Basically a scam

Okay so first of all, the next button doesn't work 95% of the time. Also, the smart book reading questions haven't been updated in years despite being super flawed. The questions are often vague and require you to memorize lines from the textbook. Even if you know the subject really well, they base the smart book reading entirely off the language used in their textbook. And that's still better than their other assignments. Because when it comes to "labs" or those stupid interactive activities, it isn't even based off the textbook. Not only are the questions really vague for no reason, but they also cover material that's not in the textbook and often contradict it. Just a terrible scam company that doesn't even update their software. Would give negative stars if I could. It's made my classes a miserable experience.

This is genuinely terrible

This is genuinely terrible. says it's going to take an hour. takes a minimum of 3 each time.
Text is so confusing to read, they couldn't write it in a worse way. I cannot tell you anything that I have learnt from this website. I only do it as my lazy lecturer sets it as a percentage of my module for credits. It's a complete waste of time

Tedious experience overall

Using McGraw-Hill connect to complete university courses is an abysmal experience. The questions are repetitive and spirit-crushing and rarely draw from the assigned material. I often find myself rushing through the program to complete it due to how unpleasant it is rather than trying to learn patiently. I don't enjoy this website and I regret spending money on it.

My school has purchased 2 subscriptions…

My school has purchased 2 subscriptions from them and I have purchased 1 myself. The content is great, however, the actual website itself sucks. Trying to login always takes some time because there are 2 different login sites and it seems I have to try both a few times before it decides to let me in. Also the customer service is abysmal, the people I have spoken to either do not know anything on how to assist or they treat you like an inconvenience for calling them. Plus there is no phone number for assistance only emails, which good luck trying to get a response on your purchase. The whole website needs to be upgraded or at least have customer support that will assist people in trying to navigate it.

Don't.

This has got to be by far the worst online education app I have ever seen. The assignments do not help you learn, are bumbling, and so many subjects force you to answer a buttload of questions to get a grade without actually TEACHING. If you get a question wrong, the program just goes "Incorrect" without actually TEACHING us why the question is wrong--oh and don't even get me started on the application assignments. Most unrealistic and time-consuming assignments on the planet. I really do not understand why universities continue to use this hogwash program.

This app is the worse thing ever made

This app is the worse thing ever made. It’s only used for evil, it’s ruined my life in every way. Ever since the start of this app being used in school my happiness has been stripped away. It doesn’t save my progress when I do assignments, I spend hours on. It opens a new tab every time I click a button. It slows down my computed to no end. It system for finding past work is egregious. This app is the worst app ever created, and I’m convinced it’s a trap made by government to make children go mad. This app is the root of all evil in this world and needs to be stopped, before it ruins more lives like it did mines. Teachers that use this app regularly also need to have their teaching licenses revoked, I’d rather off myself then do more McGraw Hill assignments.

McGraw Hill Tries but FAILS miserably

McGraw Hill Tries but FAILS miserably. The video lectures in the Managerial Accounting class can't even be understood by those who are hard of hearing. The one guy is fine but the women led ones are horrible. Forget the Financial Accounting ones as that professor doing the lectures is a straight bore. I cannot stand the long hours I spend doing the Learn Smart and I learn absolutely nothing as it takes so dang long (HOURS) to get through that I don't even want to read the book and just start pushing answers to get out of it. Nothing on the Learn Smarts are ever really on the tests. I am in Cost Accounting now and the book is complete crap. Again, I am learning nothing. There aren't enough examples and really bad videos. McGraw Hill could be effective if it found a better way. I took Accounting 3 times and had to pay triple for out of state. None of these classes make me want to do my degree now because they are so awful!!

I would NEVER use McGraw Hill again

I would NEVER use McGraw Hill again. I was unble to use my online workbook for half of the semester, due to the neglegance of McGraw Hill. That means I was finnaly able to access it online the WEEK before MIDTERMS! I spent many of my days and afternoons on the phone with McGraw hill which were unwilling to help with ANY issue. My professor also spent many hours on the phone with them! We eventually took it to my Uiversitys bookstore, and they were dealing with McGraw hill for almost a month. This is absolutly unacceptible, will never spent $200 on a usless program from McGraw Hill.

The worst experience I have ever had in education

Quite possibly the worst experience I have had in all of my years of education. It feels as if I learn absolutely nothing through what they offer, books are expensive and you don't even get to keep them, and the homework can be eyewatering sometimes with how frustrating it is to even try to complete some work. I wish this company would go under so I would never have to deal with them ever again.

Accessability issues

Online text won't let you copy it. I wanted to copy/paste definitions from the text into a flash card program to help me study, but they have an infuriating system that automatically blocks access to the text if you highlight anything. It's really just a lazy way to ensure you can't copy their books. I get it, but it has a huge negative impact on students. I can't recommend this company or their products to schools who want to support their students. I'm now stuck hand typing hundreds of flash cards and wasting potential study time due to this company's greed, and it has left a sour taste in my mouth towards my school for even selecting it.

Just terrible

Often does not accept correct answers, and the phrasing of the questions is confusing and horrible. I am excelling at all my other classes except the one that uses McGraw Hill Connect. Genuinely one of the most user-unfriendly, unintuitive softwares I have ever had the displeasure of working with.

A waist of space on the internet

I gave McGraw Hill one star because the way it structures assignments is completely misleading. It says there are 45 concepts to complete, but it ends up giving you around 180 questions that all cover the same material over and over, just slightly reworded. It feels less like learning and more like punishment by repetition. If that were the goal, then why not make us write the same sentence over and over like we chewed gum in elementary school?

There’s a difference between reinforcing concepts and dragging them out unnecessarily. Instead of focusing on understanding and moving forward, you’re stuck answering the same type of question four different ways. It wastes time without adding value.

If the platform were more honest about the workload and didn’t inflate assignments with repetitive questions, it would be far more manageable. As it stands, it turns what should be straightforward practice into an exhausting grind.

Horrible pendantic slop for material

Horrible pendantic slop for material. The textbooks were clearly written 20 years ago and have only been minorly updated by a half blind disabled monkey about once every two or three years to justify charging hundreds of dollars for out of date information
