When I first reached out to Latimer Tuition, I was expecting slow responses as I had been getting for a while from other Tuition companies, however Robins replies were extremely fast and communication was great. Robin offered a price that made it affordable for my mum and we have been with Latimer Tuition for a few months now. I have been getting tutored by Samuel in maths and he has definitely helped me do some of the harder topics. I am now trying to achieve a 7 or 8 in the GCSE. Samuel is friendly and we occasionally have a small chat about other things so he definitely feels like a friend too. Thank you Robin and Samuel

My daughter is taking Maths A levels lessons from Samuel Omojola Damilare. He is passionate about teaching and his teaching style is very effective. My daughter has improved her maths grades significantly and enjoys the lessons. He pushes his student to achieve to the highest grades as well as makes the subject interesting and engaging. He makes an effort to finish a topic even if we run out of time by communicating through other means after the sessions. I would highly recommend him for Maths.

I’ve been getting help for maths GCSEs with Samuel, the patience he has and the ability to do maths so easily gives me the confidence to actually apply myself, I’ve found maths so hard, for however long I can remember and now I’m sitting on a C in mock exams and I’m honestly so happy about that. I really appreciate Samuel so much and I feel like I’ve gotten a friend out of this, which is amazing also. Who knows what’s the future holds but I think I’ll be confident that I’ll come out with my C I need apply for uni! Thanks again :) you can do anything you put your mind too.

All my correspondence with Yousuf has been great, he is extremely flexible, personable and a great communicator.

Honestly my daughter has come on leaps and bounds with the support of her tutor Rifna. For someone who was not confident in maths and feel and see this grow. I feel this has made a big difference to my daughter she comes out of tutor lessons smiling and saying I can do this. I am so glad we came across Latimer Tuition. It honestly would recommend and the support of tutor Rifna has been fantastic, it is great to see my daughter have confidence in this subject.

We have been using Latimer for a couple of years now for both English and Maths. Both the tutors Ollie and Daniel have been absolutely fantastic with our son and we have seen a huge improvement in his work. We are now looking to include science tution too. I would 100% recommend Latimer to help you find a suitable tutor.

Started off good. Prompt reply and a tutor that ‘matched’ what I was looking for was found. The price was negotiated and I was happy to start.
The first session didn’t start at the arranged time and wasn’t on teams which is what I expected from the information given. When the first session did start it went well and my son felt it was helpful. I remained in the room and did wonder whether the tutor had experience with SEN as the language and methods used by the tutor didn’t seem to be put in a way my son would understand. An initial chat with my son before tuition started could have solved this and was suggested by myself but was declined by the tutor.
My son had 4 more sessions afterwards which I was in and out of the room for. I observed a comment which I felt was inappropriate during a maths session in which trigonometry was being taught, “Can you really not see that is the longest side?”, this knocked his confidence and I felt was very condescending. The tutor was unresponsive on several occasions, even laughing at one point leading me to believe he was doing something else whilst I was paying for him to tutor my son. None of the sessions were planned out or summarised in any way which is essential to my son’s needs for routine.
The final straw was the tutors decision to teach biology. I had very clearly said that I did not want any science tuition until the start of May as I had arranged 2 hours per week locally. The response was that my son had allegedly asked for biology. I was shocked at the unprofessional behaviour of both Robin and the tutor. Robin claims that legally he cannot control how/whether tuition is carried out. He has no issue trying to charge you for it though!
Overall be very careful. I would imagine most of the tutors do what they are paid to do and tutor in the subjects they are asked to and (hopefully) have experience with any additional needs the person being tutored has. But I wouldn’t recommend using Latimer given the poor experience I had, especially if the person being tutored has additional needs.

Best maths tutor Smriti
My son worked with Smriti from Latimer Tuition to prepare for his GCSE exams, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results. Smriti is an exceptional tutor who combines her deep knowledge of mathematics with a teaching style that is both engaging and accessible.

She was always well-prepared and tailored her lessons to focus on the areas where my son needed the most help. Her patience and encouragement boosted his confidence, and she ensured that he thoroughly understood each concept before moving on.

My daughter has been working with Oliver to support her progress in A level maths and the difference in her in terms of confidence has been incredible. Oliver is excellent at putting her at ease and breaking topics down into manageable steps to support her. We have seen a big improvement in her grades and she loves her sessions. Thanks also to Robin who has made the whole process so easy. Totally recommend.

This experience was great, I had Tia as a tutor for maths and she was incredible. She made me feel comfortable when asking questions and was kind, she also pushed me to do my best and helped me understand many things I couldn’t.

I have been very impressed with 'Latimer Tuition' and in particular the tutor we were assigned. My daughter was predicted a grade 3 in her mocks so we knew we had to get her support in this area. From my first contact with Robin @Latimer Tuition everything went smoothly and professionally. We were sent the names of suitable tutors and then had a free 15min consultation. My daughter felt comfortable and connected straight away with her tutor Neha. She began her weekly tuition which was very competitively priced @£25 per hour compared to others I had looked at. Neha was always organised with her lessons packing the most into the hour with past papers, follow up on areas of difficulty and setting homework for the following week. She kept my daughter engaged at all times with a variety of teaching styles. The lessons were online which suited perfectly as it cut out travelling time. Neha prepared a short informative report at the end of each lesson, stating what she had covered and the focus for the next lesson. I'm thrilled to say that my daughter achieved a grade 5 in her GCSE maths and without a doubt this was down to the extra weekly tuition she received. As a teacher myself (primary) I know how hard it is to engage with students and get the desired results. Therefore, I would and have highly recommended Latimer tuition and will certainly use them again in the future when my son reaches Yr11.

Our GCSE Maths tutor Smitri Rathi was very helpful and well organized. She provided plenty of practice examples of problem solving and clearly explained key principles.

I had a maths tutor called Smriti and she helped me achieve higher grades in my gcse maths. Smriti was so understanding and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
