Newell Brands ignores consumer help requests
Newell Brands owns a number of companies that made reliable products, such as Coleman camping products and Calphalon cookware, but is operating them in a way that unacceptable for a consumer company. At Coleman, all calls for product support are placed on hold and never answered. A recording invites the caller to join a reply-call queue. There never is a reply call. Product purchases may or may not be delivered. My most recent purchase, a small plastic gasket for the gas line to my Coleman stove, is still waiting confirmation that they will send the part.
This kind of behavior by a consumer-products company is unacceptable. Coleman products are known for their excellence, but ignoring requests for service, especially for a product that can blow up if the connections are not secure, is corporate suicide. What a shame that an excellent company, such as Coleman, got acquired by a loser, such as Newell Brands.
