Fantastic local company. Would recommend.
We've been renovating our house and as a consequence have had no heating. We decided to have a woodburning stove installed in the meantime, and as we'd previously been given a quote by Medway Stoves we went back to them on the 18th November 2017.
They very kindly agreed to keep to our original quote even though several months had passed, and said they'd be able to do a quick site check on Monday 20th November 2017 and fit the following Monday (27th Nov), as we were desperate to have heating before Christmas.
They were very friendly and knowledgeable and Rachel, who works in the office, is very helpful. They came on the 20th and whilst they were carrying out the site survey the office rang and said that they wouldn't be able to get hold of the stove we'd chosen until the New Year as it was an 8 week lead time. They offered an alternative, but that was still a 2 week wait, which was no good for us as we didn't have any form of heating and really couldn't wait any longer.
After a chat about how we could solve this issue they very kindly offered to loan us a stove until our original one was delivered, so that we'd have some kind of heating over the holidays.
In my opinion, this was a very generous and kind offer, and really shows how much they value their customers. They very fairly only charged us for the extra time involved in removing the loaned stove when they came to refit our proper stove, which was nominal.
They came on the 27th November 2017 as planned and fitted the loaned stove. They were extremely tidy, took all their own rubbish with them and swept up after themselves. They were also very friendly and took pride in their work, and answered all my questions about how to get the best from the stove.
When our actual stove was delivered in the New Year they phoned us and were able to book us in within a week. They then came to fit the new stove and take the loaned one back. Again they were very friendly, tidy and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I've since phoned with queries and questions about how to use the stove, etc, and they've always been very helpful and pleasant in answering my questions, and even coming back out to check something out for me.
In short, they are a great, reliable local company and I would definitely recommend them.
