Today I went to Melanie Lyne coquitlam…
Today I went to Melanie Lyne coquitlam branch.Im their regular customer always had a nice experience. But today the shop attendant who started serving me was extremely rude and asked me I can only take 6 pieces in the try room although from my past experience all the clothes I chose were kept in the try room .then when I was looking at the pants sizes in display she came forward making sure I don’t ruin their setting and asked me very rudely which size I want .She gave so unfriendly vibe !whenever I go to melyine Lyn I always get top notch experience and that’s why I comeback to shop there
But today was a bad experience…I then didnt want to take her help and ask the other lady there to help me who has always been very active and sweet .
There was pure discrimination and I could feel it .
I will definitely try to avoid this branch if that lady is around
My community mailbox was broken into…
My community mailbox was broken into 1.5 hours after delivery of their merchandise. They were the owners of the delivery insurance. On the plus side, after 2 days they agreed to replace the item. However, the wording of the email admonished me for not going to the mailbox right after delivery, said this was a one off concession. No apology for the experience of being robbed, just an email blaming the victim.
Outdated return policy
Outdated return policy of 14-days.

Melanie Lyne will be another one that fades away. However, looking forward to their liquidation sale.
New return policy they have sucks
New return policy they have sucks. Can’t believe they are scamming people like this. Will never shop at this brand again. So mad right now
Terrible customer service and missed order delivery…
I ordered a blouse online on December 20 specifically to wear for a New Year’s party. At the time of purchase, shipping was advertised as 2–3 days, and my $112 was charged immediately.
After that, it was one delay after another:
December 24 → December 26 → December 29 → December 30.
By December 31, the blouse still hadn’t arrived.
I called customer service around noon on December 31 to request a refund, since the item was clearly not going to arrive in time and I had to buy something else. The response was incredibly dismissive. I was told they needed to “follow up with FedEx,” even though the timing was already irrelevant. No apology, no accountability, no concern for the inconvenience caused.
On January 2, I received an email saying the order was “on the way.” At that point, it was useless. Still no apology, no acknowledgment that they failed to deliver on their promise.
Charging customers immediately, missing delivery commitments, and offering zero empathy or solutions is unacceptable—especially for a brand at this price point. This experience showed a complete lack of respect for customers’ time and money.
I will not be ordering from Melanie Lyne again.
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE I received a toque for Christmas from Melanie Lyne. I don’t like the oattern on it and wanted to exchange it for a plainer one. Unworn. Tags still attached. Two days after Christmas. Have a gift receipt. Store refused to let me exchange it as it is a “personal item” despite toques not being listed on the receipt as an item that can’t be returned and despite issuing a gift receipt. I am furious. My husband is upset that he bought a gift for me thinking it could be exchanged if it wasnt right I spend thousands of dollars in that store every year. No more. If you want to lose a long time customer over a hat, so be it. There are many more places I can spend my money. #MelanieLyne

I worked for Melanie lyne and was treated horrible. I wrote the company and was dismissed. This is how a big company treats employees
Terrible Customer Service and Store Policies
I received a damaged coat and was told I couldn’t be refunded to my original method of payment, so they issued me a gift card instead. I used that gift card to purchase two items. I kept one, assuming the gift card had been applied to it and that the refund for the other item went back to my credit card. Nope — I was charged on my credit card and refunded onto another gift card.
Believing I still had a balance left (and after being given incorrect information by a sales associate), I made another purchase using the supposed remaining amount. When I realized how confusing and shady this refund process was, I called customer service to ask if I could return the recent purchases and get my money back — but they refused and wouldn’t even escalate my concern to a higher department.
Terrible customer service, and the clothing is overpriced and mostly cheap polyester. I’ll never shop here again.
Returning item
I tried to return a clothing item
unworn and with tags still attached. I was emailed back stating they would not take the item back and not deliver me a return voucher. They have a strict return policy which is 21 days, which makes it very difficult as this is a gift item. I was offered zero leniency. Going forward I will not order from them again as their competition has much more gracious return policies. I haven’t come across this before and I order a lot of clothing online. Being in the customer service business, they can’t afford to be showing a lack of care and concern for the satisfaction of their customers. Stay away from Melanie Lyne clothing store.
Outright Theft in my opinion
I went in person to Hillcrest Mall to exchange 2 items I bought online on sale. They actually tried to charge me full price for the smaller sizes instead of the sale price!!! OUTRAGEOUS!
After shopping there for more than 20 years, I am done with them. Very bad policy and customer service.

They sold me a pre- worn shirt with make up on the collar and wouldn’t take it back. Tried to blame me but I don’t wear make up.
Money Stealers
i wish i had read the reviews before wasting money on $400 dress. I placed order in store and gave them my correct address, but lady at desk sent package to a wrong address and now Melanie is not ready to take responsibility. they literally said we have your money now go figure it out. they are telling me to go to that wrong address and get my package. I asked for manager but they said they don't have manager. been sending them emails but no response. call center people literally tells me go do whatever we are not doing anything to make it right. I am not even sure at this point how to get my money back form them for an item i have never received.
Do not ever buy any items from this…
Do not ever buy any items from this store. Worst online purchase policy. They don't take offer refunds or returns for online purchases.
Disgust
I have never been more disappointed with a retail experience than I was at Melanie Lyne in Cambridge. I have been a loyal customer of both Melanie Lyne and Laura for years, spending thousands of dollars without ever having an issue - until now. Unfortunately, this recent experience has completely changed that.
I purchased a beautiful $350+ jumpsuit for my daughter's wedding, along with $40 in alterations. I wore it once for just six hours. Wanting to preserve it properly, I followed the care instructions on the tag exactly. To my shock, after washing it as directed, the pink top portion of the jumpsuit turned to a dull beige. When I returned to the store, the manager essentially accused me of not following the care instructions - stating that I should have washed the top and bottom separately, and not even hung it to dry. She claimed pink would bleed into black and that this was somehow my fault. Seriously?
This was an expensive, carefully chosen outfit for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, and now it's ruined. To make matters worse, both the store and head office refused to take responsibility or offer a resolution. The lack of accountability and condescending attitude were incredibly frustrating and upsetting.
Sadly, I won't be shopping at Melanie Lyne or Laura again. A loyal customer lost over a $390 purchase that should never had ended this way.
Online sizing tool incorrect
Ordered all the wrong sizes because I’ve never shopped from there before and used their online size tool, some were final sale and one item I accidentally ordered two of and they wouldn’t return it, I spent over $400, expected some sort of exception.
Sold a stained used item.
If I could give this place a negative rating, I would.
Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I ordered a dress for a wedding, and while it arrived in a garment bag, that’s where the good experience ended. As soon as I opened it to try it on, I noticed stains on the arms and another area. Even worse, the price tag had been cut off, which made me feel like I was sent a returned or used item.
I immediately contacted customer service and spoke to Chrystabel, who asked me to send photos — which I did right away. She apologized but said the best they could offer was store credit. That is completely unacceptable. I didn’t pay for a stained, possibly returned dress, and I certainly didn’t agree to store credit as a resolution.
I asked to speak with a senior manager and was flatly denied any contact information. The level of disrespect and lack of accountability is beyond frustrating.
Given how poorly they treat paying customers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business eventually. I will never shop here again — and I’d strongly caution others against it.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
I buy from Melanie Lyne regularly. I bought a beautiful mother of the bride dress there last year, 2 pairs of formal pants in the past year.
Until last week. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! EVEN FROM HEAD OFFICE MANAGEMENT. If you have a complaint, don't waste your time. 4 phone calls, 2 emails, no response. And when they did respond, it was ATROCIOUS.
I bought a pair of denim pants. $90. They were too big - sizing problem. Wore them once, removed the tag (oops - note they will NOT accept them under circumstances (so much for customer loyalty).
Then I washed them by the tag instructions. They faded a little and were so wrinkled, it took 20 minutes to iron them. That's TEMU quality, not a $90 pair of jeans. But washing them, was how I found out they are A CHEAP PAIR OF JEANS. I told them that the ironing was too much for this price, and they did not care - all they could muster up.
4 phone calls to their CSR - constant follow up, plus 2 emails -more follow-up. No manager would call me, even when I asked for times.
No answer, no offers, no nothing. A complete waste of my time.
T
No, they do not care about you.
Worst experience
Worst experience, what happened to be my Favorite GO to Store is the worst disappointment. Buying online, you cant get refund only Gift card even on full price item . Final sales you get stuck with if there Size changes. Once my Refund gift card is done, never buying again from Laura or ML
Don't purchase online from Melanie…
Don't purchase online from Melanie Lynn. I bought two pairs of pants (the same style, different colours) on the final sale, but they look nothing like the photo on their website - they are horrible, and I doubt they want them back because anyone who physically went into a store would not have purchased them. I was under the impression that they could be returned for a gift card. Although they were on sale, they were not cheap. I called the customer service number given to me by the store clerk when I tried to return them in-store. The person from customer service was very difficult to understand and just kept repeating the same thing.
I've purchased from Melanie Lynn and Laura's in person and online for years. I will never purchase online from either again.
I shopped at the CrossIron store
I shopped at the CrossIron store. The sales lady was amazing, very helpful and friendly. However, the sweater I bought literally fell apart after 1 wear. The sweater has 2 large rips in the front, 1 rip in the back. I wore it for maybe 5 hours total. I was sooo disappointed- it was not cheap, but alas cheaply made I guess. I left an honest review on their website, but they did not post it. The only reviews they seem to post are positive 5 star reviews. Misleading and dishonest.
