I would think twice before purchasing…

I would think twice before purchasing paving slabs from this company. They make unreasonable barriers to return surplus stock with high charges and refuse to take away any empty pallets. These pallets are difficult to dispose of as they are re-enforced. Make sure you factor these issues into selecting a provider.

Thank you taking the time to leave us your review and for the order you placed with us.

Our returns policy has been the same for numerous years now and is stated in full on our website under the Returns and Refunds FAQ’s – Customers can return surplus goods within 30 days from delivery and as long as they are returned in the same manner they were delivered, be that in the original cardboard wrapping for porcelain paving, the equal mix of 4 sizes for our project pack goods and also in re-sellable condition without any damage, stains or cuts as we would then look to sell those returned goods again.

The charges for restocking have always been the case for any orders placed under a Trade account as it requires time for the goods to be checked over once they have been returned to make sure these can be sold again and the time this takes to be done is a cost to our business. The collection charge is there as it is a cost for us to run our fleet of lorries and this cost is treated like our delivery charge as it is to cover the running costs as I have mentioned.

In relation to the collection of empty pallets, this has always been the responsibility of the customer to dispose of, We are not a registered waste carrier. We are continually looking at ways to improve our carbon footprint, it would go against this if we were to go around and collect all the empty pallets from previous orders again due to the running of our fleet of vehicles, this would have a detrimental effect.

So disappointed product doesnt look as advertised

So disappointed, having spent lots of money on what should have been a premium set of clay pavers arrived looking very white on the smooth surface side. Nowhere on their site do they describe these pavers as having a white colouration, which feels like such a mirepresenation. Unfortunately the builder had already placed them. After installation they seem even more starkly white and definitely don’t look anything like what is on their site. On top of that I would say the general quality of the pavers is subpar- they are all chipped. Some have full corners missing! How can you charge £75 per sqm pre VAT for something so unreliable

We purchased two shipments of premium…

We purchased two shipments of premium porcelain slabs over the last few months. The first shipment of the largest quantity arrived without any damage. Sadly our top up order arrived in an appalling condition, my workers had to unload the product, over 50% of the product was compromised and broken. My rating is 1 star as after spending close to 3k the customer service experience from the Bristol team was appalling they use third party deliveries for top up orders and arrive in a overloaded transit van with no fork lift to unload.
Premium looking slabs but sub par customer service. At least I got a full refund from our credit card company, do not expect the refund to come from the company itself.

I am aware of the issues surrounding your top-up order, as this was escalated to me following your discussions with the Bristol Showroom.

Firstly, I appreciate the frustration caused by the delivery delay due to an issue with our third-party hauler. As a gesture of goodwill, your delivery charge was refunded, and the matter was raised internally with both our Transport Department and the hauler involved.

Following delivery, damages were reported to some of the slabs. In line with our usual process, the showroom requested a count of the affected slabs so we could arrange suitable replacements and ensure your project could be completed satisfactorily. However, due to your project timescales, you advised that you were unable to wait for replacements and instead requested a full refund.

A 50% refund was offered as a resolution, but this was declined. We also requested further photographic evidence of the damage, but unfortunately insufficient evidence was provided to support a full refund while the majority of the goods remained in use.

To resolve the matter, we offered to collect the full order and issue a full refund. Due to the earlier delivery issues, this collection was personally arranged through a member of our business development team. Upon arrival, only a small number of slabs remained for collection, as the majority had already been laid and installed. A refund was therefore processed for the 8 slabs that were returned.

While we regret the issues experienced with the order, I believe we acted professionally throughout and made every effort to reach a fair resolution. Following the collection and refund for the returned slabs, we were disappointed to learn that a chargeback claim had also been pursued through your credit card provider, despite the majority of the materials having been retained and installed.

We pride ourselves on our customer service and always aim to resolve issues fairly and efficiently for our customers.

The delivery was made in good time but…

The delivery was made in good time but some of the tiles were delivered very badly stained and covered in dirt meaning we had to spend a lot of time cleaning the slabs before they could be used. Two large slabs were so badly stained they could not be used, I had to send one of my workers in a cab to collect replacements. This all cost quite a bit in the ime and paying for additional travel insurance expenses.

Guys in the show room done a good job…

Guys in the show room done a good job keeping me updated with the order, it did get delayed by a few weeks, apparently shipping issues. On delivery it got left half on the path & drivway, unfortunately I wasn’t there to receive the delivery due to the delay! But client mentioned the driver didn’t want to help get package on the driveway fully a shame as they are an elderly couple who have spent well to acquire the stone. Hopefully it’s of a good nature the bull nose slabs when we go to lay it.
