Paid $12.99 for a proxy that never worked — refund refused
On Oct 2, 2026 I purchased a static residential proxy (US, Zone A, $12.99). It never connected — not on Mac, not on iPhone. TCP reached the server but their server killed the SOCKS5 handshake (verified with curl: "connection to proxy closed"). After an entire afternoon of troubleshooting, support blamed my setup and refused any refund, citing "no refunds for subjective reasons."
What I found afterwards:
ipfoxy.com is registered via Alibaba Cloud (HiChina), registrant in Guangdong, China — despite claiming to be a Singapore company
Their own help center runs a "Rewarding Reviews" program offering free traffic for 5-star reviews — the positive reviews are bought
Their Terms of Service: all sales final, no refunds "for any reason"
Avoid. There are honest providers out there; this isn't one.
I purchased an Australian proxy from IPFoxy for one year. However, when I used it to sign in to my eBay account, the location showed as different countries, including the USA and Spain, instead of Australia.
I contacted IPFoxy support and explained the issue. I requested either a replacement proxy or even a partial refund, but they refused to provide any solution.
Since I paid for a one-year proxy service that did not work as expected, I’m very disappointed with the service and customer support. I expected them to offer at least a replacement or partial refund, but unfortunately, they did not.
I bought a "Native Residential A" proxy from IPFoxy. I tested it on Scamalytics, and it shows Datacenter: Yes — meaning it is actually a datacenter IP, not a residential proxy.
I contacted customer service and asked for a refund because the product does not match the description. They refused, saying that "third-party detection results are for reference only" and that they cannot guarantee results on different platforms. But Scamalytics is the industry standard for risk detection — TikTok, Reddit, and other platforms reference it.
They also said "non-fault issues are not eligible for refunds," but this is not a fault issue — it's a mismatch between the product I paid for and what I received.
If you need a real residential proxy for social media accounts, I would not recommend this service.
I had been using their 7-dollar-per-month IP service (I had been using it for over half a year, all on the company's IP). Recently, I needed a more pure IP and upgraded to the 12-dollar plan. However, when I checked 10 IP detection websites, 8 of them detected that it was a company IP, but they refused to admit it. Please don't buy it at all, it's all a scam.
Scam website.
If I could, I would give them a zero-star rating. Their IPs were blacklisted, causing all my business accounts to get banned, yet customer service refused to issue a refund or provide replacement IPs. They even tried to get me to spend more money on other IPs—it’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve cancelled all my services with them. I really should have checked the reviews on Trustpilot sooner.
Extremely dishonest advertisement.
Was advertised a native residential ASN ISP proxy - Which means the ASN is leased from a REAL residential provider.
In reality got a cheap zenlayer data center proxy, with the ASN clearly leased from them....
When contacted customer service, they tried to downplay that and give a bs excuse, extermely dissapointed.
Scam website, ordered Pakistani IP and issued me hongkong ip and refuse to refund
Spam IP
The trust score is extremely low. For a fee of $13, this is garbage. It was purchased from Malaysia, but IPdata shows it's in the US. The fraud score is 100.
I purchased an "Australian Static Residential IP" from IPFoxy. What I received was an IP that geolocates to Hong Kong, belongs to a commercial data center, and is classified as "Data Center / Hosting" by multiple independent tools (Scamalytics, IP2Location, etc.). This is NOT a residential IP. It's a cheap, low-quality data center proxy that any competent fraud system would instantly flag.
When I provided clear evidence to their support and asked for a replacement or refund, they refused. They insisted it's "Australian" despite all evidence to the contrary. They are either incompetent or deliberately scamming customers.
Do not trust IPFoxy. They sell mislabeled, low-quality proxies and have zero customer support when their fraud is exposed. Save your money and go with a reputable provider . This company is a joke.
This is absolutely terrible. I bought a Singapore IP address, but the ASN is a service provider that can't be found. They use data center proxies to impersonate residential IP addresses and don't offer any refunds. Please don't buy from them to avoid being scammed.
They are not returning the $42 remaining on my account balance. The minimum deposit to the account is $50, which I deposited. After using the service briefly, I decided to withdraw the remaining funds. However, the support team informed me that such an option is not available and that they will not return the money. They refused to issue a refund.

Don't waste your money. They sell Chinese data center proxies at the price of US residential proxies. Thieves.
Update: this is in response to the IPFoxy's reply to this review. They responded by basically saying that I am lying and that their proxies are genuine. But it is once again just another deception tactic. Gaslighting their customers. Their proxies are fake. Chinese data center proxies sold as US residential proxies. And guess what? I did contact support, and I showed them proof that their IPs are trash. I shared screenshots from both ip2location and ipqualityscore, the most reliable IP checkers, they both flagged them as VPN from China. They told me this is irrelevant and refused to issue a refund. Everything they do is deceptive and shady. Want another proof? Go to their checkout flow and select Visa, and you will see that they are hiding who their processor is, no mention of Stripe or AirWallex or anything. Just a form that takes your card details, without you even knowing who is actually processing the transaction.

Don't buy from IPFoxy. they didn't replace proxies. You can choose smartproxy or webshare. IPFoxy customer service is very bad.

Their static residential IPs are of poor quality and very expensive. The static residential IP I purchased was banned by multiple website platforms. I contacted customer service for a refund or replacement of the IP, but they refused to replace or refund me, saying that there was no problem with the "IP". This is a dishonest service provider.
