Klick Lewis Review: UNTRUSTWORTHY, AVOID
UNTRUSTWORTHY. The overall experience with Klick Lewis of Palmyra, PA lacked transparency, follow-through, and displayed incompetence. They did everything possible to erode trust earned which is the opposite of their motto.
I inquired about a high-mileage 2015 Mercedes that had a decent service history but maintenance gaps nonetheless. Shane Robb was the point of contact who claimed a baseline $3,000 investment into pre-owned vehicles and a 172-point inspection. He was initially communicative but that soon waned. The service team ONLY replaced rear pads & rotors with an oil change; it's far from $3K. $350 in parts. The first of many red flags.
A FaceTime with the sales manager (Fran Lafferty) disclosed (1) windshield chips (not good), (2) worn interior armrest, and (3) curb rash on the wheels. The tech could not recall the brand of rear rotors and pads used. This raised suspicions.
Shane Robb offered to confirm the parts replaced but never followed up. Regarding the maintenance gaps on plugs and transmission, he stated, "Okay, and if Mercedes can provide records in their system that confirms that the items in question are okay by their standards, we would be moving in the right direction?" I agreed but never heard back on EITHER of these concerns.
Out of caution, I contacted Mercedes in Lancaster, who inspected the car in Feb 2024. The service manager, Ryan, informed me that they identified a front cam leak (small) and a suspension noise. I presented this info to Mr. Robb, who dismissed it and said "this is not the car for you."
Overall, the experience was below reasonable expectations. The dealership showed no desire to find a solution. The review will remain unless Klick Lewis can "earn my trust" which is an empty slogan.
Sept 18: After several assurances by Fran Lafferty that we would speak and come to an a fair resolution, he never followed through. ZERO LEADERSHIP. ZERO INTEGRITY.
Save yourself the time and headache from dealing with deceptive sales people and an incompetent service dept. They can't be trusted and I will consider this a blessing in disguise.
