While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

This company quoted us for fitting a double sliding internal door.

This company quoted us for fitting a double sliding door (internally). Having been to measure up (twice) and having been asked by both myself and my wife ON BOTH OCCASSIONS, what the opening width would be, it was indicated and measured by both myself and my wife. Suddenly, they inform us that the door opening would only be 46cm wide!! You couldn't carry a food tray through that width!
The door frame width is 145cm before the install, how is this reduced to just A 46cm open width to walk through?? Then the company director Chris Vincent, emails us to state that the door width would only be 46cm wide, do we still wish to progress with the order? Obviously at this point I inform them 'no', it isn't practical to have a door opening width of that size. He has been refusing to respond to my emails, refused to call me despite my emailing him asking for a phone call to explain this. I've called his office a couple of times and he's never available. Now they have sent me an invoice for £200 to pay for the survey!! I'll see them in court, as I am not paying this when the company have had many chances to tell me that their door would only open wide enough to squeeze a child through. I WOULD DEFINITELY AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
Udated 17th Nov 25. This company is still chasing me for a £200 payment for their 2nd survey, despite during both visits, we asked the question for them to confirm the exact 'walk through' door width. I reply to every single email, stating that as the door width of 46 cm was never made clear to me, I am not paying them. This is a clear fault of the company and as such, I will take them to a small claims court rather than pay this £200 survey fee!

Personally, I wouldn't use again

This is the same Lifestyle who has sent me a "flier" today inviting me to have my conservatory roof upgraded. This is the same Lifestyle who I personally visited two years ago to have the leaking roof repaired. "Six weeks before our fitter can come out as we are very busy at the moment" I was informed. They never came!
So, when touting for business, always remember the customer is your best friend......
