What happened to LS1?
As you can see from my previous review, we had a really good experience with LS1 back in 2019. New boiler etc which came with 7 year manufacture warranty and 10 year LS1 extended warranty. I'm trying to find out where LS1 has gone but judging by the recent reviews things seem to have fallen off and now I don't know what happens regarding the extended warranty.
Don't bother with them, they are clsoed
We had our boiler fitted by them a couple of years ago and started experiencing issues with it this year. Tried to call them and no answer. Turns out they had closed downs and didn't bother to inform any of their customers or even sent letters or email. Stay far away from this company and go somewhere else.
Avoid this company
Had a boiler fitted a year ago with lots of problems. Finally put right after two weeks continuous running. Promised a free first service as compensation. Booked in but cancelled by them. Contacted them after two emails but was told they couldn't do the service and to get someone else to do it. A lot of childish emails followed when they told me that a bad review wouldn't matter as they are closing the business.

What’s happened to this wonderful company? Had monthly payment plan with them , but it was
cancelled by them in December, was offered a refund , but still waiting! NO refund! No reply from e mails or phone call either!!

Refused to resolve faulty work and now they have closed
I'm not sure what's happened to LS1, as they had previous had great reviews and were even recommended to me by a friend who really rated them.
I had a new boiler installed by them late October and after they had completed the work, I noticed that my my water pressure had dropped. As I was getting a new bathroom fitted I decided to see how it was after that. However, before, during and after the refurb the boiler kept dropping below functioning level. I contacted LS1 who refused to even come to check if things had been fitted correctly and said it had to do with Thames Water. I said to them at the time, I had no idea how they can assume this without checking and also highlighted no other properties in my block were having issues. They continued to refuse to attend and advised I had to deal with Worcester Bosch direct.
Few days later, I was completely without heating and hot water. Worcester Bosch came out in December and straight away spotted they had installed a part of the pipes that restricts pressure (not what you want in an old building) and absolutely nothing wrong with the actual boiler. He tried to contact them them and they were meant to call him back - I'm not sure if they ever did. I've been chasing since for them to confirm when they are coming to fix their incorrect installation. No response until today's chasing, in which I got a response saying they are 'permanently closed for business and we will be unable to attend or assist'.
If they do reopen, avoid like the plague, as it seems they really didn't care about their customers towards the end, took people's money and ran.
A real shame
I had a great installation at a great price a couple of years ago and signed up to the service plan paying monthly for an annual service. I called up to book in December and was told they don't have enough engineers due to covid and I'd get my money back. Fair enough, the circumstances are difficult and I found another company to get the boiler serviced at the same price. The issue is I'm still waiting on my money to be returned a month and a half later when being told it would take 2 weeks. It's impossible to contact anyone at the company as they have temporarily closed. No answerphone and no response to WhatsApp messages.
Time to avoid
WOW!!, the replies back from LS1 to previous reviews and the way in which they have conducted themselves is absolutely shocking! but does explain what's happening within this business, as I've been waiting 10 days now for someone to call me back to reschedule a boiler service. LS1 also cancelled my boiler care plan with no reason which is still available on their website!?. Its such a shame to see how a lack of customer service can drag a business down in this way, as behind the scenes, the engineers had done a fantastic job in both my properties. Having made numerous recommendations to my network to use LS1, I'm now walking away from this company as clearly they have a complete disregard towards customer retention.
Dreadful experience continues
Dreadful experience. Our new boiler was installed in October however it only worked with part of our central heating system although they had agreed prior to installation that it would be connected to all of our system. They agreed to return to fix the problem but had no appointments until 13 December. They charged us for a new pump but this did not fix the problem. Despite several requests they are refusing to return to sort the problem out.
Sarah Smith (from LS1) last email (16 December) reads: ‘I have no availability and due to the current pandemic and staff sickness I am closing the company for the rest of the year. The way things are headed I doubt I will be offering any services in the new year as I have no staff’.
I have replied saying I am sympathetic but still need my heating to be fixed. Since then, no response.
LS1 Boilers are still offering on line quotes on their website
I am disappointed by your rude and negative response to my review. We clearly have a different view of your responsibilities to complete these works however, contrary to your assertion, we have been polite and constructive throughout our dialogue and, considering how long it is taking to resolve this matter, very patient.
You will recall that my last email to you on 16 December, to which you have not responded read:
‘Whilst I am sympathetic to the many difficulties facing companies operating in the current climate, this should not be used as an excuse to evade your responsibilities to complete jobs which you have started and for which we have already paid a considerable amount without an effective outcome. Please check the availability of the boiler engineer we have been working with and fix a date for him to return’.
My advice to you is that you do now take a few days off and return after a break with a more constructive and customer facing approach to resolving this matter.

Refusing to honour a so-called 12 year maintenance warranty
Refusing to honour a so-called 12 year maintenance warranty just 11 months after installation of a brand new boiler, claiming the staff who offered the warranty have left and were not authorized to do so. Hilarious stuff. That’s not how contracts work people. Ever heard of unilateral amendment constituting a repudiation? They also continue to advertise the 12 warranty. Avoid at all costs, don’t waste your time, go direct with Worcester.
Additional comment respond to the blatantly false response posted below:
-firstly, i signed a contract with you that provides for a 12 year warranty.
-before choosing LS1 i searched far and wide for a reputable supplier and installer offering the best terms. I chose LS1 as it was (apparently) the best offer in terms of price and coverage.
-the boiler was installed.
-i paid the exact price you advertised as per the contract.
-you now tell me to go elsewhere and you never offered a 12 year warranty, despite the fact that i have a valid and enforceable written contract with you signed by you and offered by you/ accepted by me in writing, which clearly includes a 12 year warranty. In your own writing.
It’s in the public interest that other customers know your so called 12 year warranty is simply false advertising.
As to your other comments , i have no idea what you are talking about. I have had no correspondence with you since installation, until just now when i enquired about annual servicing and maintaining the warranty, and to my surprise you tell me the warranty is a joke and you never offered it, and you suggest that LS1 is another company and that i should speak to them rather than you.

Superb installation
The entire process was faultless and fast. Reception staff were very friendly, the technical service manager provided great advice and really helpful. The engineers on the day, were superb - friendly, helpful and very clean. I would definitely recommend LS1 boilers.
Brilliant service from beginning to…
Brilliant service from beginning to end!! I was hesitant at first to use this company due to bad experiences with other tradesmen websites. But I completely made the right decision. From the beginning Indy was great He explained which boiler I need and how the boiler installation would take place and any questions I asked he answered honestly. … installation time - the work was done professionally and no mess left behind. I was then shown how to use the boiler. Will be using this company again when needed and will definitely recommend to friends and family

Great service
Replaced my boiler after multiple issues with my old one. LS1 Boilers were extremely helpful and responsive, could book within a few days to do the work. The service guys are always very respectful and tidy and the ladies answering my calls are always helpful and knowledgeable as well. Overall, fantastic experience with them and will continue to use for regular boiler service.

I had a really great experience getting a new boiler with LS1 Boilers. I recently moved house and found the water pressure and old boiler to be a problem. I didn't know how to resolve it. I spoke to Indy who was really great at presenting me with options and also arranged for an engineer to come past and let me know what type of work was needed. Then we had the engineer Connor and in for two days doing the work. Connor was really accomodating and professional. He was great at informing us what was happening and the work was done quickly and to a very high standard. He went over and above and we are so grateful.
If you are looking for someone to replace your boiler. I reccomend LS1. Thank you Indy and Connor.
