My Wife bought me my Longines V.H.P. Conquest for my birthday 3 years ago. one day it set to 12.00 which I thought the battery was dead. Turns out after awaiting 8 weeks to be told the technician said a complete service of the movement is required with a new crown, tube, hands and case attachment which will cost €300! and that will take 12 weeks. Why can this not be covered under the garentee? I have had cheap watches last longer than three years. Stir clear of Longines is my advice. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere because it will cost you more in the end.

Update following a response from Longines to my earlier review of 4th June:- The purpose of my review was to bring the very poor standard of Longines Watches to the attention of potential purchasers, not the company. I won't be contacting Longines at the email address provided because it's very apparent from the 60 per cent of very dissatisfied reviewers and the stock responses made every time, that Longines has not and never will do anything to address its obvious quality control issues. It's clear to me that it doesn't care about customer complaints and that it's content to market substandard watches to customers who are falsely led to believe they're buying a luxury product that's quality engineered.

I sent my vhp 3 hand no chrono or gmt to longines for a battery and reseal. I was expecting a 90 quid partial service charge. I bought the watch in November 2022. They have told me it needs a new movement as it has foreign debris in it and quoted me 248 quid. Nothing on my watch is broken. Now they won't do a battery change and reseal with a warranty as it needs a new movement. They are a complete scam avoid at all costs, last time I buy a longines.
I used a different servicing centre who can do a simply battery change under a warranty.

I visited Longines, Covent Garden twice in the last two days initially to make enquiries about a repair to my watchstrap and then to make arrangements for my watch to be sent to Longines’ Head Office for evaluation.
From start to finish the standard of customer service, care, courtesy and attention was simply incredible. I dealt with three members of their staff and every one of them deserves very special recognition from their employer. I was slightly overwhelmed after leaving their shop due to the fact I am not used to such an astonishingly high level of service and attention; one normally has to accept a certain level of retail indifference and low level service nowadays and which is an increasing reflection of the times sadly.
Longines Covent Garden went above and beyond today and I really must offer my appreciation and congratulations for a truly magical experience.
Thank you

Not very impressive (for the price) having had this under five years and a part snapping, had much, much cheaper watches in the past last longer without any parts snapping.
Longines prices are disconnected with the actual (low) quality of the product, sad as it’s a nice looking piece…

1.16 Update - After returning item back to them (they received it on 1.5 per FedEx tracking) am STILL NOT REFUNDED!!! Two weeks later! No refund! I also learned based their phone transferred that the service is outsourced to some LLC. So when you need CS you're not even talking to Longines - you are talking to some stupid contractor that doesn't give a damn about good CS! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
I’ve bought my first and last Longines product.
I ordered a $250 Longines bracelet directly from their site, and the color that arrived was completely different from what is shown in their official photos – not a subtle variation, but a totally different shade that looks cheap and mismatched in real life. When I contacted Longines, instead of acknowledging the problem, their customer service tried to gaslight me by hiding behind “slight variations in color are normal,” as if a wildly off shade is acceptable at this price point.
I explicitly asked to return the bracelet twice in follow‑up emails, well within the 30‑day return window that Longines themselves promote for unworn items, and both messages were simply ignored. No return label, no actual help, just silence once they realized I wasn’t going to accept a defective‑looking product.
For a brand that markets itself as “heritage Swiss luxury,” this is embarrassing service and feels more like a discount online shop that hopes you’ll give up and keep something you don’t want. I own one Longines watch, and after this experience with dishonest presentation and indifferent support, it will absolutely be my last.

I have been a Longines customer for over 35 years and purchased several different watches from the Elegant collection. The last watch I purchased stopped in the warranty, a new battery was put in. Just after the warranty finished, it stopped again and a $320.-- repair was needed.
The watch before stopped after a few year and a $900.-- repair was needed, it was suggested that I buy a new one.
The watch before that, its strap wore out after 15 years, which can be expected. That one is still going and keeps good time.

That is a long history that I don’t need to tell again. Mails attached show everything that started on may 2025 when I bought a Longiness flagship. In 7 months, I was able to wear that for 40 days. The rest was on fixing process in your authorized dealers and since 10/23 it is in Longiness facility that request me 4/5 business day to tell me something. I didn’t hear anything from you 40 days after your communication – see mail below from 10/24 with red marks.
I continue insisting that this timepiece has unsolved factory original problems begging you to give a new one. You deny that and don’t give me any definitive solution.
Attached you will find all the mails that I sent to you, and you replied to me. From the Longiness Service Center in New Jersy you transferred the timepiece to CS of Miami what clearly shows that the problem with the equipment is more serious than imagined. I you insist in deny exchange that.
I really would like to escalate this problem to a level that has someone with more than good sense, but power of decision.
I’ll do my best to find that spreading this mail for everybody and also for the social media. Your attitude is unacceptable.
I dream that became a nightmare…. That’s the true

Bought my Longines Hydroconquest GMT used, loved the watch but all of a sudden it started running fast and wouldn’t hold a wind. The watch was still under warranty so contacted Longines UK. Fantastic service, sent the watch to them free, got told it had been somehow magnetised. They sorted it and sent it back all under warranty. Great service, and still love the watch.

Bought a new watch, Dolcevita, from Grace at Longines in Sydney. Excellent customer service, Grace didn't rush my decision, therefore, I made the right choice. Extremely happy with my new watch.

I sent my expensive watch in to get the battery changed as took it to authorised retailer whom it was purchased from. They blindsided me with a $155 service. I concede then they decide to destroy my watch and make it not work and demand a over $400 ransom. The thing ticked fine the date didn't work. You broke it and now I'm expected to fix it? I will be contacting A current affair, the ACCC and the ombudsman

The watch I bought 2 years ago, I only worn handfuls of time. The bracelet started to have tiny holes spread EVENLY THROUGHOUT THE BRACELET. I sent the watch back to Longines, and they want me to pay for another watch because they said the damage was caused due to wearing. I SWEAR TO GOD there's no way a normal wear would cause TINY HOLES throughout the bracelet! This is a quality issue, I asked them to prove how can normal wear on the wrist would cause small holes throughout the bracelet EVENLY. They couldn't answer.
They charged $2000 CAD retail for the watch, and the quality of the bracelet is bad enough to have holes throughout the bracelet and they refused to replace it and said normal wear caused that. Spend your money elsewhere Im begging you people. LONGINES IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. If I can post a photo here I will, to show everyone how can a normal wear causing evenly contributed holes!!
I need to use another account to post this update to warn everyone how bad this company is.

Update:
The customer service team finally replied my email and stated that they will mail me a FedEx box for me to send the watch in. It's been 10 days, still no shipping box, and Longines is still taking their sweet time to reply email every few days. I can't believe Longines has such a poor customer service. If you want to charge high price for your watch, you have to have better customer service. Please spend your money elsewhere.
I wish I had seen all these negative reviews before I made my purchase with Longines. They are indeed bad quality time pieces with terrible customer service. I regretted every penny I spent on this watch.
I had the worst experience with Longines, I sent emails to customer service and it's been 5 days, no one ever replied. I sent dm to IG, no replies either. My watch is showing abnormalities after minimum wears, and no one even care to reply to my emails. I have two cases number 01886010 and 01891377, no one bother to answer my questions. Do not shop at Longines. Don't waste your money.

I bought Zulu time Ref: L38024636 in mid-April, and already at the end of May I had to send it back under warranty. The watch just stopped and stopped winding one day, right on my hand. A month and a half has passed, the watch is still being repaired, the deadline for the work has already been postponed once, to be honest, after reading the comments here, I think I won't see it again anytime soon. I don't think this is quite the appropriate quality for 3,500 euros. I really like the design, but I'm unlikely to buy another Longines watch after this case.

My experience with Longines started off on a frustrating note due to an issue with my watch. Initially, I was disappointed and reached out to voice my concerns. However, I was genuinely impressed by how the situation was handled.
The customer service team went above and beyond — not only were they responsive and professional, but they also made me feel valued as a customer. What began as a complaint turned into one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had.
A big thank you to Laura at Longines team for turning things around so quickly and efficiently. You’ve definitely earned my trust and loyalty.

I originally sent my lovely old Longines Conquest self winding automatic for a service Aug.24. Unfortunately it left my watch with 2 problems that I have never experienced before with this watch. I wear my watch all day and only take it off for bed. It should run for at least this time with it's power reserve so the next day it should still be keeping time. On several occasions it stopped over night. Added to this the crown for winding and setting the time was so stiff to turn in was almost impossible to wind the watch manually which I have always been able to do.
I returned my watch for service again asking that this was remedied. I eventually received my watch back a couple of weeks ago. Both of these issues are now far worse, in addition one of the retaining pins that joins the bracelet to the watch has mot been fully pushed into position.
Is it worth sending it back again for another 3 months?

A watch 2.5 years old. Its called VHP & is set using a Longines app.
The app is now unavailable & renders the function completely useless. Nothing on the Longines web site to explain why.
DO NOT BUY LONGINES, I've just seen their revues, has to be one of the worst ratings of any watch manufacturer. By an Omega if you can afford it, all else fails get a Citizen Eco Drive & save the money.

I have recently inherited a very old gold mechanical longines watch. I am utterly amazed at the fantastic customer service from longines. I contacted them as I didn’t want to overwind the watch, I merely wanted advice on how many times to turn the crown. They actually sent the watch to Switzerland as it was classed a Heritage watch. They sent a pre packaged, pre paid insured watch box and packaging to send the watch to be assessed, it then went off to Switzerland for a full assessment. I got regular emails, and could receive a service and repair, I decided not to go for the repairs or service; and then I received the advice on how many times to turn the crown as requested. The watch was sent back to me in a very smart watch box and I am sure it does look like the face and strap are cleaner. I asked how much I owed for their service, and I was informed nothing was due to be paid. I can’t recommend this company enough. I have actually bought a new longines watch for myself as a retirement gift,as my faith in the company is paramount, I have been pleasantly surprised throughout. Thank you Longines
