Extremely Poor Customer Support and a Frustrating Premium Subscription Experience
My experience with LinkedIn Premium has been extremely disappointing. I signed up for a free trial, believing I had canceled it before it ended, but was subsequently charged $239 for an annual subscription I neither needed nor intended to purchase.
What made this experience even worse was LinkedIn’s customer support. I tried to submit a refund request, but the form repeatedly displayed an “Unexpected error.” The support chat was also dysfunctional: the window kept moving off-screen, my messages stopped going through, and the conversation was eventually closed without resolving my issue.
When I explained what had happened, I received repetitive responses citing the refund policy, with no meaningful consideration of the technical problems that prevented me from submitting my request. I am not looking for a job and have no use for Premium Career features. I simply wanted to maintain a complete LinkedIn profile.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in LinkedIn. Charging customers for an annual subscription they did not intend to keep is frustrating enough; making it difficult to contact support and then refusing to meaningfully address technical failures is even worse. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a free trial to pay close attention to cancellation and billing dates.
My account gets hacked and i create a new one then restrict
My account gets hacked, my new account gets restricted, and LinkedIn does absolutely NOTHING!
Honestly, what the hell is wrong with LinkedIn?
Someone hacked my original account, and now I'm the one paying the price for it. I can't properly recover my account, I can't make changes to it, and I feel completely powerless while someone else has compromised an account that belongs to me.
And guess what LinkedIn does when I try to create a new account? RESTRICTS IT IMMEDIATELY!
Seriously? My original account gets hacked, I struggle to regain control of it, and when I try to find a way forward by creating a new account, LinkedIn restricts that one too. What kind of ridiculous system is this?
I'm the person trying to regain access to my own account, yet I'm the one being punished. Meanwhile, the situation with my original account remains unresolved. Where is the logic in that?
And don't even get me started on the account recovery and identity verification process. When the process itself becomes another obstacle, what exactly are users supposed to do? Just give up and accept losing their professional network, contacts, and opportunities?
LinkedIn loves presenting itself as a professional platform, but this experience has been anything but professional. A platform used by millions of people for their careers should have a competent support system that can actually handle hacked accounts and help legitimate users recover access.
Instead, I'm stuck in a frustrating loop: my original account was compromised, I can't properly manage it, and my new account gets restricted immediately.
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO, LINKEDIN?
This is absolutely infuriating. Users shouldn't have to fight their own platform just to protect their accounts and get back to work.
Fix your account recovery system. Improve your support. Stop making legitimate users suffer because their accounts have been compromised.
One of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a supposedly professional platform. Absolutely disgraceful.
This is not the Linkedin we used to have! Not sure what this is!
I am not sure what is happening with my data and face beein scanned and harvested!
Has anyone else experienced this?
I forgot my password, I try to log in via my google account and I was asked to be scanned with Persona AI and my ID too! I asked AI what they do with my data the AI says although they may not do anything with it they do sell it to thrid parties!
After I was thorouoghly scanned and had to do security checks the account is still not accessible and I was asked to be photographed again with my ID. Then 3rd time prompt and codes sent to my email and when I tried to repeat the process only then, a pop message appeared at the top saying 'we are still processing your data'. I am not sure if I made a mistake to use LInkedin I have not been on it for over a year since I just had random people sending DMs advertising their ridiculously low paying roles! I am not sure why Linkedin has ended up being such a poor performer in terms of safety and why after AI scans I have to wait without knowing what is happening with my account. Anyway I would probably ask them to delete my account if this is what I am most likely getting from them. Although I regret the fact they scanned my face and ID and they will already make profit selling this data and me resulting having non stop AI scam phone calls out of nowhere! Thanks Linkedin, I should have read the reviews before doing the security checks with you!
Worst app Ive ever used
Worst app Ive ever used. You spend a long time setting up an account just for if get suspended. Idiots run it.

No human support after a hack. Pathetic security
My LinkedIn account was hacked. The attacker posted a fake job and messaged people from my profile, using my name and photo. When I tried to log in, I was locked out and told to submit a live selfie and a photo of my government ID. I did it because I had no other option. The account was restored, but I have no idea how that data is stored, who has access to it, or how long it’s kept.
What makes it worse is that there is no way to reach a human. No phone, no real chat, no answers. Just forms and automated replies. A platform that runs on people’s real identities and professional reputations should not leave victims alone like this.
Anyone can apparently take over an account, run job scams in your name, and the only response is “send us your ID.” If you ever get hacked, expect to be on your own.
Zero stars if I could. When would these so called big companies realize that AI cannot do what humans can and it just works on what is fed to it.
They are unhelpful
They are unhelpful. They will take your money without telling you. I had a free subscription that I thought was canceled, and they charged me for a full year without warning that my free subscription was ending or that I would be charged for a year. Again, I thought I had canceled my free subscription because I wasn't using the features. My cancellation obviously did not go through. Now they won't give me a refund!
LinkedIn literally took my money for…
LinkedIn literally took my money for free—I subscribed to Career Premium in error for just a few minutes (less than 10 minutes). logged in the next and asked for a refund—they mentioned that I am not eligible because I have used the premium features. But they cannot explain which premium features I used. THIS IS VERY TERRIBLE.
Disappointing LinkedIn Premium Billing Experience
Disappointing LinkedIn Premium Billing Experience
I am extremely disappointed with my LinkedIn Premium subscription experience.
I signed up in September 2026 for a promotional offer that I understood to be $39.99 for two months. However, I was charged another $39.99 in October, which was unexpected.
I believe subscription pricing and promotional terms should be clearly communicated to customers. Unexpected charges undermine customer trust.
I am requesting a review of the additional charge, a refund if it was incorrect, and cancellation of my subscription.
I expected better transparency and customer service from a professional platform like LinkedIn.
**Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.**
Report a job and nothing done, crap service
I have been a member for over 30 plus years and I have never experienced such discrimination and unsupported company, very quick to ask for money for their Premium service, which does nothing only for recruiters and big companies, us individuals get the crap, can even apply for a job, as it keeps saying unable to send or some other crap it a total shambles and a ridiculous service and I will be asking the trading standards to investigate the way this company does business in the UK as they support companies, and bigger bosses, not independent people or individuals. Total joke, I should ask a few people I know and come up with a platform that will wipe the floor with them. Simple as that.
Don’t buy LinkedIn Premium — completely useless if your account gets blocked
My LinkedIn account was blocked while I had an active Premium subscription.
I completed the identity verification (KYC) several times, but my access was still not restored. I can no longer access my LinkedIn Premium account or use the service I paid for.
The worst part is the lack of customer support. There is no meaningful support for regular users, and apparently being a Premium subscriber doesn’t make much difference either.
So what am I supposed to do now — keep paying for a subscription indefinitely while being unable to access my account?
Thanks for nothing, LinkedIn.

Im a retired veteran and decided to get back in the workforce. I need to build a resume, but Linkedkin makes it impossible to access the platform to do so.
I hate Linkedkin. They are impeding my being able to create a profile to apply for a job. Im considering a class action lawsuit.
LinkedIn….more like LeftOut
LinkedIn should change its name to LeftOut. It’s nothing but Corporate nepo-babies talking about how great their jobs are and solicitors trying to take advantage of people desperately looking for work. No one cares about your company’s values or your most recent retreat. I hope another business that actually helps people get hired replaces LinkedIn
A Masterclass in Poor Customer Support
LinkedIn restricted my account almost immediately after creation and refused to explain why.
I submitted a valid government-issued passport five times. Initially I was told passports were acceptable. Later I was told not to submit a passport and to provide a different form of ID instead. When I asked why, nobody could explain.
Throughout the process, I repeatedly asked two simple questions:
• Why was my account restricted?
• Why was my passport rejected?
Neither question was ever answered.
Instead, I received what appeared to be copy-and-paste responses, contradictory instructions, and irrelevant troubleshooting advice. The case was eventually closed for "lack of legitimate identification" despite my repeated submission of a valid passport.
The most frustrating part is not the restriction itself. It is the apparent refusal to provide any transparency, explanation, or accountability.
For a company built around professional communication, this was one of the most opaque and frustrating support experiences I have encountered from a major technology company.
No explanation. No transparency. No accountability.

A good way of getting yourself scammed
The only thing I ever got from LinkedIn was scammed - out of my life savings.
They can keep the bloody thing!
Disgraceful cash grab
Disgraceful cash grab. They offered a trial of the premium service that also gives access to a trial of YouTube premium. Then LATER, in fine print, it says that's only triggered when it renews. Purposely false advertising
Scammers used my email to create account and support won't delete it!
Someone used MY email address to create an account on Linkedin! I can't reset password to try to delete the account because they have some sort of 2FA activated which I can't access!! I contacted support and they are beyond useless! They asked me to provide my ID which I did, then say say the name doesn't match the profile! Of course it doesn't match it!!! They're using my email address and it's not my account!
Absolutely shocking company and…
Absolutely shocking company and service. I made 1 mistake and allowed a marketing person to manage my linked in, and I got blocked.
To date, I have tried like 7 times and its impossible to speak to Linked in or any human.
I have lost 20 years of history and contacts.
Dont get me wrong, I only need Linked in for investment purposes, oterwise its a terrible platform, full of people swining their junks at others, and barely anything useful came out of it.
DO NOT OPT FOR FREE PREMIUM AS YOU…
DO NOT OPT FOR FREE PREMIUM AS YOU LOOSE YOUR ACCOUNT. Clicked on the 1 month free premium account and somehow system created a new account and locked me out of my old account. Asked for help but despite that , my old account (which I had over 20 years) is gone. Thanks Linkedin, will not start again but spend my efforts warning others not to use premium features.
