An outstanding experience
An outstanding experience! Dukes Tutoring connected my son with an exceptional tutor for his Economics and Politics Personal Statement. Incredibly responsive and available when needed. We were extremely lucky to find her. Highly recommended!

Tailored service
Everyone we interacted with at Dukes Tutoring was friendly and helpful. Our son was at at Dukes school before we moved overseas and they found and excellent tutor to support him with the 11+ exams ahead of our return. The team took time to understand Arlo, his personality and needs. We were matched with an excellent tutor who creates engaging online sessions covering all aspects of the exam so Arlo is as familiar with the format as if he was still in his UK school.
Optimistic beginner
I am an older adult preparing for a move to Madrid. I speak no Spanish. Dukes connected me with Katherine with whom I have had 5 one hour lessons now. She is impeccably prepared, structured, patient, and encouraging. I feel very optimistic about my progress!
Great work with my child

Great tutors and service
Dukes provide a quick and efficient service, carefully matching tutoring needs. The tutors are extremely good, very supportive and provide instant feedback and support. It may be expensive but the quality of the tutors makes it worthwhile.
Very supportive and responsive
Very supportive and responsive. I have a good experience with the tutors selected by Dukes.
FIVE STARS for Duke's Tutoring!
We had a really positive experience with Duke’s Tutoring and their affiliated school Devonshire Prep.
A year ago our son was attending a French bilingual school and had large gaps in his maths knowledge, along with zero exposure to the reading comprehension, writing, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning expectations typical of top UK independent schools.
With Duke’s help, we put together a structured plan. He did an intensive summer “boot camp” programme and then spent just one term at Devonshire Prep (an affiliate school of theirs that they recommended) to do the final preparation for his 11+ exams.
We were so happy with the results! He received offers from 4 of the 8 schools he applied to — including Habs (where he’ll be starting next year), UCS, and Mill Hill.
What impressed me most was how knowledgeable Duke’s tutors are about the entire 11+ process. They clearly understand the roadmap and know how to efficiently help children close gaps quickly and build the skills these exams require.
We’re extremely grateful for their support and would happily recommend them to other families navigating the 11+ journey!
Outstanding Guidance for 11+ Success
I am the mother of a boy who challenged the 11+ exam after spending two years in the UK, and he received offers from all the schools he applied to. This was possible thanks to the careful, thoughtful, and dedicated support he received from Mrs Virtie and Mr Ganyon.
I would like to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks for all the support you provided throughout his journey. Without you, this would not have been possible. We are truly grateful that we were able to find such trustworthy and supportive mentors.
As this was his first challenge and we had very little knowledge about the exam process, being able to consult with people we could trust and receive professional advice made a tremendous difference for us. Thank you so much for everything.
This is a stellar agency with first…
This is a stellar agency with first class tutors who are highly vetted. The support team are always helpful and responsive.
My son is now very focused on his A level Philosophy and is being taught to think around the subject and structure his essays in a far more critical and considered way.
As a parent, I cannot recommend Dukes more highly.
It is a very good Institute
It is a very good Institute, we strongly recommend.
An excellent agency which provides first class tutoring and support
An excellent agency which provided a first class Chemistry tutor for my twins to support them through their A levels . Ian kept in communication with me throughout the process and gave very helpful feedback at regular intervals. I could tell he was really passionate about his subject and cared about helping them do their very best . Highly recommended

Tutoring industry gold-standard
Having worked with Dukes Tutoring (formerly JK) for around 9 months now, I have nothing but positive experience to draw on. The team who are responsible for matching are superb, attentive, proactive, and supremely organised (in particular Sasha and Ruby). Head of Secondary Provision (Leanne) is extremely professional, kind, and always happy to help and offer time for feedback and support. The whole team should be praised for positive attitude, enthusiastic communication, and confidence in my abilities as a tutor.
TutorCruncher platform is seamless and user-friendly.
Having worked with many tutoring companies for years, it has been a joy to work with Dukes and I hope they continue to grow their platform which provides excellent support to both clients and employees.

Dukes Tutoring is a great agency to work for.
I have worked as a Tutor through Dukes Tutoring (started working with JK Educate which was taken into the Dukes group) for 3 years now and only had positive experiences. The administration of matching me with new tutees is well-organised and the support offered by my mentor is very helpful in understanding how I can best support my students. The expectations of me as a tutor are high, but that is as it should be. The Dukes online platform for delivering online lessons (all my lessons are delivery this way) is so easy to use and means I can focus on delivering the best lesson possible rather than worrying if the IT will work. Overall working with Dukes is a very professional and enjoyable experience.

Working with Dukes Tutoring
I am a tutor that works with Dukes Tutoring. They are great to work with and I have always found them to be friendly, helpful, supportive and communicative. As a tutor, if Dukes Tutoring recommend me to a student, I know that they have put in the time & effort to ensure that there is a good fit and a large majority of the students I have obtained through their recommendations have turned into long term assignments. Their admin system (Tutorcruncher) also ensures that lessons can be logged easily, invoices issued efficiently and payments made on time every time. In the nearly three years I have been working with the Dukes Tutoring team, I have had nothing but good experiences and I would recommend them heartily to any tutor.

Great People To Work With
As a private tutor, I have often had clients through Dukes Tutoring. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable, kind and extremely professional. Dukes take a lot of care to place students with the right sort of tutors and I have always felt supported by them.

An unmatched fully bespoke education
J K Educate irrefutably turned our son's A level education and probably his future around. The set up is unbelievably bespoke, efficient, focused and kind, sourcing and matching first class, highly conscientious and caring tutors in Pete and Steven and overseen weekly with a slick and thorough pastoral check in with Leanne. Our only regret is that we did not discover the team sooner. The world really is your child's oyster with the JK Educate team.

I’ve just finished reading an article…
The article "What’s the Difference Between State School Versus Private School?" by Dukes Tutoring is a smug, patronising exercise in middle-class self-congratulation masquerading as educational insight. It reads less like an informative comparison and more like a thinly veiled advert for private education, riddled with sweeping generalisations and conspicuously lacking in facts.
Let’s start with the absurd claim that extracurricular activities in state schools are “few and far between.” That alone reveals the writer’s total ignorance—or wilful disregard—for the reality of the state sector. Many state schools offer rich, varied, and often award-winning extracurricular programmes, all while juggling funding cuts and growing class sizes. Unlike private schools, they do this without charging £20,000+ per year.
The article also makes a hollow point about private schools being able to tailor their curriculum. Yes, they have flexibility, but in reality, most still follow the same exam boards, sit the same GCSEs and A-Levels, and teach the same core content. The “curriculum freedom” line is a tired trope designed to imply superiority without actually saying anything of substance.
What’s most infuriating is the tone: patronising, reductive, and dripping with snobbery. There is not a single piece of statistical evidence, research reference, or balanced viewpoint. It’s pure anecdote and bias, painting state schools as under-resourced wastelands and private schools as the holy grail of education.
In short: this article is a disgrace. It insults the professionalism of state school teachers, dismisses the achievements of millions of students, and reinforces tired elitist narratives that do nothing to improve education for anyone. If you’re looking for facts, nuance, or fairness—look elsewhere. This is propaganda dressed as advice.
