Very inflexible with their policies
Very inflexible with their policies. Their business practices feel a bit scammy!
Awful company
Awful company. Do not subscribe. Even after cancelling my account and subscription, they keep trying to charge my card. It’s borderline fraud. They will refuse to accept a subscription cancellation

I was charged €406.98 for an annual renewal with no clear advance reminder before the charge. I contacted support the same period requesting either a refund or a pro-rated refund for the unused portion, and offered to downgrade immediately so it wouldn’t renew again. The agent cited a 30-day policy and, after I asked for the case to be escalated, the ticket was auto-closed without the issue being resolved or reviewed by anyone able to make an exception.
Under EU consumer rules, auto-renewals of this size require clear and timely notice before charging. I tried in good faith to resolve this directly and was met with silence. Disappointing handling of a straightforward billing request.
A really good app if its considered for…studies ,notes ,to do list ,and research purpose as it includes ai as well
A really good app if its considered for notes ,for student ,for making a to do list ,and to write your own notes ,,ai is good too ,,but issues with it is that it needs some improvement in' to do list ' a function where the box for ticking off tasks can be added everywhere ,not only on that page only ,,and for the ai it is good but its use is limited and after use it just locks its self .As there is vast competition in ai and most of people usethis application to use ai side by side with their work to make it efficient and if it turns out the ai gets locked after some use then they will just delete it ,so this issue should be solved

Great product but extremely hard to use. Consistently requires screenshots / asking claude for new users to accomplish simple tasks.
Notion for Personal and Business Use
I use Notion in my personal and professional life daily. Overall, I believe the app allows for decent customization of simple databases, which can be built up and easily shared between a team, friends, or clients. I find Notion is easy to build policies and project management tools for my work. I enjoy the template marketplace, which makes it easy for me to build off of something existing or get inspiration for my own pages. I find the free plan is quite generous and allows for several free integrations. I find a lot of the third-party apps have been well developed and work well within Notion. I preferred Notion before it was heavily trying to push the AI though. I find I don't use Notion AI much because there is often misunderstandings or hallucinations which cause me to waste time trying to correct. If you require complex data analysis, Notion is not the best tool. However, if you are looking for a second brain to compose your thoughts, it is a decent platform with a learning curve. There are many YouTube videos to help inspire or troubleshoot though.
No real customer support at all
No real customer support at all, 100% SCAM AI website that operates fully on theft and has so-so "runs" that can do mostly basic AI tasks but only if You pay up for more than 1 month or 400 RUNS (executions of AI commands) and all 400 are easily spent over few days and then it takes few months to be able to "RUN" again ... or a hefty price to renew. Avoid at all costs as there are a ton of better and FREE AI apps. I am still waiting for answer to my compolaints (I raised a month ago ... but I doubt I will ever get any real answer)
What a load of c**p
What a load of c**p! Just installed on my android and it went straight to AI. No visible menus nor anyway to navigate to get started. If the is then it is well hidden! During installation it prompted me to install the Notion Calendar. I did and it just sits there when you open it and does nothing. No user friendly guidance to get you started. Unless I am missing something, don't bother.
From Blessing to Financial Nightmare -Warning: Token Extortion
Review: Notion – A Brilliant Trap for Productivity Seekers (Warning: Token Extortion)
Title: From Blessing to Financial Nightmare – When AI Organization Becomes an Unaffordable Hostage Situation
If you are looking for a solution to organize your life through text input and AI agents—especially when dealing with ADHD or complex projects—you will inevitably stumble upon the new Notion agents. And yes, the functionality is excellent. The morning briefings, the automated calendar organization, and the constant background activity are exactly what modern assistive work should look like. But this is where the praise ends and the systematic rip-off begins.
1. The Unaffordable Token System:
Notion has created a system that relies on agents being constantly active in the background. That is the only way they can reliably remind you of appointments, create briefings, and sync information in real-time. But this is exactly where the trap snaps shut: every move, every reminder, every single action by these agents costs tokens. What starts as a seemingly fair price turns into a bottomless pit within a very short time. For a system that must work 24/7 to fulfill its purpose, charging per token is unethical and financially non-viable.
2. Technology Only for the Rich:
This is a prime example of two-class technology. If you don't have a bloated business account to pump hundreds of dollars into token refills every month, you are left behind. Notion shows us exactly how perfect the solution to our chaos could be, only to snatch it away unless we are willing to pay extra for every single automated click. It is a disgrace for a software that claims to "revolutionize" the workflow.
3. A Testament to Microsoft's Failure:
It is an unprecedented embarrassment that a trillion-dollar corporation like Microsoft, despite owning Windows, Outlook, and Teams, fails to offer even a remotely efficient system for task and project management. While their CEO throws billions out the window to research eternal life, the average user is drowning in an outdated Excel swamp. Microsoft has the resources but zero interest in a real solution for people. You couldn't draw a more pathetic picture of a lack of innovation coupled with megalomania.
4. Google's Pathetic Performance:
Google also deserves a mention: they own the entire ecosystem—Calendar, Docs, Gmail, Gemini AI. They have the power to create a perfect, integrated Notion clone that handles everything. Instead, they fail miserably at meaningfully connecting their own services.
Conclusion:
Notion offers a brilliant drug—perfect organization—only to bleed users dry through token addiction. It is an insult to hide innovative assistance systems behind such a paywall. Anyone who can rely on their own hardware (local LLMs) should turn their back on Notion. These companies have no interest in your productivity; they only want to monetize your dependency.
Trash
Trash, I was sold some templates by Oliver notion that were a total scam. you should regulate your platform better.
Extremely misleading UI and cold customer support—charged $830+ for an accidental click!
I am deeply shocked and disappointed by Notion's highly misleading UI/UX layout and their inflexible customer service.
While simply trying to share content from my workspace, the platform's interface implicitly added users as "Members" instead of "Guests" and automatically upgraded my workspace to a high-tier Business Yearly plan. I had absolutely no intention of upgrading, nor did I realize a massive charge was being processed. I only discovered this huge financial burden weeks later on my credit card statement.
Upon realizing the mistake, I immediately went into my settings and deleted all additional members to correct the workspace. I am a single, individual user who has absolutely no need for enterprise-level features.
I reached out to Notion support explaining the situation, but the agent (Maurice) completely hid behind their rigid "annual refund policy window," refusing to issue even a prorated refund for the remaining 11 months of a service I am not using and have already canceled in my settings. Forcing an individual to pay over $830 USD for an accidental click during a content-sharing process is completely unfair and predatory.
Please be extremely careful when clicking anything in Notion, as their interface is designed to trap you into expensive subscriptions, and their support team will show zero empathy or flexibility to help you fix an honest mistake.
light productivity only
good for general productivity but also super annoying. When I started using notion it was fantastic but now Im just tired of it. The website randomly refuses to load, the app takes a long time to sync, the spellchecker doesn't work and other annoying bugs/features. so many small things that just make the experience unpleasant
I was told how great their writer…
I was told how great their writer planner would be but it barely works and it's riddled with AI. I only found out about it once i bought it, typical company using AI to reap money from people. If they're going to be so proud of using AI they can at least be upfront about it. Asking for a refund now, wish me luck.
Great tool
I've been using Notion for a few years by now and it becomes better and better. It's a place for all notes, data and projects, both for work and personal.
Recently they also added AI features for a reasonable price that is useful. Love y'all!
One of the best apps I’ve used.
One of the best apps I’ve used.
The only thing I’d suggest is making more features free with usage limits instead of blocking them completely. I think that could help increase sales.
Overall, the app itself is really cool. I use it for client management, and I’ve integrated Claude into it as well.
Thank you, guys!
Accidental member charges with no warning — and no recourse
I shared a document with family members on Notion and accidentally added them as Members instead of Guests. There was no friction, no confirmation step, nothing that hinted this would result in an annual paid seat. I only found out when I was charged over $100.
When I contacted support, I was just outside their 3-day refund window — which was enough to shut the conversation down completely. I wasn't even asking for a full refund, just a prorated credit for months I'll never use. They refused.
I'm not surprised to find that many other users have fallen into the exact same trap. At some point, a pattern this consistent stops being an accident.
I`ve been using Notion as a jornal for…
I`ve been using Notion as a jornal for notes on free plan for the free plan for the past 3 months. I usually add new every 1–2 days. For me, it works well as a simple notebook, and the free plan is convenient enough for regular use. I don`t use the AI features because they’re paid, and I already have subscriptions to other AI tools that cover that for me. As a notebook, Notion has a clean and pleasant interface with very little unnecessary clutter, so overall I’m happy with it. One thing I`d still like to have is the option to lock my Notion with a possword, because privacy matters to my when it comes to personal notes. Right now, thet feature is missing.
The most inconvenient app I've ever…
The most inconvenient app I've ever used. It doesn't let me do even the most basic tasks. I'm trying to figure out how to delete a user through AI. It's complete crap, and I've been using it for a week, doing basic tasks, and this piece of crap wants to charge me $24 a month. For me, Google Sheets is 100 times better, more convenient, and free.
Don't use this app. They glitch and steal your money!
I have had notion since 2018 because a friend of mine was using it and had me join to be a part of the project. Of course they don't let you use the full functionality of sharing small documents for free, so I was forced to buy it. It worked fine, but here's where it gets sticky and they take advantage of people--if you share with someone and they use the platform it can glitch and make them a team member. If it does this, you'll get an AUTOMATIC huge surprise bill (I didn't even know about this, NOR DID I OPT IN FOR IT). I am being billed $120 extra for a service I didn't even use because someone looked at a document.
They said because I didn't notify them within THREE DAYS, THEY REFUSE TO REFUND THE MONEY. I'M NOW LOCKED INTO THIS FOR A YEAR, AND I DID NOT EVEN AUTO-RENEW.
So I advise AGAINST USING THIS PLATFORM. Bad customer service, a platform that's not intuitive, it's glitchy and honestly, after 7 years of being a faithful customer and barely using the platform, you'd think they would have treated me better. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE CON ARTISTS!
I contacted their customer support and they told me because
Deleting the platform customer service and their AI agent is terrible
Notion had an ad on FB and offered one year free if you sign up. I signed up and didnt see the email untial a few days later & gave them my notion info for my workspace no reply.
Today I go on Notion and I get a business plan promotion for 50% off until May 16. I go to checkout and it is 24.00 not 12.00 complete scam. Talking to their AI about it - they just blame the consumer when it clearly showed 24.00 at checkout and the promotion was applied before hitting the checkout button.
