Looking back
Looking back, I realize the warning signs were there from the beginning, but I chose to ignore them because the platform told me lies disguised as truth. It promised guaranteed returns on USDT deposits through a sophisticated DeFi strategy that supposedly eliminated risk, and the website was designed to look like a legitimate financial institution, complete with regulatory badges, audit claims, and a live dashboard showing my balance growing every day. I started small, and over time I convinced myself I had found something rare, eventually tying up most of my savings into it.
The illusion held until I tried to withdraw. My account was suddenly under review, and I was told I needed to pay a series of fees to proceed. Each payment unlocked nothing but another request, and the support team became impossible to reach. There was never any trading, never any strategy, and never any returns.
At that point, i started digging anf digging, then i eventually engaged XDC Network Forensics, they used blockchain intelligence to trace the funds and initiate a withdrawal for me. I recovered my funds with professional help, but the real victory was the shift in how I think about money and risk. If something sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.
