You won't be able to cancel

this company makes it very difficult to cancel the programs. They don't answer the phone number and when you try to ask for an email, they say they can't access email at this time. Don't trust them with your $$$

update: they contacted me and credited my card. Seems like they are trying hard to make up for past mistakes. The games were fun just didn't want to do them.

STAY AWAY FROM LUMOSITY

This company has been sued SUCCESSFULLY several times. If you join their "subscription" they make it EXTEMELY difficult to cancel much less ask for a refund. I have been dealing with a robot for several weeks attempting to get my account closed. They tell me I have no account yet they continue to charge me $106.55 for a subscription then refuse to issue a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS "SERVICE". A COMPLETE FRAUD

Disappointed

We were on auto renewal. I have canceled that and will not be renewing Lumosity. We received no notice of the yearly price nearly doubling. I have requested a copy of the email that I was told I received that explained the changes, but so far, no response.
I do not see any changes to the program. We are still getting the same games that we have been getting for 2 years now. For 10 days before my renewal was due, I was unable to get into the program. I did receive help over the phone to resolve that problem. I am very disappointed with Lumosity and do not think it is worth the money.

Sneaky subscription practice imo

I made an error regarding subscription. I choose “Premium” but I meant to choose “Premium”. Yes I know it’s the same name but the difference is that one is a monthly subscription & the other a yearly. Apparently I clicked the wrong box even though I would swear blind I checked the correct box. But I have no proof. I would recommend anyone subscribing to LUMINOSITY to take a screen shot of their choice.
I didn’t see their email since it had gone into my spam box . The first I saw they had charged me was on my bank statement (£99.99). On the day it was charged I emailed them and over a week I emailed them on 3 occasions & and have had zero response, not even an acknowledgment! So on the my experience with their customer service I would suggest AVOID!
Regarding their App; well it is quirky, I quite enjoy the challenge of it. But some of the puzzles are faulty and based on my account requests, contacting them would be pointless.
On the basis of the reviews on TrustPilot it seems that my experience is very common. I certainly will like others not be renewing my subscription. It seems to me like thats Luminosity’s financial strategy. Overall once subscription expires I certainly will NEVER subscribe to LUMINOSITY again EVER.

The present Lumosity is much worse as it was several years ago!

I have used Lumosity several years ago and I liked it.I restarted now after a few years and now Lumosity is much different - in the worst way. At the payment you announce the system as Train , Memory and Attention and the Train does not appear, as most of the nice other games.
Also, the customer service does not exist!

Their Customer Service is horrible

Their Customer Service is horrible! I've been using the app for a few months with no problem, but I got a new phone, and now the app is saying I have limited access. I reached out to them, after 4 days they responded and gave me a new password, which never worked. I, again, reached out to them, yet, no answer. If I had known, I wouldn't have paid a year membership. I am definitely canceling my membership when it expires, since I can't use all the features, like I should be able to, since I paid Premium.

This is a scam

This is a scam - I clicked on an ad but quickly realised it was not for me. Then recorded endless marketing emails including one telling me I had subscribed for £180. Customer service is unresponsive, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Impossible to reach customer service on a refund.

Impossible to talk to a sale service rep. I accidentally subscribed after seeing a link for what looked like HQ Brain. So I in error subscribed to the wrong service. The luminosity website links to request a refund resulted in "write to us to request" but gave no address. i would recommend based on my experience that you look at a more customer friendly company.

I used to love this app

I used to love this app, but since the redesign I honestly can’t stand it. The old logo was so much better, and the illustrations, graphic style, and overall UI felt distinctive and well thought out. Now it looks generic, and on top of that my favourite games aren’t even there anymore.
I genuinely don’t understand why they would change something that worked so well. Thank goodness I still have my old iPad with the previous version installed, so I can keep using it because the new version just isn’t enjoyable, and the games feel boring now.

No stars from me

I would give it a zero star if I could. I have been using Luminosity for about 15 years now and have always been so happy with it. Recently for some reason it upgraded which I had been told was something you don't want to do but I couldn't stop it. The new version is awful and I am going to end my subscription. I know I am not alone in this but I can't understand why they would take something that worked so well and make it so awful. They do not deserve my custom.

Doesn't keep correct scoring.

I subscribed to the subscription version of lumosity. There is a game that I dislike (Pirate passage)_and so I just play it to sabotage and get it over with. For a while I've distrusted the scoring but when I was given a top score after sabotaging every game to get it over with and making no effort whatsoever and failing every time it gave me a new top score. I no longer trust lumosity and won't be renewing subscription.

Can't decide whether I like it or hate it)

When I first started using this app, it was like a miracle — I immediately wanted to subscribe. In general, the app is nice, I like it to keep my thinking sharp. Yet, with time, it became more boring. Besides, it would be great to be able to tag some games as least favorite and never have them suggested — I hate getting them in the daily training.

I've been 'playing' Lumocity for a year…

I've been 'playing' Lumocity for a year now, and have been impressed with how it has improved my maths, memory, speed at doing tasks - yes, some of thjs is down to getting used to the games, but even taking that into account, I'm really pleased with improvements.
Maths has been especially noticeable!
I recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their brain!

Praise for Lumosity

A month ago I wrote a scathing review of Lumosity for their lack of response over my issues about signing up for Premium but not being able to access it. However, I have now to say I take it all back, as after a bit more time I did hear from one of their operatives, Sarthak Khare, who has been really helpful and followed through with several emails to help me. He sorted the problem and I am now able to access all the content I wanted. I couldn't have had better service, in the end, and am now enjoying the app. Thank you.
