MIRA POORLY MADE

I have carefully fitted several MIRA's showers, for couples and people living alone so not used as much as a family would use it. The thin casing's crack without being touched and screws barely tightened. They only last abour 5 years or so before going POP I won't use them again!

Misleading Warranty

I had a mira sport shower, the air jet button wasn't working, as it was still under warranty I contacted the company, when the technician came round he said that one of the srcrews holding the cover to the wall had been 'overtightened causing a microscopic crack in the cover, so the warranty was now invalid, he would not repair the jet button and said I had to pay £76 call out fee because the warranty was now invalid. They look for the tiniest thing to void the warranty just so they can charge an uneccessary fee. It's a total scam! I then had a professional look at the shower they said it was very likely that the mira technician damaged the cover by pulling it too hard to get the cover off!

Never Again

When I moved into my house in 2003, I was instantly impressed by the power shower that the previous owner had installed. Then it broke so I had to replace the thermostatic value inside the Mira Excel housing unit. 2 years later it broken again, so I replaced it. 2 years after that it broke again, so I replaced it. I'm now on my 5th spare part so counting down the next 2 years. Fundamentally the design of the value is flawed. When I first purchased the spare part it was c. £80 and over the last 12 years the RRP has risen to £178. Fortunately I can get the spare part from Shower Doctor for £130. I will get my shower completely upgraded in the next 2 years as I refuse to fix it again. BAD DESIGN. VERY EXPENSIVE.

MIRA 9.8kW Multi-Fit Shower

If you’re after a shower that doesn’t fit together properly and are happy to be spoken to like an idiot by an arrogant, patronising girl from MIRA's 'customer services’ department, then this is the shower for you.

Leaky shower? Not anymore!

We had a problem with a leaky shower fitting. Mira sent the replacement parts promptly — no questions. All they wanted was proof of purchase. It's great when companies really live up to their customer service claims.
