iTunes for Authors is a clown show...

Apple iTunes for Authors is a clown show run by clowns. You'd think that a company known for making computers would know how to create software that worked like almost every other company. But no. They say, "Publish your books through Apple iTunes." But when you try set up an account, it's a complete nightmare trying to validate, access and establish an account to do that. I've already created more than a dozen book titles through Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, so I thought it would be nice to establish an account with Apple Books. But what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you try to set up an account, the sign-in process traps you in a loop. Eventually when you find a workaround, the system then makes you set up a 2-step authentication process, then no longer recognizes the same password I've been using all along. Then when I find a workaround for that, they ask you set up a payment method, but then doesn't recognize the card info and tells me to contact Apple. Yeah, right? You mean there's a phone number to call for Apple support? Can you find one? How do these guys stay in business? I know. It's because they assume they're the only clown show in town. Too bad for us, though.

Trustpilot you need to be able to allow…

Trustpilot you need to be able to allow for a zero star as that would be the only star rating itunes deserves. I had ten years of films and music on my account. Then one day itunes decided to delete my account and there is no one you can email or talk to to find out why. Biggest con artist on the planet

Do NOT buy from iTunes

I bought an album from iTunes. It cannot be played or downloaded. I requested a refund twice and it was denied twice. I contacted support and they were unable to help me. Apple has stolen my money.

Apple say they are a big company when…

Apple say they are a big company when it comes to customer service they are suck in the stone ages I got a app off iTunes which I purchased an item from the app apple took the money from my account but the purchase didn’t come though, the app say for me to get a refund I have to make a claim thou iTunes so I put a claim in which takes 48 hours just for them to turn round say it’s ineligible for a refund but it didn’t say that before I purchased the item now I have to wait 3 weeks before I can raise it with my bank to contest the purchase. I have had an apple product for 6 years now this will be my last apple product when my current contact ends happy to take money off you but they go missing when they have to pay it back

Apple are as bad as the thieves that hacked the iTunes account

@apple you absolutely suck!!! You do not give a 💩 once you have the money. Daughter's iTunes account got hacked - someone in 🇨🇳 used up all her gift card credit buying games. U even sent an email flagging possible fraudulent activity but processed the payments anyway. Told u it was fraud as we live in the 🇬🇧! You said you'd refund but next day refused & not only that you disabled her account & won't reinstate it! Why anyone would buy any of your products with customer service like that!

Very poor customer service was charged…

Very poor customer service was charged for a year of service after a trial period and called 5 days after I found the charge. Apple took the subscription off my phone only to be told it could take up to 48’ for a refund. Checked with AE only to find “agreement” does not let you have a yearly refund for 5 days of unused service.
Next time I will by from a different company.

Reactivation to iTunes denied with no recourse

My iTunes account was disabled and the appeal to have it reactivated was denied with no explanation or recourse. Customer service is worthless and provides no compensation for losing hundreds of purchased songs. One would expect a large company like this to have some semblance of support, but it does not. Very sad.

Ordered a couple of things on Prime Video via my phone (so Itunes). Asked for a refund via Prime who agreed but then the actual refund was declined automatically by Itunes. No reason given and when phoned they couldn't reverse in their words 'as it's automated.' So no films and no money. More importantly no more purchases by me.

Itunes are robbers

I will be claiming all my money from the bank. These guys are rip offs. They take money off your card without permission. And tell you you are not eligible for a refund. I am going to get the latest iphone on contract and keep it and not pay them for compensation. Watch

iTunes should be permanently deleted!

iTunes is the most stressful and difficult program that I have ever used in my life. It’s always been bad since day one and has never improved since. For anyone feeling stressed like me, I would highly recommend using iMazing instead. It’s not free but it’s really worth the money as it does what it says on the tin and it only took me 5 minutes to transfer nearly 4000 songs to my phone from my laptop! It’s unbelievable !

ITunes / Apple Music Deactivated Years of Purchased Music

I have years and years of purchased music through I-Tunes / Apple Music, while I was away on holiday there was some sort of un-authorized access to my account that they sent me an email about and now they have deactivated my account, I have tried to have them re-activate it twice and their only reply is I no longer have access to my 15 year old account. I have 15 years of music purchased through I Tunes and there is no one willing to give me a straight answer or a reason why they will not re-activate my account. I have no access to the 100's of songs I purchased through them.

They have a class action lawsuit because of them doing this to other people.

"A new Class Action has been filed in the District Court for the Western District of New York, Buffalo Division, against Apple by Trenise McTyere and Lucille Clark for misleading consumers into believing it is selling them Digital Content on iTunes, even though it is only providing them with a license.

The complaint further notes that “when a licensing agreement terminates for whatever reason, Apple is required to pull the Digital Content from the consumers’ Purchased Folder and it does so without prior warning to the consumer […]

Rude, unsympathetic and unaccountable support

I needed an invoice and contacted support. I was told it was the wrong support channel and they'd put me through to the right one. They didn't, I was promptly ignored until finally, I got the below response.

Do better Apple. Follow through with what you say you will do and if a colleague falls below the expected standard, be a team player and share accountability. Fix the problem, don't pass off the blame.

Disappointing that a brand like Apple could put Hinner in a customer-facing role. I wouldn't be surprised if they've outsourced their support abroad.

'Thanks for contacting us. This is Hinner again from the Apple Care Email Advisor Team.

This case will be closed now as you keep contacting the wrong support channel. Future emails about this case will not be answered.'

Extremely Upset with Unauthorized Charges and Lack of Accountability

I am deeply upset and disappointed by my recent experience with Apple Inc. I discovered unauthorized charges on my bank account, totaling five deductions of ZAR164.99 each, allegedly linked to my iTunes subscription. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue through both my bank and Apple customer support, I have encountered nothing but frustration and dead ends.

What's even more concerning is that upon checking my transaction history on both my bank account and iTunes, there is absolutely no record of these payments or any corresponding transactions. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable, and it has left me feeling completely betrayed and financially burdened.

I demand a full refund for these unauthorized charges and a thorough investigation into how and why this occurred. My trust in Apple's payment system has been shattered, and unless this issue is promptly resolved, I will have no choice but to seek alternative services.

Overall, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I strongly advise others to exercise caution when dealing with Apple's payment systems.

Beware!!

Beware!!! You will be charged for subscriptions you never signed up for and when you dispute the charges, Apple support will tell you there is nothing they can do. So they can just steal your money without your permission and then say they can't even return it... a bunch of thiefs!!! Avoid Apple at all costs!!!
