I’m not sure why this company exists or what value they provide. In my experience they are useless and dangerous.
I had a dental infection whilst working away. I called International SOS as I wrongly assumed they could help find me an emergency dentist or Doctor as I was in severe pain.
The told me there were no emergency dentists in krakow working over a weekend and that i would need to wait until Monday for them to book an appointment the following week.
Instead I quicly found a dentist myself
(It was easy but perhaps international SOS dont have google). Apparently they only help if its not an emergency and they can source and appointment from their preferred supplier list (assuming because they receive commission). They’d rather have you die of an infection than to arrange an appointment with a local provider.
Dangerous advice and utterly useless service. Stay well clear of this redundant company.

I was on business trip and got a bad chest infection. Called the assistance center, spoke with a nurse who found me an appointment with a doctor the same day. Very reactive.
I purchased a Global Traveler Membership on October 3, 2022. To my surprise, the coverage given was "single-trip" whereas I had requested "multiple-trip."
I called SOS the same day. Long hold, confusion. Ultimately a commitment that this would be rectified. On return from overseas I found no correction. Called again November 17. Long hold, confusion. But reassurance that "a ticket had been issued on October 3" to rectify the problem. Apparently, these valiant attempts had failed.
This did not inspire confidence and I requested to speak to a manager. I was refused a name but reassured that a manager would call me shortly. That was two weeks ago! No call, and no written correction to my insurance.
When dealing with a company for emergency services, it is essential that they (1) have their paperwork in order and (2) communicate efficiently. Clearly, this company has failed on both accounts.
