The UKs leading Adult Tricycle Brand. Jorvik Tricycles is born out of love. When James Walker’s father, Stuart, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a tricycle was the best option for him to continue cycling. However, the market was limited, and the choices that did exist were outdated and expensive. The first ever Jorvik Tricycles trike was built to help James’ dad continue doing what he loves and so that mission continues – now focusing on supporting other people and their families who are looking for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing and affordable tricycle to help them keep their independence.

I’d liked the idea of a trike for a while. I was up in York, so popped into their showroom on spec and ended up testing and purchasing a trike. Managed to get a good deal on the outgoing model. Delivered promptly and it took about an hour to complete assembly. It is quite a steep learning curve moving to a trike, so be prepared to go slow at first. Learning to handle cambers in the road and how to corner is tricky, but after 25 miles I’m getting the hang of it. All the little shopping trips I used to do by car I now do by trike and with the rear basket, no need for a backpack. Enjoying myself and getting some much needed exercise.
Friendly helpful staff.
Large airy showroom with a very good test-track
Jorge made me so welcome and did everything possible to allow me to ride a trike. Unfortunately the MS weakness in my right leg prohibited that at the moment. I’m determined that with some specialist physio I can build up my strength.
I would recommend JORVIK WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
My experience began when I went on to the website to look at tricycles. I found the website very easy to negotiate and was able to choose the model I wanted. However, due to a problem at my end I was not able to complete the ordering process so I rang the company for help. The young lady I spoke to managed to sort out my problem very quickly and my order was completed very easily. The trike was delivered very quickly and was very easy to finish constructing. I was able to ride on it the same day and am delighted with it.
All in all the whole process was extremely pleasant, the staff I spoke to on the telephone, the delivery and the completed trike were all first class. If I ever need another trike, I know where I will come back to and I would certainly recommend them to anyone else looking to purchase a trike

Matt helped out with both a little bit of discount and some spare inner tubes. Sam has subsequently helped out with tech information and spare parts. My twin battery 13-2 250w machine is beautifully engineered and very robust and the 7 speed hub gears are brilliant. I have no problem with hill climbing and getting a good speed on the flat. Quite different to two wheels, but it keeps me cycling with a group. What's not to like. Love it!

Went as a "walk-in", with a friend. I had been looking at the Jorvick Trikes on-line for a while, however, wanted to know how they physically handled, the ease of use, size, etc. in short the overall "feel", and I couldn't do that looking at a web page, nothing wrong with the web pages, their descriptions, etc are great. I am just fussy, and it had to be a "hands-on" experience. We went from Manchester to Chester, to the then, newly opened Chester showroom (It had been open for a week), as we were originally planning to go to the York showroom, however, the Chester showroom opened the week we were discussing it, so it made things simple, Chester it was. All the Trikes were on display, ready to ride, a simple roadway was painted on the floor, and they were still setting up, no racks for other equipment were yet, up on the walls, fair enough, just opened and still setting up, as there were tool boxes, etc opened, at the side of the building, being a retired Logistics Manager no problem at all with that, I know it takes time and planning, especially when you start with an empty shell of a building and the painting of the floor roadways must have days to paint and dry out, ready to use (in fact, I quickly borrowed a tape measure from the staff toolbox, to make sure the back wheels of the Rida-X, would fit through my back gate). The staff were very friendly, I had a specific model in mind (Rida-X)when going to Chester, as we live in a semi-rural area and have Bridleways, country paths and lanes locally, so wanted a little, but not serious off-road capability. The staff, when we turned up, were actually waiting for someone else with an appointment, however as "walk-ins" they fitted us in too, which was very much appreciated. I liked the Rida-X for myself, then having being physically sat on one, and my friend saw the big grin on my face, going around the indoor track, as I was mobile again, under my own steam for the first time in years. So much so, she also took the plunge, and bought herself, a smaller Vandra-X, as she mainly sticks to local paved roadways and didn't want a trike, the size of the Rida-X, she thought it too big for her. I am very happy with my Trike, as she with her Vandra-X and as a bonus to go along with my Rida-X, I also bought a trailer, for carrying wood for my wood burning stove, going camping locally, to put the tent and other kit in and keep it all secure.
Delivery was great, no problem at all, fully informed all the way from the warehouse to the pavement outside my home, by watching the on-line parcel tracker and then a phone call the morning of the our delivery of both trikes. Can't fault the whole process. Very easy from the first ride in the showroom to delivery and set up of our own trikes. 2 very happy Bunnies, as it were.

Visted the new Chester showroom. It was rather hard to find initially, but after being guided in I found the Chester Jorvik showroom. Make sure you you read the signs for Central trading estate as there are quite a few close by.
James was very helpful, eventhough I arrived without an appointment I was offered a Test drive. This was extremely helpful and the added information given made my mind up that these were the Tricycles I wanted. All I need to do is decide which one.
There was no heavy sell or pressure applied, which made it an enjoyable experience. Will be in touch soon James.

From the day I visited the showroom in Chester to going for a proper road ride today, I can honestly say I'm 100% impressed and overjoyed I can cycle again, when I thought my days were over. Somehow my legs have changed, wobble being the most noticeable and as such I couldn't maintain balance on my hybrid, I've fallen off it three times before reading up on the Jorvik trikes. Thank you for being kind in the showroom, allowing me to test ride in Chester, and your patience. You can't go wrong with these people, second to none. I'm back riding in the countryside again, wind in my hair, sun on my face and the smell and sound of nature! Love it!

Booked an appointment to try a tricycle and had great service from Terry. He was very patient and helped my partner feel safe and confident on the bike in no time at all. Impressed with the test track and lack of sales pressure. Thanks again for all your help.

My visit to York really helped
me to choose my trike. I still find road cambers a bit challenging, but getting easier. The only problem is the battery charge lights only show 75% when charged. The display percentage charge is more accurate though. Thank you
very much for my most helpful visit.

It was a pleasure to come to the Chester Branch.
Jorge was very helpful, only called to see the set up, but purchased 2 x new tricycles.
My wife loves the 3 wheeler, and the improvements since the last purchase 5 years ago.
Now more comfortable and with REVERSE.
Thank you Jorvik.

A Fantastic Experience – Thank You Terry and Jorvik!
Travelling to Southampton, I really didn't know what to expect. I had never ridden a tricycle before and was amazed at just how different it felt compared with riding a bicycle. To be honest, I was terrified and incredibly nervous during my first attempts!
What made all the difference was Terry, my trainer. He gave me as much time as I needed and had the patience to help me build my confidence step by step. He seemed to know exactly when to step in and reassure me, and when to stand back and let me discover things for myself. That balance was invaluable, and I can't thank him enough. Receiving a fully assembled trike was an unexpected bonus and meant I could start enjoying it straight away.
Following Terry's advice, I chose the Vandra X, and I now know it was exactly the right choice for me. It took a little while to understand how all the controls and features worked, but once everything clicked into place, I found myself thoroughly enjoying every ride. The pedal assist is excellent, making cycling much easier on longer journeys or hills, and the rear carrier is ideal for shopping and everyday use.
Buying this trike has been one of the best decisions I've made. It gives me freedom, gentle exercise, and is far kinder on my knees than I expected. The battery has also impressed me with how long it lasts when properly looked after.
I've already had several people stop to admire the trike and ask questions about it, which shows just how much interest there is. I would happily recommend one to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable and practical way to get around.
My one piece of advice to new riders is this: don't give up after the first few attempts. Riding a trike is very different from riding a bicycle, and it can feel strange—even frightening—at first. I now understand why some people give up too soon. Stick with it, practise regularly, and before long your confidence will grow. Once it does, you'll discover just how enjoyable, practical and rewarding a trike can be.
A huge thank you to Terry for his professionalism, patience and encouragement, and to everyone at Jorvik for making the whole experience such a positive one. I couldn't be happier with my Vandra X.

I was really impressed with Yorvik.
I got squeezed in last minute for a trial at the Yorkshire showroom. I was recommended them and was only an hour or so drive away at the time on holiday.
The showroom has a lovely track to try out whichever trikes would suit you. The first thing was a sit down and a chat to find what trike(s) might suit you best and then a chance to have a go starting with no peddle assist.
I felt no pressure to buy and we were even able to see if the one I wanted would fit in the boot of our car. Sadly for me it doesn't but we have a saloon style boot but if we had a hatch back it would be fine.
The lead time was explained to me so knew what to expect.
The trike arrived well packaged with not very much left to do putting together.
I was unsure of a couple things to do with the computer bit as had forgotten in the mean time. I gave them a quick call and was out finishing setting up quickly.
I'm still not out on main roads with it but enjoying going round the local carpark in the evenings.
It's solid, comfy and feels secure. I was only used to recumbent exercise bikes rarely in the last 30 or so years and was never comfy cycling on the road after an accident not long after learning so am giving myself time. To get used to it, the brakes are really strong and I have never learned to drive either so steering was strange to start with. The mini lesson in the showroom was really helpful though and once I got over my initial panic started settling in.
Well worth the cost for the quality

The website enabled me to do the research I wanted before purchase with just a couple of questions left in my mind concerning which of the two models I was interested in would best suit my needs. These questions were fully explained and answered when I telephoned. I ordered on the telephone and the lady was very helpful, again explaining the process and delivery times clearly.
The tricycle took time to put together once delivered but was not hard to do,
I first rode it in our village hall car park.
It felt very different to the bicycle I had previously used, but diffrent in a good way. I certainly appreciate the stability and brakes. I am still getting used to the combination of power level and gears .
I have done about seventy miles on it now and am very pleased with it.
My usual ride is about seven miles.
Overall, very pleased with everything and confident I have a sturdy, well made machine that should last me for many miles.
Yes, I could have got something cheaper from the Internet but I seriously doubt it would have been anywhere near as good, and from what I've researched, possibly even dangerous and illegal.
Safety, reliability and a good service are important to me, and this company/tricycle certainly satisfies on those points.
