I would recommend that no one purchase from this company.
Do NOT order from this company. My experience has been terrible. I ordered an ottoman in March 2026. I was told that it would be delivered June. Every time I check the tracking since June, it says it has shipped. Unless it is coming from Mars, it has not. It is now expected Oct 23-30. I’m sure it won’t be here. They only refunded my shipping. No other discount.
Bought a couch. Told to expect 8-12 weeks for delivery. Now waiting over 8 months and the "expected delivery" is still over 8 weeks away.
Absolutely terrible service. I ordered a sofa from them over 2 months ago simply because 1) I wanted a custom-ish sofa, 2) good quality (their quality is actually terrible), 3) good price (again, horrible price for shit quality and shittier customer service). I made sure to check in every now and then before the expected delivery dates just to get an update on my order. At no point in time was I told that "there was an issue with one of their vendors," UNTIL I had to hound them down and force a response out of them after reporting them to the BBB and making several social media posts about my experience. I will NEVER in my LIFE, be ordering from them again, and I will most definitely be doing everything in my power to make sure no one I know does either.
This is actually my second time in 6 years purchasing from Interior Define, so I should have known better, but I gave benefit of the doubt because it was peak COVID last time, and I was aware of the supply chain challenges impacting the industry.
This time, I placed my order this time for a sofa on 7/27, with an estimated delivery window of 9/21 – 11/2). I reached out via email for an update because my order status has not changed since placing it 6+ weeks ago. (Note: online chat does not work nor is there CX phone number to reach anyone at). I finally got an "update" a week later:
"Hi Carmen,
"We received an update that, regrettably, the Maxwell Slipcovered Sofa is experiencing a vendor-related fulfillment delay. At this moment, we don’t have a firm estimated delivery window for your bed. Please rest assured that we are actively monitoring the situation. Once additional details are available, the online tracking page will be updated accordingly."
I now cannot get in touch with any CX individual to provide a real update. Not only was this a clear boiler plate response (they even referred to my order as a bed vs. a sofa in the second sentence), but provided no clarity on what is causing said delay and if that delay means the furthest delivery date (11/02) is at-risk/unlikely of being met.
As others have mentioned, ID competes with much larger retailers, who despite also having ~12 week delivery windows, actually have customer support you can connect with.
AVOID Interior Define. Not worth the headache and treating customers paying thousands of dollars like they are disposable. "Actively monitoring" is not a solution.
I ordered my soda in April 2026 from a store in Seattle. I was so excited to finally get my 1st new sofa ever after after always having used ones. I paid more money than I should have, but figured it would be worth it and I could have a lovely sofa for many years to come.
Now here we are, Sept 2026 and no sofa! I even got rid of my old one in June because the site looked like the delivery was just a few weeks away.
I have been in communication with the company and basically it’s just sitting someone at a port in CA and they don’t even know where. All they offer is a $300 refund when my sofa cost almost $3000. I just want them to cancel the order with a full refund at this point. I have never been so disappointed with a company in my entire life and I am almost 50 years old.By next month it will be 6 months I’ve waited. It doesn’t matter how nice the furniture is because you will pay ahead of time and never receive. This company is a scam. No other way to put it. Do not order from them! You will regret it!!!
I would rather a refund and just go get a soda at Ashley furniture or even used at this point. I would give 0 stars if I could.
I placed an order with Interior Define in March 2026 and was originally given an estimated delivery timeline of July. As of August, I had received only part of my order, and I can see on my account that the remaining furniture is not expected to arrive until October.
That means an order originally estimated to take roughly four months will now take closer to seven months to be completed, nearly twice the original timeline.
Delays can happen, particularly with made-to-order furniture, but what I find especially frustrating is the lack of meaningful communication or customer service surrounding such a significant delay. When I contacted Interior Define simply asking for a status update, the response I received was clearly AI-generated and offered little in the way of actual information or accountability.
This is not inexpensive furniture. At this price point, I expect more than repeatedly shifting delivery estimates and automated responses when I ask where my order is. If a company is going to ask customers to wait seven months for a furniture order, proactive, human communication and transparency should be the bare minimum.
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience and would hesitate to order from Interior Define again.
Ordered a sofa with a 10-12 week promised timeline. As I keep tracking this, it keeps pushing back estimated delivery. Now at 20 weeks. We have never heard a peep about this. I only know from tracking from their website.
Title: Nearly 22 Weeks, No Sofa and No Answers
I placed my order on March 29 based on Interior Define’s advertised 8–12 week delivery timeframe. Nearly 22 weeks later, I still have no sofa, no firm delivery date, and no credible explanation for the delay.
I have repeatedly contacted Interior Define through the proper customer-service channels, but meaningful communication has been virtually nonexistent. I receive vague responses—or no response at all—while I am left chasing basic information about an order that should have arrived months ago.
I am an interior designer, and this sofa was ordered for a client. Interior Define’s failure to deliver and communicate is now affecting my client relationship and professional reputation. The delay is unacceptable, but the complete lack of transparency, urgency, and accountability is even worse.
I want to know where the sofa is, what caused the delay, when it will actually arrive, and what Interior Define intends to do to make this right. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend ordering from this company.
Do not buy from Interior Define! I read all of the negative feedback about delivery timelines but decided to try them anyway, and it has been a huge disappointment. The timeline for delivery was 8 - 14 weeks and I'm on week 12 with an estimated delivery of October (5 weeks away). This couch has become a family joke. Learn from my mistake and buy elsewhere!
5 months and. 5 emails and DMs later I got my money back. They never even started to make the custom sofa, bed and ottoman I ordered. Wasted my time
BE AWARE!!
Awful experience with this company, Who clearly don’t seem to care about customers.
They sent me the WRONG banquette! I called my local Interior Define and the sales woman was very apologetic and helped me place a new order with the correct piece. That was in MARCH the delivery window is currently being pushed back and back to the current estimated date of late October. I’ve now spent about a year waiting for one banquette section. Not to mention sending me the wrong one to begin with but they lie about the “estimated delivery” if you have a year or more to wait for furniture go ahead and use them. After this gets delivered (If ever) I will not order from them again. Other customers mention getting refunded for delivery etc. I was never offered that. There are many similar if not better companies out there who are up front and have professional standards.

The delivery of a large piece of furniture placed in March 2026 has been pushed back four times. It is now due to arrive in October; 7 month later! They continually switch their delivery windows without contacting the customer. After several emails I finally got my shipping fees refunded but I am still waiting. Had I have known about these delivery issues I would NEVER have ordered from this company.

Ordered a sofa. Was told 10-12 weeks turnaround. Delay, delay, delay. I complained, was delayed again. Order is now going to be 28 weeks! Do not custom order from this company unless you live long enough to receive it.

The furniture is fine, but the customer service, both online and in-store, leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a piece that was promised within a 2–4 week delivery window. As it became increasingly clear that timeline wasn't going to happen, my emails went unanswered, so I finally went into the store to try to sort things out in person. When it became clear the piece still wasn't going to arrive on time, the store manager's response was, "When do you need it by?" Well...within the 2–4 weeks I was promised. I ultimately received a refund, but not once did anyone apologize for the missed timeline or the inconvenience.
I'm currently waiting on a bed (which, given the quality, takes far longer to build than I'd expect), and the communication has been equally frustrating. I've received multiple confusing emails about a COI sent to two different email addresses. When I pointed out that I'd already provided all of the required information to one of their colleagues, the response was essentially, "Yes, we know."
The furniture itself is decent, but the buying experience has been disappointing enough that I wouldn't choose to go through it again.

I finally did receive my long awaited Sloan Corner Sectional on July 20, 2026. I am happy with the sofa itself, but am still awaiting the $574 refund promised in an email from Debbie in customer service on June 29, 2026 which was for $299.00 shipping fee refund and the $275.00 structural delay refund (Total: $574.00). Would love to get a response from Inteior Define as to when I might expect this refund.
I'm happy to hear that I can expect someone to reach out regarding the refund. However, I'll believe it when I see it, given the lack of response in the past. I don't know why it's so hard to honor your refund offer.

I ordered an Ella 4-Seat Right-Chaise Sectional from Interior Define on March 18, 2026. Since then, my estimated delivery date has been pushed back multiple times. The current estimate is now September 4–11, 2026, nearly six months after I placed my order.
I understand that delays can happen. What has been incredibly frustrating is the repeated cycle of getting close to the estimated delivery window only to have it delayed yet again. After multiple revised delivery dates, I still have no confidence that this latest estimate will actually be the final one.
The customer service representative (David S.) has always been kind and professional, and I appreciate his efforts. They have apologized, explained that they’re monitoring my order, and said they will request that it be prioritized once it reaches the local delivery facility. Unfortunately, that doesn’t change the fact that my order continues to be delayed without any assurance that the newest delivery window will actually be met.
When you spend several thousand dollars on a custom piece of furniture, you expect more than beautiful designs, you expect realistic timelines, transparent communication, and a company that stands behind the delivery estimates it provides.
I truly hope the sofa lives up to its reputation because I have been looking forward to receiving it. However, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend the purchasing process. I hope Interior Define’s management takes a serious look at its production planning, logistics, and customer communication so future customers don’t experience months of shifting delivery estimates with no certainty about when their furniture will actually arrive.
