I very rarely leave a 1 star review, but the way this order has been handled from beginning to end has been completely unacceptable.

We paid £619 for a 7ft pool table including delivery. It was supposed to arrive on 7 August. My husband took annual leave specifically to be home for it.

It never arrived.

We then spent the entire weekend receiving conflicting information about where our table was and when it would actually be delivered. We were told about a broken-down van, told they were supposedly in Aberdeen, then received messages about another van travelling from Kent. We were told Saturday, then Sunday, then Monday.

The table eventually arrived on 10 August, three days late, literally as I was leaving for work, making me late.

After all of that, we opened the packaging to discover THE TABLE WAS DAMAGED.

I reported the damage immediately and supplied photographic evidence.

What followed was frankly shocking customer service.

I sent a formal complaint to the person I had originally been dealing with and received NO RESPONSE. I eventually had to forward the entire complaint to Customer Services just to get somebody to deal with it.

The Customer Service Manager, eventually responded on 19 August, apologised for the lack of communication and confirmed that the damaged table would be collected and a full refund issued.

We were told collection would take 3 to 10 working days.

That deadline came and went.

For weeks we had a huge damaged 7ft pool table boxed up in our dining room while the courier tracking simply continued to say the collection date was “TBC”.

Once again, I had to do the chasing.

The table was FINALLY collected on 10 September, an entire month after it had arrived damaged.

You would think that would finally be the end of it.

It wasn’t.

Despite being told that our full £619 refund would be processed following collection, we have again been left chasing Liberty Games for our money.

This has now dragged on for well over FIVE WEEKS.

A failed delivery is unfortunate.

A product arriving damaged can happen.

But failing to communicate, ignoring a formal complaint, missing the stated collection timeframe, leaving a customer to store a huge damaged product for weeks and then still requiring them to chase for their refund is not an unfortunate delivery issue. It is dreadful after-sales service.

The most frustrating part has been that I have had to push this forward at virtually every stage. Had I not repeatedly emailed, escalated and chased, I genuinely don’t know how long this would have continued.

I have now reached the point of preparing a Section 75 claim through my credit card provider because I should not have to continually chase a company to return £619 for damaged goods they have already collected.

I have retained the full email chain, photographs, courier messages, tracking history and collection information documenting the entire experience.

For a company selling expensive games-room equipment, I expected vastly better.

Based entirely on my experience of how things were handled when something went wrong, I could not recommend Liberty Games.

I found Liberty Games online and after reading their reviews online decided to purchase my pool table from them.

Everything was clear and upfront, the pricing is competitive and the service is excellent.

The staff I dealt with were both professional and knowledgeable. Any query I had was answered fully and promptly.

This was my first large purchase in this industry and obviously it is with a little trepidation to order from companies you don’t know.

The products themselves are also of excellent quality.

I would highly recommend this company.

We ordered a pool table for our clubroom, the website was very easy to use. The prices are very competitive. The order was on time and easy to arrange, the men who delivered it were very helpful. I paid for it to be put together as it is heavy, they only took 30 mins. The quality is excellent and look very good. We had the one with the table top and looks excellent, it is a useful table for social events. I would highly recommend the company and their products.

Found the most competitively priced pool table on this website, the website provided all the information required for me to confidently place an order. I received confirmation straight away and the courier team provided regular updates. I ordered 8pm on a Wednesday and it arrived Friday afternoon (though I do live close to their store). The table is great (6' pool and table tennis table) and the reviews on the website share the same sentiments as me. Great product, great price, great customer service and overall extremely trustworthy and transparent.

I used Liberty Games after searching for a dinner/pool table for a community hall. The whole process, from ordering online to installation, was seamless. I even had to call to change the size from 6ft to 7ft even after ordering; they accommodated me exceptionally. The quality was excellent, and the only thing I wished I had purchased was the removal of the packaging, so I would recommend purchasing this at the same time. Would highly recommend Liberty Games. Just wish I had the space to order myself one!!!

I bought a 5foot football table from Liberty games , delivery was brilliant we were kept updated. The table is fantastic it’s really sturdy and was such good value for money . Hopefully we will have lots of good times playing with friends and our grandchildren.

I bought an arcade machine from Liberty Games about 3 years ago and it stopped working last month. I got in contact with them and received a prompt reply, advice on what the issue probably was and I was able to buy the part I needed from them. The part ended up being faulty (factory fault, nothing to do with Liberty) but Liberty still investigated, found the issue and replaced the new faulty part with another one. Really excellent service and so pleased to be playing the machine again. Thanks!

i always wanted a jukebox , i found liberty games on the web and gave them a call to find out further information on the jukebox i liked. the sales person was very informative and answered my questions in a friendly and informative way , i ordered my jukebox and it was delivered on the date i choose , the two delivery guys were polite , helpful , informed me how to unpack it and left leaving no mess at all ,great service. i have since unpacked it set it up which was quite easy . and am now enjoying my purchase . well pleased.

Quick despatch, excellent quality, great seller communication. You pay for what you get, yes there are cheaper models but I doubt you will get the quality. It was bought for when the grandchildren come to visit. They and us oldies had a great time together with lots of tournaments. It will be a firm favourite for when we have family gatherings. Thank you.
