Nivel Parts, Buggies Unlimited, & MadJax Golf Cart products HATE CUSTOMERS!!
I purchased a MadJax Golf Cart product from a local Golf Cart dealer who did a lot of sales on Facebook Marketplace. I don't believe there's anything wrong with smaller dealers or doing business on FB Marketplace, but the item I purchased ended up being for a different golf cart manufacturer and not my EZGO golf cart. So, I tried tracking down this "dealer" and there is no longer a Facebook profile. Maybe they went out of business or maybe they were a fly by night dealer. Regardless, I purchased a product and received said product, but the mounting brackets didn't work for my cart. So, I had no option but to call the company who sells the item and hope they could help me out. So, here's where my review really beings. I spoke with a salesperson about hopefully being gracious and allowing me to exchange the wrong brackets for the ones I needed. She couldn't or after speaking to a supervisor, wasn't allowed to do that. They would sell me a new pair for $70+shipping but wouldn't help me out. However, she did say that if I called customer support in the morning, they may have more wiggle room to help me out. So I called this morning and spoke to customer service and because I didn't purchase the item from them directly (the manufacturer) they would not help me out, a lowly consumer. Nivel Parts & Manufacturing LLC owns MadJax, Buggies Unlimited, Red Dot, Seizmik, HighLifter, Falcon Ridge, GTW, Reliance, Pacific Rim, and Jakes. Their revenue is upwards of $500M a year, maybe more. So exchanging a part "like for like" should be an easy decision. Unless I can make the appropriate brackets myself, I shouldn't have to basically throw away a $300 Clay Basket over a $5 foreign made mounting bracket. Who's really getting hurt here? Me, the lowly consumer. I get it that "policy is policy" and I took my chances with a Facebook Marketplace purchase but give me a break. I'd pay for shipping both ways and even said I would pay the full amount for new brackets until you receive the exchange and can credit me back. I was very respectful and told the customer service rep I understood that it wasn't them directly that wouldn't help me out, but they reached out to multiple "supervisors" and none of them would kindly help me out. I get it and I'm not mad at them, but come on really? So I give them a one star for not giving a crap so there I'm upset. I'm not a snowflake but as people purchase more items on Facebook Marketplace, eBay, ETSY, etc. why not help a customer out? Why?
