3 year guarantee is swimming upstream to have Lidl resolve it

I do love the Lidl and the foods they offer as well as some of the high quality lower priced goods. The reason I gave Lidl a 1 rating is because even though it has been rare, when I do try to contact Lidl with a low quality product that keeps breaking or is not working before the 3 years, a customer has to jump through many, many hoops to get it resolved. Nice to say 3 years but not so nice to make the customer spend weeks interfacing with Lidl to resolve a 3 year guarantee issue. I even supplied them with the receipts, pictures of the defects, and that I still have the box the product came in when purchased! It really irritates me to no end that it is all talk and very little action to resolve a 3 year guarantee on a product. When klantenservice responds to your emails, they do not include the chain of emails going back and forth. Every response is stand alone so good luck tracking the entire chain of emails and holding them accountable. They also tried to send me to their business partner klanten service to resolve the issue but I didn't buy it from their business partner I bought it from the Lidl. So I challenged it and then they sent me to their quality department. Ridiculous!

The meat is not of a good quality

The meat is not of a good quality. You have to cut off almost a third of the ribeye steak as it has so much silver skin, sinew and fat. Furthermore, there are small pieces if bone in the steak. Tasteless rubbish. No wonder we were warned not to buy meat from Lidl. We will not be back.

Ignoring customers

Steelstofzuiger was broken. It was sent for repair under guarantee and was returned 5 weeks later with no report. After enquiring several times I heard they couldn't find the problem. Then it stopped charging so I contacted lidl again. I did not get an email from their service partner as promised so contacted lidl several times. This involved emails that were ignored and a lot of time waiting to get enough to customer service on the phone. I was told time and time again that I had to wait. They connected me to a very unfriendly dude at the service center who said he would send me a new battery. That also did not happen. Further emails and phone calls later and I was told that the battery will be here around week 34 of 35. The repair was reported in week 27! The service centre called after yet another email to lidl and they said they would also send a new charger as that might fix the problem. Guess what? No charger. So the estimated time of repair (if it is indeed the battery) is at least 7 weeks. As someone with allergies, not vacuuming is not possible so I had to buy another vacuum cleaner. Emails ignored and repairs taking ridiculous times are things that are not acceptable. Telling customer to wait longer is also not acceptable. Lidl customer service used to be fantastic but is not extremely poor.

A bunch of idiots

A bunch of idiots, I order the goods for delivery on August 1st and they deliver them the next day again when no one is home, there are no words, idiot on idiot.

Terrible customer service

Ordered via online shop and expected delivery. DHL discovered the package was damaged so have returned it to sender, all good so far. But then waiting for LIDL.nl to answer when they will send a replacement item, I will get an answer on that within 4 days. They will have been informed by DHL that the item is being returned so why have they not sent a replacement out immediately?? Really poor customer service

Unsafe digital water kettle from Lidl in NL but they don’t take care of the reported complaint!

I have purchased digital water kettle in 2023 and got broken from the handle. I purchased another one in 2024 because I like the model and style but it also got broken from the same plastic piece on the handle in much less than a year of use. This time I contacted Lidl Customer care and reported the situation with reference number 112887543 with photos of the broken piece/incident. They contacted me saying they fwded my complaint to their technical department and that they will contact me within 12 days. It will be almost a month in a couple of days, I sent 2 reminders but nobody takes care…
This product is NOT safe!! It’s a water boiler and gets broken on the handle which may cause serious injuries. Lidl, you have to take care of the Safety issues of your products!!!

The package got lost and it's impossible to get in contact with them. On a phone only bots answer, like 0 ways to contact a person...

After writing a request to investigate team provided the solution very quickly, new package was sent.

Lidl NL order and DHL delivery the…

Lidl NL order and DHL delivery the worst combination. The only certainty is the value of the parcel. Otherwise, you don't know when you will receive the package or if you will receive it. In my case, the success rate (receiving the package in a timely manner) is below 30%.

On friday

On friday, after a week of 0 information and about a Lost package finally they send me confirmation of purchasing another one. But they didn’t send it, why bother. Propably it will take another month. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WHOLE INTERNET.

Good basic place.

Lidl is a budget supermarket with really decent products. It’s a self service place and not a luxury premium place so just buy your stuff and that’s all. It is definitely better than Albert Hein and all other supermarkets in The Netherlands.

I told her that I dont work here, and she should know the products. Came the security man and told me im not polite. And I was! And that im not alowed to shop there . Really?!

Only groceries in Lidl - the rest buy somewhere else

1. They want to send the product to a wrong addresses (order number 3355632592) and nobody even responds for my request to change it. 2. I submitted a complaint that my air fryer broke down. I've been waiting for 5 days already and nobody responds to the correspondence (88389343). Is it Lidl or Lidl Scam? 3. The expected delivery is very long. I ordered on 6th and the delivery in the best case will be on 11th.

Let's just say it's definitely my last time buying any other thing than daily groceries from Lidl. It's utterly unreliable and outdated business. In the time of e-commerce and free deliveries you pay 5 EUR, your product is sent to a wrong address and nobody responds to you for days.

(Actually even groceries are risky. They charge you for 1 kg of meat and give 900-950g). Then they say the law allows it but don't want to make it precise what kind of law (Referentienummer: 88169013)

Edit: they sent me a message concerning only one of the three issues I raised. On top of that, they said I should contact the air fryer's producer rather than Lidl. It's ridiculous.

Don't count on guarantee, they simply ignore

What a shame, sometimes I like their products. Unfortunately when they need to stand behind the guarantee offered - the process is sooo complex, and at some point they just go silent. No rejection, no follow up, go chase them for a 7 EUR product 🥴. Lesson learned, don't by end user product from Lidl no matter how much they cost.

Seriously is this a joke?

Seriously is this a joke?

I contacted the customer service on Jan 6th for a faulty bike (second time in 6 months).

I have still no answer even though I sent daily reminders to their team on Messenger. That team always says someone will contact me but no one ever did.

I already complained here and I was told to send an email which also never got an email.

Please don't waste your money and avoid Lidl.
