We recently had Green Building Renewables install an air source heat pump, along with the necessary wider radiators. We are now enjoying the results- a comfortably warm house! From the start of the project, we were given helpful advice and a couple of visits were made in advance- their preparation was thorough and tailored to our particular site and requirements. The team, Dave and the other guys, who made the installation, arrived when arranged, worked quickly, cleanly and efficiently, communicated with us about what they were doing and then how we should use the new heating system. During the installation it was necessary that the old heating and hot water cylinder was removed, but they loaned up some electric oil heaters and made sure that we had a supply of hot water over those few days; we were very grateful for this.

I am leaving this review until our problem gets sorted.
The company were efficient at installing, and they said that they had great aftercare. We have had the solar for over a year and it’s currently not working anywhere near as well as it did last winter. It’s 70% less efficient.
We send an email a week to try and get the aftercare that we were promised and we just get replies saying ‘we are doing everything we can, but we are waiting for fox to get back to us on why it’s not working properly’

This has been going on for 5 weeks.

The last email got no reply.

I would honestly be wary going with these guys as we are paying for electricity and have been for over a month. The system isn’t working and there doesn’t seem to be anything happening at all.

few years ago I had Solar PV panels fitted to the roof of my house near York by the company now known as 21Degrees. (Formerly Green Buildings Renewables) The panels have been faultless since fitted and have saved me a small fortune in Electricity Bills. I have since invested in an electric car and charger I charge my car on our drive using the chargers Eco+ function. The Sun is converted by the Solar Panels into Electricity which charges my in house panels and my EV car. The company 21 Degrees are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.I can thoroughly recommend their services.

I have just received my EV charger commissing pack, letter dated 16 April 2024. I had to drive a round trip of 20 miles to collect it from my nearest sorting office as the postage was underpaid and that cost me £1.50. A year after my charger was installed.....
Why has it only been sent out recently and why with the wrong postage? After spending over £11,000 on solar panels and the charger I am more than a tad disappointed. Having to pay for fuel, time and Royal Mail costs to get this pack seeing a letter dated 11 months and 3 weeks ago simply adds insult to injury

In my experience, a complete and utter shower. One year ago what was supposed to be a 3-4 day ASHP installation left us without heating for 5 *weeks*, because "some plumbers have left the company", and then they were unable to source the necessary radiators. Now on ringing them for the first annual service, as required by my warranty, they are unable to give me a date, as "some engineers have left the company". They hope to put a plan together "within a few weeks" but are unable even to tell me when they might be able to provide a date. Unfortunately, I am obliged to get them to do the service, to maintain the 2 year warranty on their workmanship, and as some of the radiator pipework is decidedly dodgy, I'd like to maintain that if possible. I really can't recommend this company.

Oh, and they also forged my signature on a contract with Northern Powergrid, which I knew nothing about until contacted by the latter

We had solar panels and heat pump installed by Green building renewables (now renamed 21 degrees). Terrible service. Install was significantly late, with much turn over of personnel, and some installers not having the requisite knowledge. They had to send an engineer down who knew more but that further delayed the install. And now half a year later we still have not received all the expected paperwork. We tried to calling and emailing multiple times and we just kept getting fobbed off with promises they are looking into it. It nothing has materialised so far. This is very disappointing.

As self-builders, we decided to use a one-stop shop for all our renewables and feel so lucky we chose Green Building Renewables. Solar and batteries, ASHP and underfloor heating were all calculated based on our specific needs. Matt Cowley from the Daventry branch held our hand throughout the whole project, always available to discuss issues and offer advice and solutions. The team are all friendly, polite and professional. The result is a system which looks great and delivers. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Chris has been really helpful in advising us of the best solar panel system for us. The chaps that turned up to complete the work were on time, reliable and honest.
We’re really happy with the system and the service - we wouldn’t hesitate to contact Chris should we need any further help or support.
It’s definitely been worth doing and they are exporting well and providing us a good amount of energy.

After sales is an excellent indicator of a company's performance. Having had a couple of things go wrong in recent months on each occasion the company has responded quickly, kept me updated and sorted out the problem quickly and efficiently. Full marks to both admin and the engineer.

I have now used Green Building Renewables for three projects. Fitting my Tesla power wall, installing an EV charger and expanding the power wall.

On every occasion the work has been carried out professionally and to a very high standard.

I genuinely cannot rate their engineers highly enough.

Referred a customer to GBR for a ASHP installation in Norwich recently and they had a great service from start to finish, The communication was top notch and they had a great experience all round. A happy customer all round. Would recommend again.

Called the company as a regular customer as my Air source heat pump system wasn't working. They refused to come out as they hadn't installed the system despite the fact they had serviced it every year for the last 4 years. Told me to find a local company! I did say they were my local company, but that cut no ice! Very disappointed with their attitude

We have just had a large installation completed by the Norwich/Acle branch at my house in Suffolk. 21 solar panels, 3 batteries, an air source heat pump and all the radiators upgraded.

What a fantastic and professional job well done! Every one of the team (and there were a lot of them) from the initial survey to completion were professional, courteous, and extremely tidy. The attention to detail was superb. They delivered exactly what we asked for and accommodated our specific requirements, so we could not be more pleased.

Excellent customer service over the phone, by email and in person from the engineer who came out on the call.

The installation of the heat pump (replacing the gas boiler) was completed in the given time frame, despite some fairly awful weather on the day when much of the work was outside. The new tank was fitted on day 1 and we had hot water from then on so inconvenience was minimised. In addition the price was by some way the best of the three quotes that we had. I would definitely recommend this company.

From giving us a quote to finishing the job, it was done very professional.
They explained everything to us, any queries we had, they explained it to us.
