While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Total UX fail and a complete dark pattern.

Linear brags about "god-tier design," but they literally trap your data. I deleted my workspace and now I’m stuck in a permanent redirect loop. The app won't let me access my own profile settings to delete my account unless I'm "in" a workspace. So my email just stays in their database forever unless I beg support to delete me? Total bullshit. 1 star for making it impossible to leave.

Lightweight, Fast and Intuitive

My team was somewhat of an early adopter of Linear, we started using it when it was still in a closed beta back in December 2019. Definitely a great fit for small teams who run task-heavy feature backlogs.

There are many things to like, we love the super clean/intuitive interface, awesome keyboard shortcuts, Github and Slack integrations.

The one thing we've found frustrating is how often bugs creep into new releases. We've encountered bugs that partially or fully disrupted our ability to use their web app three times in the last two months.

While the team has been quick to respond/resolve, just know that you'll be using a tool that is in general less stable than Jira, Clubhouse and the like.

So far the trade-off between a more lightweight/faster tool and stability has been worth it for us, so if you're looking to keep issue-tracking simple and productive and don't mind running into an occasional bug, then give Linear a try.

A waste of time

Very poor customer relations and a waste of time. Why advertise a product when you don't reply to joining requests or even follow up attempts at contact? No contact for 2 months now and the sour taste from them acting this way just means I'll stick with competing products that treat me like I have at least *some* value as a customer. There's no excuse. Even a mass email with updates would have been something, but no.
