A very disappointing experience
We signed up to LogMeIn during COVID but have not used the service for several years. Unfortunately, the subscription continued to auto-renew, as reminders were sent to a staff member and went unnoticed.
This year, the subscription renewed again, and I contacted customer service immediately. While they agreed to cancel going forward, they refused any refund, stating their policy requires full payment for 365 days regardless of usage.
This feels unfair and very rigid. There is no flexibility or consideration for customers who are no longer using the service.
After checking Trustpilot, it’s clear many others have had the same experience with auto-renewals, refund refusals, and poor customer support.
Overall, a very disappointing experience that shows a lack of customer care.
Auto renew is a scam
Auto renew is a scam. They bill without warning and make it a pain in the A** to cancel. They offer no discount after you have been blindsided by the charge and want to cancel. Even when you have been a customer for like 8 years. Crappy way to do business, find a better alternative like I have.

Horrible service and horrible customer…
Horrible service and horrible customer service. You will not get a refund unless you are a month within first purchasing. The program takes some time getting used to.
Rip off and no service.
Very difficult to use. Gave up on it. Just saw they were renewing my subscription. Cancelled it. They went ahead and want to bill me for the next 365 anyways. I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said none are available. Rip off company, and terribliy unhelpful. But very good at grabbing the money without procurring a service.
Business closed; Refund refused.
We were long time customers for Logmein and it worked great. We were able to remote into computers instead of driving 45 minutes to trouble shoot issues.
However, our business closed 6 months ago, and they are refusing to refund us for the auto-subscription. They charged our credit card without notification and are now refusing a refund even though we called the same day saying that it is the terms. If you want to save yourself the pain of $1500+ out of your pocket, cancel your subscription before you forget to turn off the auto renew!

Hamachi is potentially malware or spyware. It opens without my consent after I have indicated that it should not open in the background when Windows starts up.

Nice job, works.
I only really use Hamachi, and it works well. Especially helpful when setting up a LAN game with long distance friends on some video games i play.

Product is a security concern
The product worked well for many years, but my health organization recently blocked the product due to security concerns. I suspect that many companies will have similar issues as it bypasses normal security measures designed ot protect the internal network. When I asked for a refund for the unused portion of the subscription, the company refused, even though the request was made 2 days after it renewed. They also do not provide notice of impending renewals. Caveat emptor.
Terrible experience with Logmein.
Terrible experience with Logmein.
Flipped free service to subscription and refused to consider refund when informed of error.
Avoid at all costs. To add insult to injury was mid Covid and we were under immense pressure. Shocking tactics.

What a deceptive experience
What a deceptive experience. I received service from Sara. She informed me that my renewal for the basic package would be $350 but she's giving me a 25% off to renew at $262. I proceeded to renew at the price. Then logged into my account to find my original invoice at $272 for renewal. Wowwww, thanks for the $10 off. I email Sara back about clarity for this and she claimed that at the time that was the renewal cost, yet disregards the attached invoice I included. I email how deceptive that was but she didn't respond until I asked for cancellation. She replied that she had transfered me to the cancellation team. And here I am today searching what log me in charges for the basic package to find it at $30. What a shitting experience I have with the reps trying to rip off their long time customer. I'm moving on from this BS.

If you wanna cancel
If you wanna cancel, you will not get a heads up email from the company as usual like with Microsoft and all the other companies.
So be aware, if you don't cancel with the support and you get the cancellation approved by an email, you will be stuck forever.
I did the online cancellation, and I had no products in my product list, but still got charged for my product, which I had for the last 10 to 15 years, which worked perfect when ist was LogMeIn, but I don't need it now anymore. But you can't get out !online!, and you just get the bill when it's too late. So be aware!!!

I never used this product
I never used this product. I must have given my credit card for a trial.
The day they renewed, they charged my card over $800. I tried to end my subscription. The customer support said I could not cancel my subscription unless it was 15 days before renewal. They would not give me back my money. They said I had to pay, even though I literally never used the product more than once because I didn't like it.

Have switched to remotepc.com and have been extremely happy with it! A percentage of the cost of Logmein and better service. Make certain to cancel your subscription to GoTo as they will bill you in advance for renewals. I learned the hard way and got stuck with a $600 renewal we will NEVER use.
Thanks for your reply "logmein". I simply want others to know that they should cancel before being charged for two years of service that is way overpriced compared to your competitor remotepc.com.

Terrible experience with questionable charging tactics. Would avoid this company at all costs and not link any financial details to the company
I no longer use this product and tried to cancel
I no longer use this product and tried to cancel the product. I received a bill on the day the autorenewal was sent/started.(No email that autorenewal is starting). Company states that there is fine print that customers agree to autorenewal and will pay. I would consider this a deceptive method to keep billing people. The company appears to have a new owner and business practices that I question. I will work with my credit card company to resolve this issue.
To cancel, you must submit in writing 30 days before renewal that you would like to cancel. Otherwise you are stuck paying for the full next year.
Just a heads up about canceling if you have an automatic renewal.
When I first started with this service 15-ish years ago, it worked fairly well. Since then, it hasn't improved. I found it very slow to use. We've recently switched to cloud based for our software and no longer need the service. This has been automatically renewing since I started many years ago. I just saw it hit my credit card a week ago and called today to cancel.
It just billed and automatically renewed 7 days ago.
But I am unable to cancel the subscription and get a credit. Due to the small print from probably when I first signed up that states.... In order to cancel, you must submit in writing 30 days before the automatic renewal that you would like to cancel.
Let me start off by saying I love this product…
Let me start off by saying I love this product. Now let me also say that I'm frustrated beyond believe about the major issues I'm having with this company trying to get this product working with '2' different accounts, both paid individually and both with totally different email addresses with the computers for each email. Every time they say it's resolved it's messed up more than the time before, if that's possible, which I hate to say is more than possible. When I've called tech support passes me to billing where I'm then passed back to tech support, see where I'm going here? This has been going on for almost 2 weeks. I've sent them copies of both charges yet they keep telling me that one of the accounts is not paid even though I've sent copies of the credit card charge. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm at my wits end and don't know where to go. Whenever I ask for a supervisor it's a nope. I have a feeling that this stuff happens often with this company because no one could possibly be doing what they're doing to me intentionally, as no could be that inept. But, alas I guess someone is!!!
Money Greedy and they don't care about their customers
After several years of subscribing to the LogMeInPro software I decided I no longer needed the product. I went on the site and eventually had to google how to cancel my account. You have to call them and the phone tree is a nightmare and once you finally get someone the verification process is archaic. They asked for a credit card number that had changed d/t theft over 3 months ago and when I went on the site to see what the old number was I discovered that you can't even go on to change your billing information. You have to call for that too.
Despite me contacting them within a week of my renewal they refused to refund me. I never received any notice that my renewal was coming up so my take is that they are money greedy and not customer oriented at all.
For a technology company they should make it easier to update your information and cancel your account other than a phone call to another country.
Criminal Billing Practices
This company is almost criminal in its billing process. I stopped using the product months ago (I was on a month-to-month contract). There is no mechanism to delete your credit card or cancel your subscription on the website. If you find the well hidden contact number, it sends you directly to voicemail - even during business hours. Nobody has ever returned my call despite several attempts to get a call-back. I finally found another number via a google search and we will see if they finally cancel the subscription. They offer no refund of even the current month which was charged today. I waited to speak to a supervisor, but nobody answered. The service didn't keep up with the times, so we went to Zoom. Seriously flawed company. STAY AWAY.
