DO NOT buy any Mackie products

Throughout my extensive years as a musician, I have acquired numerous Mackie products over the years. Regrettably, my experiences have often been filled by encountering faulty units and encountering an array of persistent bugs and issues in many of their products. It is a disappointment that I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with Mackie as a company, particularly because of my recent encounter with the DLZ CREATOR, which represents the culmination of my dissatisfaction and problems.

My decision to purchase the DLZ CREATOR was influenced, in part, by the fervor generated by certain YouTube content creators, albeit with a discernible bias, albeit not universal. However, upon acquisition, I found myself once again ensnared in a regrettable scenario, characterized by a litany of shortcomings. Foremost among these is the unit's utilization of an outdated default date (March 8, 2023) for all recorded files, rendering updates unfeasible and resulting in significant organizational challenges.

Compounding matters, the DLZ CREATOR records all files within a single multitrack format, a configuration that proves cumbersome and impractical. Fortunately, my possession of Logic Pro X affords me the capability to extract individual tracks from this consolidated file.

Furthermore, the unit's reliance on the FAT32 file system imposes an arbitrary limitation, capping file sizes at 2.15GB. Consequently, lengthy recordings, such as hour-long podcasts, are fragmented across multiple files (4 files of 15 minutes each), needlessly complicating post-production processes.

Regrettably, my interaction with Mackie's customer support further exacerbated my dissatisfaction. The attendant's demeanor was characterized by rudeness and a lack of care, compounding the frustration of an already disheartened customer.

In light of these deficiencies, I find Mackie's product offerings to be subpar. Notably, my positive experiences with RODEcaster Pro 2 units stand in stark contrast. Reflecting on my decision to establish a business in Spain, I am grateful for limiting my investment to a single DLZ CREATOR and just avoiding further dissatisfaction.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing the DLZ CREATOR or, in my estimation, any Mackie product, given their propensity to exhibit issues akin to those encountered with my Monitor Controller, MCU Pro, and Onyx16 mixer.

It is a shame that a post will have to be made about this for an audience of thousands of followers on Instagram, rarely do I rant or show any dissatisfaction towards any company on social media platforms.

I am so Glad RODE acquired MACKIE...maybe from here on now things may change.

Mackie's Customer Support is a freaking JOKE!

Mackie's Customer Support by phone has become absolutely god-awful! I've tried to reach someone there at ALL of their published telephone numbers, on multiple occasions, and I'm placed on-hold for 10-20 minutes, listening to a greeting stating that I'm #1 or #2 in-line for support, and then BAM, after waiting a half-hour for nothing, I'm told that no one is available and to leave a voicemail. Just lovely! Talk about "un"-professional clowns? It happened to us for 5 straight days, and no one ever returned our calls or voicemails. They've become a freaking joke! I will NEVER consider or buy another Mackie product, and I'll gladly share my views with countless others in the industry.

SRM350 PA Speakers

I bought a pair of (expensive) Mackie SRM350 powered PA speakers - the magazine reviews sounded good and I thought Mackie was a good company. The reality though was 18 months after I bought them they started to fail. First one stopped working altogether and required a new power supply board, then the other failed, and now one has failed again. Mackie seem to cover the PCBs in some gunk which makes repairs costly and time consuming. I would never, ever, buy anything from Mackie ever again.

Mackie MP-220 BTA Bluetooth In-Ear…

Mackie MP-220 BTA Bluetooth In-Ear Monitors

They are absolutely terrible and a waste of money!!! They distort at low levels and u can hardly hear them. I tried a few different platforms all the same and even used them wired up with same results terrible sound quality and low level distortion. They are not a professional item and are not fit for purpose.

I contacted the shop I brought them from via email as these were ordered online. I’d rather keep my communication via a digital format also this is my preferred method of communication as I find telephone calls difficult. I’ve been in able to return these so stuck with them
