Slightly Disappointed I recently received my iScooter iF1 and have been using it regularly. Overall, I'm really impressed with it. The build quality feels solid, it's comfortable to ride, and it... See more

Abysmal Experience - System Errors and Unprofessional Support
NEWLY UPDATED REVIEW -
Deceptive Website Structure & Appalling Build Quality – Rejecting Under Consumer Rights Act.
After digging deep into my invoice data, I realized that I had technically selected the M10 Black variant. However, this only happened because iScooter’s website structure is incredibly deceptive, misleading, and unprofessional. They cross-reference pictures of their premium, dual-suspension, 27.5-inch wheel M50 hybrid model directly inside the layout for cheaper, lower-spec models, tricking customers into believing they are buying a premium package specification.
Having reluctantly accepted that the website's terrible layout had misled me, I decided to open the box to inspect the machine. As a professional engineer, I am absolutely appalled by the build quality of what I came across.
This is clearly not a fresh factory unit. Right out of the box, the headlight mounting bolt was already completely cross-threaded, there are visible scratches all over the handlebars, and the front fork quick-release skewer supplied in the bag is physically too long for the fork dropouts, meaning it bottoms out on the threads and cannot clamp the wheel safely. To top it off, the "free" tyre pump and mudguards are of the absolute cheapest, lowest-grade quality imaginable.
I am formally rejecting this entire delivery and claiming a full refund under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods unfit for purpose and not of satisfactory quality). My Klarna dispute is fully active. Do not buy from this company unless you want a headache.
If I could give 0.5 stars I would.
At least one of us can admit we are wrong.
------------------------------------------
I ordered what was explicitly listed as an EB3S / M50 Electric Mountain Bike, but iScooter’s warehouse dispatched their cheaper, lower-spec M10 model to my house instead. Their internal inventory database clearly has a technical error where they have cross-linked premium titles with cheaper product codes, and the customer is the one suffering for it.Trying to get this sorted via their customer service phone line was completely unprofessional. The agent literally put me on hold mid-conversation without a single word of warning. To make matters worse, they openly lied to me on the phone, claiming they couldn't see my email address in their system. They only backed down and admitted they had my email after I pointed out the obvious fact that my order number is directly linked to it.They then claimed they hadn't received any of my email messages, despite the fact that I am using Outlook and have verified delivery receipts on my end. They have currently promised me compensation for this shambles, so we will see what actually happens. As it stands, I have a factory-sealed box for the wrong bike blocking my hallway and a blocked Klarna plan. Absolutely terrible service so far.

disappointing
disappointing! the ix5s iscooter looks the part and with 1000watt motor sounds the part, but in reality disappointed. very slow, struggles with minor up hill slopes dropping to 4mph, and overheating within a mile!
haven’t tried a bigger gradient but not holding out much hope.
don’t waste your money on this.
Shocking!
Ordered a scooter and there’s been nothing but issues with it since it’s been delivered. The company have been contact but they’re not replying. I also ordered a helmet for £89.99 and I’ve waited and waited for it to be delivered and today some kind of flat metal item has been delivered which looks to be some kind of table leg or something but it’s claiming to be the helmet.
Avoid this company at all costs!
Avoid iScooter
Avoid iScooter – very disappointing experience
I had a very disappointing experience with iScooter. The scooter developed problems, and getting the issue resolved has been stressful and time-consuming.
I had to return the scooter and even pay for the return postage myself. To make matters worse, I had to open a case with PayPal to try and get my refund resolved.
The whole experience has caused me a lot of stress and frustration. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from iScooter again and would advise others to carefully consider their options before buying.
I hope my review helps other customers make an informed decision.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
I would not buy a scooter from this company. Mine went wrong after about a day. They will not fix, but instead pressured me to try and sort the problem out myself. I’ve rung, emailed. Obviously not a legit company. Strongly advise against dealing with them.
Get your bike if you want to ride and have freedom
This is the best customer service that I have ever heard whilst buying a bike and the delivery is the fastest I’ve ever had. The feedback afterwards is excellent. I cannot complain about anything.

UPDATE 2026-08-23 – Credit where credit is due.
I want to add an important update to this review.
After the experience described below, my case was eventually taken over personally by Lilian, a Senior Customer Service Representative at iScooter.
From that point onwards, the experience changed considerably!
Lilian actually listened to what I was saying. She understood why I was frustrated, acknowledged the frankly ridiculous amount of testing and documentation I had already provided, and didn't treat me like another support ticket that needed another generic troubleshooting response.
Most importantly, her communication was consistently professional, personal and respectful. Honestly, this is someone I'd like to be working at any customer facing position to turn frowny customer to happy ones!
When something required further approval, she took ownership of it and escalated it herself. She kept me informed, gave clear timeframes, followed up as promised, and genuinely gave me the impression that she wanted to find a fair way to bring this very long saga to an end.
That deserves recognition.
My original review below remains unchanged because it accurately describes my experience with the iX5S and the support process leading up to that point.
But it would be equally unfair of me not to acknowledge when someone steps in and handles a difficult situation exceptionally well.
So, Lilian: BIG thank you.
You inherited a customer who was extremely frustrated with both the product and the process, and somehow managed to leave me with a much better final impression of iScooter's customer service.
Credit where credit is due — this is how customer service should be handled when things have already gone wrong.
Original review:
I bought an “off-road beast.” Apparently it needs a nap every kilometre...
There is something almost impressive about selling a scooter as a 1000W off-road machine, showing it conquering hills, and then producing something that becomes emotionally overwhelmed by a slight change in elevation.
Welcome to my iScooter iX5S experience.
On flat ground? Sure. It moves.
Show it a hill?
Things get interesting.
Speed starts disappearing.
20 km/h becomes 15.
Then 10.
Then 5.
On steeper sections I've genuinely had to start kicking with my foot to help my "1000W electric scooter" continue being an electric scooter.
Then comes my favourite feature:
"H"
"H" means the scooter has reached thermal protection. I know this because I've become far more familiar with that little letter than any customer should.
During one carefully documented 7.5 km ride, in cloudy 18–19°C weather, my iX5S overheated eight (8) times.
Not 80 km.
Not some brutal mountain trail.
7.5 km. On normal paved roads.
Three overheating events happened on the same street!
The scooter also repeatedly dropped below 10 km/h and sometimes below 5 km/h. It started fully charged and arrived showing 2 out of 5 battery bars.
At this point, I contacted support.
And this is where buying an electric scooter somehow turned into an unpaid engineering internship.
I've filmed the overheating.
Filmed the power loss.
Filmed the squeaking body parts.
Tested different modes.
Tested different speed limits.
Answered technical questions.
Mapped the entire route.
Mapped the failures.
Pulled elevation profiles.
Made them a presentation!!!
Then they wanted the throttle checked.
So I checked the throttle.
Then they explained that whenever H appears, I should stop riding and let the scooter cool for 30–60 minutes
Mine displayed H eight times, so according to that advice, my little 7.5 km journey could include somewhere between FOUR AND EIGHT HOURS OF COOLING BREAKS!?
At that point I'm not commuting.
I'm basically taking my scooter on a spa retreat.
After all this evidence, their latest question was whether I had taken it to a local repair shop.
No.
I bought a scooter. I didn't accidentally apply for a position in iScooter's R&D department.
I'm now trying to get it returned and refunded.
Maybe I received an unusually bad unit. That's always possible. But I can only review the product I received and the support I've experienced.
And based on that experience, I couldn't possibly recommend the iX5S.
If you're looking at one because €500 seems like a bargain for a powerful off-road scooter, I'd strongly suggest putting that €500 toward something better instead.
Because the iX5S certainly "looks" like an off-road beast.
Mine just forgot the "beast"-part.
Very poor customer service and…
Very poor customer service and misleading customers.
IX5S scooter
I bought this scooter so that I can walk my dog over the fields and footpaths around where I live (legs.aren't so good these days). It took a while to get used to handling it as i have never rode a scooter before.
It didn't take long, soon got the hang of it, climbs up hills just great. What fun I'm having now. Not sure the dog likes it as she getting left behind, so I have to stop and let her catch up.
