Met Joshua at the Expat Curry club event. He is extremely knowledgeable on various topics that help expats in Malaysia. I personally received great information from Josua on Malaysian taxation rules related to investing in the US stock market. This piece of advise has changed my investment strategy from investing from India where they tax both capital gains and dividend income to investing from Malaysia where there is no capital gains tax. Joshua also provided required documents to file to claim benefits.

No hard-sell of any one idea, platform, or investment strategy, and our advisor has been quick to backtrack or move ahead to find solutions that fit our actual financial position, and our desire to safeguard capital without resorting to stuffing it into our mattress.
No belittling of some of our sillier ideas, but taking a hard look at the ideas and agreeing or disagreeing with politeness and serious alternatives if the initial idea was indeed silly.
Overall, we are very happy with our advisor, with management of our portfolio, and with the fees.
Many say you get what you pay for, and we feel we have received far more value from our payments than we would have with a "cheaper" option.
We feel a fee-based advisor arrangement benefits both sides - no pushing of the highest return to the advisor at the expense of the client, nor touting solutions that might be of more benefit to Melbourne, but not for us.
In short, we have received accurate, effective advice, had fun during consultations, and learned a lot. Our advisor also went the extra kilometres to resolve some sticky financial questions he could easily have said were not within his bailiwick, nor within his obligations.
This is what makes a company and an advisor very worth having a serious relationship with.

Had another face to face meeting with Jamie to discuss my investment performance to-date (performing well!) I had several queries regarding where to allocate other funds, Jamie gave me more excellent advice and clarified everything that I was unsure of. Jamie is always available to help either online or face to face at the MCG office. Still very happy I made the move to MCG.

Been working with Neil Walters for several months now (as of Feb '24) and have found him to be knowledgeable and transparent while also open to ideas and will listen to you.
