Went to Mekonomen in Häggivk to discuss scheduled maintenance for my car and make an appointment. The most important thing that needed to be done was to replace the rear wheel brake pads. I even supplied the new brake pads and placed them on the center console next to the drivers seat. I then checked with the service manager to ensure he knew where the brake pads were. When I picked up the car I was told the brake pads needed to be replaced. The person at the desk called the service manager who told him "we missed that" and that they could not replace the pads today because there was no time slots available. The entire time, the person to whom I was speaking to kept saying "it is not my problem". Don't go to Mekonomen in Häggvik and maybe nowhere in Sweden. I will never go there again.

I took my car here for a basic oil change, and it was a horrible experience. The mechanics caused the engine to lose oil pressure. When I towed the car back, they refused to take responsibility, blaming the issue on the car being old and breaking down on its own.

I had to tow it to another garage, where the mechanic quickly identified an error with the oil filter replacement and fixed the car in one day. I ultimately had to take legal action against this shop just to get my money refunded.

Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

I went there twice (different garage in Stockholm).
The second time I requested a change of brake fluid and new rear brake pads... Well the price was extremely expensive but I though that it was because of Sweden and it was to ensure a quality service... I was wrong. I had to go to another garage as Mekonomen told me I was very low on engine oil (my car signaled it anyway so I was aware). that other garage (with recording as a proof) found out that the oil was not changed and that not even one liter was put (what I was supposed to have). The level was critical. for a total cost nearly 6000sek, I would have expected a proper job done. They put it as a service so according to my car computer I was good to go. This was dangerous for me, for the car and also not honest of them.
I learned my lesson, a chain and pricy does not mean quality.

...l had my car on service (which was terribly expensive, of course...) and then your "experts" found 'faults' which would cost about 7000 kr to fix. l said, NO, because l knew it was a lie, (that was 7 years ago) and the car is still fine, (no remarks on a technical)...a scumbag company. Non of those that l know goes to mekonomen

Please dont ever use mekonomen in Hässleholm. They tried to cheat me. They said that my generator was faulty and they wanted 19000 sek to fix it. I brought the car back to Denmark and fixed it myself for 800 sek. It was a faulty tensioner to the belt. I had to pay 1200sek for Them to tell Me that it was the generator that was the problem. But it was not!!! Do yourself a favour and get at second opinion 🙏🏻

Order confirmation came without a tracking nr. 'For questions about your order, contact the delivery company' it said in the E-mail. How do I do that without tracking nr.? No contact possibilities were given for questions about my order. The only E-mail address I found Googling is an 'e-handel' E-mail address. The automated response gave me a link to a Microsoft website where you need to log in (GitHub account). When I called the e-handel tel.nr. the computer tells me they will call me back. They did not! The delivery time given was 1 to 2 days, now it's 1 week and I received no information whatsoever and it is impossible to get any. I don't even know how to get my money back.
How is this company still alive!

Trash company trash triple prices trash people trash waiting times. Forget about going in this trashcane company ABSOLUTELY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS

Best service shop, down to Earth personell and verkstad service. Good listeners who deliver top notch repairs. My issue was urgent, they were fully booked but managed to get a service slot the same day at Hornyxgatan Malmö.

The online booking system is awful. Even when you think that you've succeeded all that you have done is made an application for a time that they need to respond to. And its not like they try to reach you in time for that time that you've applied for.

And the personnel in their store manage to be both unhelpful and unkind at the same time.

brought my car in to be fixed by Mekonomen in Linköping. They kept the car for 3 days, fixed absolutely nothing, then charged me 3,500kr. they were not even ashamed about it. they just said "WeLL wE DiD aLoT of WoRk oN Da cAr"

This was almost a year ago and I am still shocked by it. that is the reason i am leaving this review

Requires your PNR but dosent state why, only that its "used" or what I deduct, sold.

I am in need of parts which Mekonom had, and since they had "member" prices which were 10-15 sek lower I checked it out.

To get the Member prices you need to register and account with your cellphone AND your PNR. This ticks all my alarmbells, especially since reading their EULA they do not mention what PNR is used for.

But they do mention that they will sell personal information and it will be used for marketing and "verifying" membership by a 3rd party company.

On top of this Mekonomen states that all your member infofmation is being handled by a 3rd party which is not disclosed.

Mekonomen has just bu the above mentioned facts shown how they have turn scummy, greedy and probably fradulent by not declaring multiple GDPR related usages.

p.s 2 stars for how nice the physical store employees (note, note workshop) has treated me during in time of need.

Everyone should avoid "Mekonomen in märtavägen 9 Kungsängen". I did servise With them and The oil Liked Out next Day. I Was stranded on high way as a result of thier inexperience.

OMG! so greedy for money
if you can avoid it - do it . Service for start/stop service cost more than 10 000 SEK ! and 5 days without a car

Our daughter got stranded on holidays with our VW T4 diesel camper and went to Mekonomen garage. They took a look at it and stated that the cam/distribution belt had broken and an engine replacement was an option because of probable damage to valves and/or pistons. Our Dutch garage said it might just be the injection timing belt and said the one on the right hand side as seen from the front was the latter which was confirmed by our daughter. Ekonomen kept insisting it was the cam belt so we decided to have it shipped home at great cost where it turned out to only be the injection timing belt which set us back a mere €380,-
Makes one wonder....

Very expensive and unprofessional. They unfixed my windshield wipers and charged me for it but had no new ones for me. I had to get it by myself and drive around with no wipers at all in Swedish winter.

Absolutely worse experience!
The webshop does not handle requests for month. More than two months and my refund is still not processed. Customer service at another level of disappointment. Don't recommend it at all

Scam or highly unqualified- possibly both.
Took my car in for rear brake fix, get call- rear and front needs change. 13000 sek
Turn to local joint, they check it out- no prob whatsoever with front brakes. Cost 4800.
Do not support these scums.
This was the Lidingö garage, I will make a point to steer clear of them all, including their stores.

Very very bad repair company.
I took my Toyota yaris there and he told me it was the clutch.
He didn't even bother to call except I call him, even after calling he will tell me that he will call me back to update me. If I don't call back, he won't.
Now after repairing the clutch, he said its still not working that he will take it to Toyota for coding. I waited another 1 week but no call from the guy.
When I later called, he said Toyota said the problem was the coding that the transmission and actuator is bad.
At this point it was 3 weeks. I told him that I need my car back since it can't be repaired. He said I need to pay 1500€ for a car that can't be repaired! 1500€ for a car that is not working!
He said Toyota is charging 750€ for coding.
We went to Toyota, they said they didn't charge us a dime. We went back to him and he insisted that they change the coding system so we have to pay.
Imagine paying 1500€ for a car that is not working!!!!
AVOID AT ALL COST!

The worst workshop i have ever seen in my entire life. I mounted my tires and the alignment was so bad that i worried when i drove my Audi Q5 car over 100 km/h, though i drive it over 160 km/h very smooth. I filed a complain against it and it has been reviewing for over 10 days. They think it's a rocket Science :) I recommend keep yourself away from this workshop. I hope my comment will help someone to not waste your money and your precious car there.

Avoid at all costs Mekonomen, You will be overcharged by approximately 2-3 times the real cost of workmanship and materials.

Store In Lund but other shops Sweden wide will have the same directive from head office. scam at all costs.

3) Refusing to supply refund or reducing additional repair cost
4) Overcharging for repair time
5) Exceeding the quoted repair time needed by 2-4 times

NOW this is how you make value for shareholders.

Dear Mekonomen,

I have been a loyal customer of Mekonomen for 2 years now although the cost has been extortionate believing that this was for the better.

I started hearing a strange sound from the rear of the car and it was pretty easy to isolate it to the Brushnings of the rear absorbers. For this reason I went to Mekonomen and I asked a replacement brushnings (bushers/bushings) for the rear. The employee told me that you cannot change only the brushnings but one has to change the shock absorbers.
Trusting the employee and the experience of Mekonomen I agreed to the repair which came to 4500kr. In retrospect this is simply not true.

After collecting the car back the employee told me that the car needs a change of the rear bushings because the sound is still there. I hope you can understand my surprise when he told me that.
I then asked how much would the bushing change cost . And he quoted approximately an additional 600kr for the cost of the materials only.

I refused to pay the additional workmanship because the employee had made an error and recommended to me the wrong thing. So I brought the car for a separate appointment with the view to pay 600kr which is the cost of the brushnings only.

Well, the store manager of Lund said he acknowledged the error of the employee but he wanted to charge me an additional 3500kr for changing the brushnings. He refused to negotiate the price at all.

I am very upset and disappointed with Mekonomen in Lund as I have trusted them with all my repairs so far.

I would be very grateful if you could try to help to resolve the issue. I am willing to pay the cost of the brushnings but not the additional workmanship as this is clearly an error of the employee.
I was recommended to change things in the car that I did not ask to be changed.
