Poor online engagement!

I was surprised by the amount of apathy demonstrated by Nobilia Hungary when I asked for their help via email for a kitchen renovation. Other companies from far more distant corners were quick to respond and they obtained my modest 15 thousand euro project. I am happy for Nobilia that the business is so plentiful that small projects like mine can be ignored.

Rather poor quality.

Rather poor quality.

If you're thinking of using Kuchenhaus, or another provider of 'fine German kitchens' in the UK, don't.

Not only have there been several back and forth orders to remediate issues (chips, poor quality construction, wrong items delivered/ordered), each iteration takes several weeks for the order to be shipped. We've had an installation going on for nearly a year and at the point of taking legal action for breach of contract.

So, in the UK, choose a provider from the UK. Highly likely you'll have a smoother experience.

Good luck if you roll the dice and get lucky, however looking at some of the comments here should guide you otherwise ...

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with .

I purchased a kitchen in 2016, trusting the reputation of German quality and durability. However, within just 2 years (2018), the kitchen doors developed defects. After raising a complaint, replacement doors were provided in 2019.

Unfortunately, the exact same issue has now occurred again. This clearly shows that the original problem was never properly resolved and raises serious concerns about the durability of the product.

Despite providing full evidence, including previous complaints and photos, Nobilia has refused to take any responsibility. Their position is that the damage is due to “moisture during use” — which is highly concerning, as kitchens are naturally exposed to steam and moisture in everyday use.

A kitchen of this value should reasonably be expected to withstand normal kitchen conditions for many years, not fail within 2 years and then fail again after replacement.

What is most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability and willingness to offer any solution, even on a goodwill basis.

I chose a German kitchen believing in its quality and long-term reliability. Based on my experience, this expectation has not been met.

I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

Dismissive Excuse Instead of Help

After weeks of frustrating back-and-forth with the company regarding a leaking, loose tap, I am extremely disappointed with how this issue was handled. Despite providing detailed videos and repeatedly explaining the problem, I was met with delays, vague responses, and a complete lack of ownership.

In the end, I was told that “at first glance on the video the tap appeared loose and may have just needed tightening up, which may need to be tightened by the homeowner from time to time if required.”

This response is completely unacceptable. A tap that constantly loosens and leaks is not something a homeowner should be expected to fix repeatedly, nor is it a reasonable explanation after weeks of complaints. The issue was clear, and instead of a proper solution, I received a dismissive excuse.

I expected better communication, responsibility, and customer care. Sadly, I can't recommend this company based on my experience.

Nobilia drawer and cupboard handles…

Nobilia drawer and cupboard handles peel within a couple of months. Source your handles elsewhere. We asked for some handles to be replaced within 12 months of fitting. Handles were sent. But they lasted a short while. We put up with them, then the problem worsened. We asked for a full replacement set (34 handles). They asked for £760, as a gesture! Great units, substandard hardware!

Difficult from start to finish

We asked Nobilia to make changes to an existing small kitchen, which they had originally installed. From start to finish they were slow to respond, difficult to deal with, expensive and inflexible. Everything was somebody else's fault and not their problem. I would not recommend them under any circumstance.

Nobilia are an utter disaster zone, AVOID!

We own a new build with a Nobilia Kitchen installed, they have been nothing short of a disaster zone from day one. Setting aside the fact that Nobilia installed the wrong kitchen and it had to be ripped out and a new one installed, nearly five years on they have still yet to finish the kitchen install! Our utility has also had three water related incidents since taking occupation in 2019 resulting in the builder being liable for the utility cabinetry replacement. The last, was on the 25th December 2023. We contacted Nobilia immediately and asked for a quote to replace the damaged cabinetry. On 29th February, two months after we reached out to Nobilia they direct us to Kutchenhaus, who deal with their 'additional customer requests' in the UK. Details of the order are forwarded to Kutchenhaus by Nobilia on 29th February. On 6th March Kutchenhaus customer 'dont care' sent an email asking for the details of the order they already have! They have the plans, the kitchen details and photographs, including an order form all sent to Kutchenhaus by Nobilia, it could not be easier! I follow this with emails on 20th March, 26th March and I've heard nothing from any of the three Kutchenhaus staff and the Sales Director at Nobilia UK since.

I have a utility room that has black mould embedded in the cabinetry from the water damage, it stinks and, they know this, and yet absolutely zero response! Id very much like my utility to match my kitchen but frankly at this point we will go elsewhere because im not going to fund their disgraceful customer service!

In my last email I tell them I am going to be posting this feedback on their service and you will be shocked to hear I heard nothing from anyone at Kutchenhaus or Nobilia until the TrustPilot review lands on 3rd April 2024. They accuse me of not replying to their emails or voice mails, its hard to reply when you have received nothing. The tone is full of indignation and tells me they will not deal with me until I retract the review, that's not going to happen, but it will be updated.

Nobilia is using Kutchenhaus as its go to market brand in the UK to avoid the ratings they have under their own brand name! In our experience Nobilia is not fit for purpose, their customer service is dreadful, now they have tried to clean up their image with Kutchenhaus as the new UK brand I can attest that they are no better if not worse. Simply avoid!
