You can NOT paint anything
Like many others, I was influenced by Instagram claims that you can paint anything—but that’s far from the truth. I painted an IKEA cabinet made from solid wood and with sliding doors, carefully using their primer first and following all the instructions step by step. Despite that, the paint didn’t adhere to the plastic parts and the surface turned out to be extremely delicate—anything placed on it leaves marks or causes damage. After just a few days, the paint is already peeling in several spots. Really disappointing, especially considering the time and effort I put into it.
