Bought a sling bag
Bought a sling bag. It broke after two weeks. Of course they dont do mony back or refund for other items. No, only option is to pay for your own shipping costs (europe to canada) and receive the same (terrible) bag.
I would suggest to never buy anything fron this store. They are not even "green" anymore
Purchase still not arrived over 3 weeks later
Ordered a bag on the 8th March for a birthday present on the 28th. It's still not arrived. Allegedly it was dispatched on the 19th, but customer service is AWOL and the royal mail tracking number suggests they have still not received it. I will also be taking this up with my credit card company.
Cheap looking poor quality item
Had previously bought bags in store at John Lewis and quality and durability was good. Ordered a Salo Crossbody online. Horrible and cheap looking. Looks like its come from a pound shop or street market. Can't even return it is it says sale items are non returnable in the small print. Just wasted £50 with postage. Will never order from them again.

Matt & Nat is a fraud
On the 8th of november 2025 I purchased one pair of "Livia Women's Vegan Mid Heel Boots" and the heel came unglued from the boot on the first day of use! Matt and Nat is selling plastic shoes "made in China", advertising it as "luxury vegan shoes" and then selling it for huge amounts of money. Don't buy from Matt & Nat
I’m very disappointed with these boots…
I’m very disappointed with these boots from Matt & Nat. After only one month of normal use, the boots look completely different from when I bought them. The material has already developed many cracks, and the overall appearance is worn out and damaged.
For a brand that charges premium prices, I expected much better durability and quality. Unfortunately, the material feels very cheap, and it clearly does not last.
I would not recommend these boots at all. The quality does not match the price.

A Masterclass in How Not to Sell Something
I recently had the extraordinary experience of purchasing a product that never actually arrived, which I can only assume is part of a bold new minimalist retail concept: selling absence.
The company accepted my payment immediately and with impressive efficiency. From that moment on, however, their enthusiasm for completing the transaction appeared to evaporate entirely. Instead of receiving the item I ordered, I received something else. Something unrelated. Something that bore the same relationship to my original purchase as a toaster does to foreign policy.
What followed was even more impressive.
Not only did the correct item fail to appear, but I was also required to package up their mistake myself, print labels, and arrange collection, thereby becoming an unpaid employee in their error-management division. It is rare these days to encounter a business so committed to outsourcing its responsibilities directly onto its customers.
So, to summarise the experience:
• They took my money promptly.
• They did not send the product.
• They sent the wrong item instead.
• They required me to spend my time fixing their mistake.
• And at no point did any of this appear to surprise them.
If you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to fund a product that exists only as a theoretical concept, while simultaneously performing free administrative work for the company that failed to supply it, this is the retailer for you.
Otherwise, I would recommend purchasing from a business that subscribes to the more traditional model of sending customers the thing they paid for.
One star, awarded purely for their remarkable consistency in not delivering what was promised.
No Sign of Refund yet!!!
I had returned a product ordered from Matt & Natt. They don't provide a free return and so I had sent the item using Royal Mail Tracked Service. Its been 3 weeks since the item was delivered and there is no sign of any acknowledgement or refund so far.
Given my experience for returning the item, I would be wary of buying anything again from their online store.
Protracted refund process
My original one star review is below. I've since contacted Matt & Nat again and received notification that my refund is in process and an apology. I will update this review again should the refund not go through.
I tried to cancel a recent order when I read about how the quality of Matt & Nat products had gone downhill in recent years. Customer services advised I refuse the parcel and I would be refunded within 2 weeks of its return.
I did exactly that and have proof of return via Royal Mail tracking however it's been 3 weeks and I haven't been refunded.
I've emailed to enquire about this and haven't received a reply within their 4 day reply window.
I've also sent a message via the website that has not been responded to.
I will now be taking this up with my credit card company.
Disappointed and out of pocket
I am very disappointed in MATT &NAT who sent me a brown bag when I ordered black - in November 2025. I returned it right away but I still haven’t had a refund.
I received a defective item
I received a defective item. I have emailed them MULTIPLE times and the only response that I received, didn't directly address the issue. It seemed like someone who didn't comprehend English sent the email. In the meantime, the only way for me to get a refund is to pay a $12 return fee to mail back a damaged , unusable item, that's fairly low quality, in the first place.
On time and unscathed!

Package has not arrived after 13 days (7 business days). Tracking number provided is not valid.
I am in love with their products
Junk product
The crossbody purse I received was a piece of junk - made in China garbage that you would find on Temu - and for that I paid 100 dollars with shipping . I am all for supporting buy Canadian but some companies are not worthy of our dollars.
Stay away from this scam - oh I mean Canadian company.
Poor after sales service and product quality
I contacted customer service about issues with my briefcase's shoulder strap and was brushed away both times. They wouldn't even allow me to purchase a new strap (which became unusable within 14 months), and told me to donate the bag...
Matt & Nat “vegan - Extremely Poor Quality and Zero Accountability…
I purchased a pair of Matt & Nat “vegan leather” boots and wore them literally four times. Within a year, the material started peeling off everywhere. For a brand that claims to be sustainable and environmentally friendly, this was incredibly disappointing.
The quality is so poor that the boots are now completely unusable and will end up in the dump, which is the opposite of sustainability. If a product can’t even withstand a handful of wears, it should not be manufactured or marketed as eco-friendly.
I reached out to Matt & Nat customer service expecting accountability, but they did not take responsibility for the defective product. The lack of support shows that they do not stand behind their quality claims.
Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating. I would not recommend Matt & Nat to anyone looking for durable, ethical, or truly sustainable footwear.
One of the worst quality airpods case i…
One of the worst quality airpods case i have ever bought this expensive. I spent about 30£ quid for their LETRA airpods case. It didn’t even lasted three months. All the stitching is just a design its sticked with glue which came off. Never used them rough never got close to water and still it’s falling apart. The leather texture starts turning white within a week. Very bad quality for 30 quid.
Mind the Straps! Think x2 about buying
I have purchased several items from the company and want to register my surprise and disappointment at a recent customer service experience. A while back, l bought a briefcase, lovely looking olive coloured one with handles and a shoulder strap.l had not overloaded it but found that the shoulder strap kept detaching its retaining pins and is currently unusable. As l am temporarily on crutches after a leg operation, carrying it is now out of the question. Matt and Nat’s response? We don’t sell straps separately. So l said, surely this is a quality issue? They have not even bothered to reply. My advice would be, MIND THE STRAP! Think twice before you buy.
Matt and Nat have lost a loyal customer
I have just had one of the worst experiences with customer service in my life . I have been a customer of Matt and Nat's for years and, until now, have never had any trouble with the company. This time it was different, however. To make a long story short, I ordered two bags from Matt and Nat but only one was sent to me. When I alerted customer service of this (and it took several attempts to get any response from them) I was told that both bags were posted and as far as they were concerned the matter was settled. I am left feeling angry and frustrated as I paid for a bag I am apparently never going to receive. I certainly won't be using Matt and Nat ever again.
