Medhair Clinic - Haartransplantation Türkei Reviews 

I had my transplantation 10 days ago, so I can't tell something about the result. But here's a pros and cons list:

+ Nice team
+ Friendly translator
+ Good price
+ Clean clinic
+ Nice hotel
+ Good service in Istanbul
+ Operation seemed to be professional

- Transfer at the aiport wasn't waiting for me (had to call and wait)
- Didn't get the treatment that was written in the offer: 4000 instead of 4500 grafts, just the front of the head was made, not the tonsur / back of the head (they explained it but it was still disappointing and not what I went to Istanbul for)
- They said that the donor area doesn't offer more grafts but then later said I could do a second operation
- Got contacted by 6 different numbers for different things and most of them didn't reply later
- There was no proper hair scan
- The doctor showed up for drawing the hair line and then came back 2 times for a few seconds, the rest was done by the team

Overall 4 / 5 stars.

I did it, and in hindsight it was the right choice. I initially compared many offers, and in the end the customer reviews I read were spot-on: Medhair treats you very personal and warm-hearted, you never feel mass market, you always have a person to talk to.

The day of the procedure was well organized, the location was part of a local hospital. In fact, the local head of anaesthesia was involved and seemed highly competent following trustworthy routine.

Before I traveled to Istanbul, I got an all-including offer, and when the number of grafts rose considerably on the day of the procedure from 3500 to 4600, there were no extra charges.

The procedure itself was not exactly pleasant, obviously it is a long day. However, I felt in safe hands, with good analgesia, and there was always someone around speaking my native language. The team that worked on me seemed highly professional and personally engaged.

So both medically and from the organizational side, MedHair was always fully transparent with no surprises or hidden fees.

Now the procedure has been 4 weeks ago, and I can already see more hair than I probably ever had before, albeit still short of course.

In summary, initially I was reluctant but in hindsight MedHair made this a worry-free endeavor with airport transfer, hotel, and a well done procedure. Thank you so much.

I discovered MedHair Clinic because they actively market their hair restoration services to seropositive people, explicitly promising no discrimination and a fixed price of €1990. Before booking, I fully disclosed my undetectable seropositive status. Their representative confirmed it was "not a problem." Trusting their word, I purchased a non-refundable flight ticket to Istanbul for $598.93.
Days before my departure, after I was financially committed, the clinic demanded an additional €800, directly citing my seropositive status as the reason. This was a discriminatory surcharge that contradicted their public promises and our prior agreement.
When I objected, they offered a full refund for my flight costs. I accepted. Then, they began a relentless and inappropriate pursuit of my private flight data (my PNR), claiming it was needed for a refund, a transparently false pretext. I refused to provide it, and the promised refund never arrived. Only after I posted a public review did their CEO contact me, but still, no refund has been issued.
My review was not an opinion; it is a documented factual account of discrimination, bad faith, and an attempted financial and data extraction. The evidence is clear and speaks for itself. Exhibits available.

Positives:
Comfortable Transfers: The pickup and drop-off service from the airport was extremely convenient and made the entire process stress‑free.
Great Hotel Stay: The hotel (Marriot) provided was amazing—very comfortable and located close to the hospital, which made the whole experience smoother.
Competent Medical Team: The team handling my procedure was highly competent. They explained every step in detail and took excellent care of me throughout the day. Even after five days, my donor area feels good, with no complications. They also did a great job extracting grafts uniformly, which I really appreciate.
Promising Results: The transplanted area looks good. Now, I’m just excited to see the final results over the next months.

Area for Improvement:

Although the team taking care of me during the procedure was excellent, I only got to meet Dr. Vedat Tosun the day after my transplantation. Since he is the main doctor, it would have been reassuring to have a consultation with him beforehand.

Overall:
I am satisfied with the experience so far—professional service, comfortable arrangements, and a skilled team. I’m looking forward to seeing the long‑term results.

I had a very pleasant experience with medhair.They recieved me in the airport and took me to the hotel which was very nice and comfortable hotel.
The next day I was taken to the clinic which I was recieved by a very nice and friendly gentleman who's name is Berkay who helped me through the whole process. After that the medical team recieved me also with a very smiling face.My hair transplantation went very smoothly and then they took me back to my hotel.The next I went back for a control checkup. The whole experience was comfortable and satisfying. I would say special thanks to the young gentleman who's name was Berkay who helped me through the whole process.

I was particularly impressed with the availability of Medhair to discuss my procedure at great depth right from the word go. The services in the offer presented by the team during our discussions were delivered to the letter; right from airport pick-up and drop-off to hotel transfer, operation and finally post-care guidance. Job well done.

One area of improvement would have to be with the pre-medical checks. No information is provided to the patient in the aftermath of the check/test. Fortunately, I had a pre-medical in my home country before the procedure meaning it was not much of an issue in my case. This should however be run through with the patient before the procedure begins.

Other than this, staff were extremely friendly and professional in every way. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Medhair and would recommend them. They know what they are doing and look out for the best results for you.

The experience was great and they work in professional way.

I went there two times, first one was okay... second one I really regret. They even woudn't give me a bill - y'all prolly know why.

I had to pay in cash and had to pay a big fee when using the ATM as i needed like 300,- more.

The examination/analysis was very quick both times and u can't really say anything about your thoughts/expectations and so on.

The doctors don't do the work, their personal does it.
I was told he/she watches in another room. they don't pop up and check or communicate with their personal in this time.

Details from the second one:

The analysis even more brief, the procedure was only 2-3 hours compared to the first one (6 hours) but cost like 200 more. This resulted in insufficient amount "hair roots" and therefore insufficient denseness.

Did get two almost bald spots on the side of my head and I'll need a third one to cover the bad work from the second one.

I wish I went somewhere else.
