Lindy is a rip off
Lindy is a rip off. You pay for it to make letters, send emails and to perform some basic secretarial issues. The problem was that Lindy frequently hallucinates and gives you products that are not in the format you requested so you pay to have the searches done over. The staff simply tells you that Lindy is incapable of performing certain tasks but does so. The support team promises you they will reimburse or give more credit to make up for the time but they do not. Then when you are down to 20% of time left, they block your chat history so you cannot obtain work paid for, and stored right there unless you give them more money. This is a rip off. Lindy does not function the way you asked to. The biggest problem was with halucinations and constantly getting work I did not ask for. It thinks unilaterally at times and you have to beg it to do what you do. I would not recommend it to anyone. I wasted half my time on it being lost in space. A RIP OFF!!!!!
No working cancel option
No working cancel option — kept getting charged
I tried to cancel my Lindy.AI subscription and there was no cancel button available in the billing settings. I’m clearly not the only one — there are multiple threads in their own community forum and other reviews here describing the exact same problem: no cancel option, support that doesn’t respond, and continued charges after people thought they had cancelled.
For a company built around AI automation, it’s hard to believe a simple cancel button is somehow beyond them. At minimum this is a serious product failure. At worst it functions as a way to keep billing customers who are actively trying to leave.
I had to remove my card from the account just to stop the charges, since the cancel flow itself didn’t work.
If you’re considering Lindy, use a virtual or single-use card and don’t expect to be able to cancel easily through their site. I’d also encourage others having this issue to file a complaint with the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov) — this kind of subscription trap is exactly what current ROSCA enforcement and the pending “Click-to-Cancel” rulemaking are meant to address.
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless, it made my inbox messier and life harder. DO NOT DO IT. It frequently made mistakes, would send reminders about low priority tasks but then would never update me on urgent things. It auto-moved all email invitations and meeting discussions to a hidden folder, and then didn't update or tell me about it. I missed a few important meetings, wondering why I was not getting any zoom invites... I asked it to undo the settings, but it didn't, I had to manually go in and fix it all myself. It continued messaging me after the free trial ended, and I had to go back in and delete the workspace just to be sure I wasn't going to get a surprise bill (as I see several reviews of that happening).
Service is not functional
Max subscribers for about 6-8 weeks. Do not pay for this service unless you want to burn credits for errors with their core (and basic) functionality. Here’s a list of many issues if you care for more detail. All were shared with Lindy Support with minimal resolution and in most cases, not at all:
1. Morning brief trigger failing
Recurring trigger failed at least 3 times due to a Google Calendar auth error. The OAuth token does not persist correctly in automated trigger contexts.
2. Gmail addLabel bug
The addLabel tool creates a blank "undefined" label instead of applying existing labels. I missed a time-sensitive email from a family member as a direct result. Thread IDs: 19da614fe36641fd and 19da5cf33140baf9.
3. Duplicate recurring triggers
12 triggers existed when only 4 should. Trigger IDs are not exposed in the UI, making self-service deletion impossible. I had to resolve this manually.
4. Gmail search not returning unread inbox emails (ongoing)
A Lindy Support reply sitting unread in my inbox was completely invisible to Gmail search across multiple query attempts.
5. Notion block-level permissions (ongoing)
The Pipedream integration cannot access blocks in the 341edb6a namespace. Confirmed as a known limitation with no ETA for a fix.
6. Gmail archive action failing (ongoing)
Archive action fails due to an ID mismatch. Escalated twice. No resolution provided.
7. Email confirmed sent but never delivered (repeated issue)
An email was confirmed as sent by the platform but never received by the recipient. Persisted for over 4 days with no resolution.
8. SMS channel completely non-functional (April 23)
All user texts went unanswered for hours. Resolved only after emergency escalation.
9. Email triage not firing (ongoing)
Triage enabled at both global and account level. No labels applied to any incoming emails. Escalated April 24 with no resolution.
10. Duplicate SMS replies
The agent sent two replies for every single incoming SMS throughout the day. Root cause never identified or addressed.
11. Recurring Gmail send channel failure
The Gmail send channel entered a broken state repeatedly, burning thousands of credits in failed loops. I followed your team's instructions to disconnect and reconnect all accounts. The issue persisted with no ETA from engineering.
12. Tentative calendar events repeatedly surfaced in morning briefings (ongoing)
Despite explicit and repeated instructions not to include tentative or unaccepted events in my morning briefings, the agent continued to surface them. This required multiple corrections over several weeks with no lasting fix.
13. Email alerts not firing
I explicitly instructed the agent to notify me when Amazon packages were delivered. The agent failed to send alerts on multiple occasions. As a direct result, packages were left unattended after delivery and were stolen. This caused real financial harm.
14. Emails sent to wrong recipients (multiple incidents)
This has occurred three times. On each occasion, the Gmail send tool replied to the wrong thread, sending personal or sensitive messages to unintended recipients. This pattern of misdirected emails has caused direct harm to my communications and relationships.
I subscribed today and lindy failed on…
I subscribed today and lindy failed on the first task. I asked it to find all unread emails. it found none. i had 6 in the past 4 months, but Lindy failed. Then i asked it to do it again and it found it. But it apologized with "My Bad." No thanks. I can hire real people who are incompetent and Rude. I don't need my software to be that way.
I had problems registering
I had problems registering, and when attempting to delete my partial registration and restart, there is no ability to access support. No Chat, the support email bounces
I have no way of reaching out to contact them
Very poor form
Avoid avoid avoid
Avoid avoid avoid! This entire app is most likely a scam. I signed up for the free trial and cancelled within the time limit. I was then charged four months on the bounce - emailing them is a dead end as all you get is pre-prepared responses.
The latest shock was me trying to send another email this morning as they tried to charge me again and the email address domain is no longer active - meanwhile the CEO/owner is on podcasts and linkedin still selling his subpar product!
Once again - avoid avoid avoid!
For AI it is expensive for what it…
For AI it is expensive for what it does. Did lag and overall just not a great experience. The automation are better than doing myself but hopefully they fix the credit system because its limited.
Deceptive cancellation process
Deceptive cancellation process. Still being charged months later.
They force you into a free trial at sign-up, and when you want to cancel, there's no self-serve option. The only way out is to book a call and conveniently, there's never any availability.
I emailed months ago asking to cancel and I'm still being charged. Based on other reviews, this is a pattern, not an accident. A company that makes it easy to sign up but nearly impossible to leave is telling you everything you need to know.
Don't bother. And if you already did, set a reminder, screenshot everything, and be ready to dispute charges with your bank.
Keep in mind they never replied that email so if they reply to this review that's laughable.
Update after company response:
Thank you for the reply.
I stand by my review. I attempted to cancel and contacted your team, but I was still charged afterward and did not receive a response resolving the cancellation at that time.
Yes, a cancel button does exist and in my experience at the time, clicking it led me to a process that required booking a call. That is exactly the issue I described in my review.
Your response says no call was needed and that a cancel button exists in Settings, but that was not my experience when I tried to cancel. The issue was only resolved after I left this public review.
I’m glad the account has now been cancelled and a refund has been issued, but my review accurately reflects what happened from my side.
I'm also more than happy to provide screenshots of my email to sales-lindy.

I had high hopes for Lindy
I had high hopes for Lindy, tbh. She's way more capable than Martin. However, as others have said, $50/month for 5,000 "credits" is too expensive. I signed up for the free trial (which gives you 5,000 credits) to try it out. I set up 2 email summaries per day to let me know what's going on and call out any high priority emails. I set up my calendar and scheduled a "Your day today..." message each morning. And I gave my morning and evening skincare regimen to her and asked for a text morning and evening for the respective routines. All she had to do was repeat the regimen back to me. By this time in the trial week, we'd burned through roughly 4,000 credits just setting up 4 tasks. This seemed fast but setup is often intensive so I asked for an estimate for running those tasks monthly. Lindy estimated 600-800 credits to run those tasks for a month. That's actually not bad, and I figured I could add a task or two to Lindy's load each month and continue to run existing in the 5,000 credit allowance.
Well it's been 10 days since renewal and she's burned through 1300 credits running only those tasks. Summarizing my email twice a day, giving me a daily overview, and telling me twice a day what my skincare routine was. At this rate, that's 3900 credits a month just to do those four insignificant tasks.
It's simply not worth it. The credits are black box. You have no idea how they get spent or how much a task will cost. This whole premise is designed to push you into overage at even more expense. I'm just trying to use Lindy for my personal life -- if I'd gone through the trouble to set it up for work I'd be out of credits already.
Save yourself the trouble. This model doesn't work and until they decide to provide greater value for price it simply won't. I'm hoping competition in the market will drive those changes.
Useless...
I came with high hopes, much given to the high price tag, but so far, Lindy is useless, I can't believe anyone let it in the market. Didn't properly parse/understand standard emails, couldn't log on services on my behalf, and couldn't access many public websites due to IP blocks on its servers.
Super Laggy - Not Worth the Price
Super laggy. It can go hours without getting a response. Also some trivial tasks can burn up credits quick. Worth the free test trial to play around with it. After that, delete it. Not worth the price, or the headache. Darn. Still searching for an amazing AI agent. This isn’t the one.
Thieves
Just another angry customer that got $350 taken out of my account without my authorization.

Scamming by overcharging your card for a huge amount of credits that you haven't used.
First of all they are extremely over priced.
Secondly they don't have proper means of communications with their support team, unless you write something here on a review website and they immediately respond.
But what is the real issue. Somehow magically they decided to charge me 550 USD for using 44,000 credits. Whilst my monthly subscription is only 25 USD per month. And I never permitted overcharge for additional credits.
Thanks god I didn't have that amount on my card to allow them to withdraw 550 USD from me. It is an act of scam totally.
Lindy, if you are seeing this, you better delete my account, because I ain't coming back.

Scammers
Scammers - they keep charging after cancellation! I cancelled my subscription, but they continue to take payments from my account. They refuse to delete my account and their support team doesn't respond to any emails. Be very careful with this company - they make it impossible to actually cancel and stop the charges. Avoid at all costs!

2-digit IQ AI level
Time-consuming thing that is basically more manual work than text-to-action AI, and the interface is not so intuitive, you need to invest time to connect two boxes in the field. Also, cannot figure out how to find free spots to schedule an appointment, but suggests random hours that are also not available.
Look up to Lovable, which actually works as promised.

Should have read Trustpilot first. Just wanted a 'look around', and signed up for a free trial, or so it seemed… which ended up costing me $40+/
UPDATE - so, to be fair, an email elicited an immediate refund promise, so I've upgraded to three stars. But a free tier intro membership should work without having to write emails to ask for your money back.

Serious Privacy Concerns and Careless Customer Support
After deleting my account, I was still charged $34.99 - which should never happen if a system properly removes payment information and personal data. When I raised this with their support team, their response was shockingly casual: “No worries, you won’t be charged again.” No investigation, no acknowledgment of the severity of processing a payment after account deletion, and no transparency about how my information remained active. This kind of negligence raises serious red flags about Lindy’s compliance and data security practices. Considering how many permissions and integrations the platform demands across email, calendars, and cloud storage, I wouldn’t trust this company with any personal or sensitive data.
The worst part is that there is nowhere…
The worst part is that there is nowhere to contact support. Nowhere. So if you have an issue, you have to use more credits and get answers from their AI agent. That was just the worst. They say they give you 500 credits as a free trial. I started using it, and within a few minutes, it said that I had used my 500 credits.
I sign up for the Pro account, $49/month for 5000 credits. I started using it, and within 10 minutes, it tells me that I've already used another 5,000 credits and that I needed to upgrade again. So no warning at all. Clearly this is the first time I'm using it because I just came from a free trial. Somehow they recommended me to you to use an agent that uses 5,000 credits in less than 10 minutes. I know they probably don't intend it to do that, but there's no warning or anything that you've already used 5,000 credits in free trial. No disrespect to whoever set this up, but this whole customer journey and everything feels like it was just vibe-coded and not really thinking about the customer.

Charged Without Clear Consent
Charged Without Clear Consent, No Refund IssuedI
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Lindy.ai. I clicked on a button in an email they sent me, and was immediately charged without any clear warning or confirmation step.
This felt like a deceptive practice. When I realized what happened and requested a refund, they refused to process it.
This is unacceptable business practice - charging customers without explicit, clear consent and then refusing to make it right.I expected better transparency and customer service.
Being charged unexpectedly and then denied a refund feels fraudulent. I would strongly advise others to be extremely careful when interacting with any Lindy.ai emails or to avoid the service altogether until they improve their billing practices and customer support.
