Easy to use platform and UK Call centre helpful

Have been using this since it was labelled Nutmeg for an ISA and as a platform/app it is very easy to use. Recently had some issues with a new verification process being updated on the platform. UK call centre answered within a few minutes; Lu was really patient and helpful advising me on the process.

I am fairly new to investing

I am fairly new to investing, other than my pension. However, I found JP Morgan easy to use, and when I did have a query, it was quickly answered and explained to me. Would recommend them.

The guy on chat was great.

But having to chase up missing funds is not good.
I moved funds over to earn more but the interest rate is less than my savings account

Thank you for your feedback. Although, it is great to hear that you are pleased your experience contacting us over Live Chat– I’m sorry that you were disappointed by having to chase missing funds, and by our cash interest rate.

While we are an investment provider, it is possible to create a pot that is 100% allocated to cash within a GIA or Stocks and Shares ISA wrapper. However, these cash pots are not intended to be used for long-term savings. As such, this offering isn’t comparable to a traditional cash savings account, which is designed specifically for long-term cash deposits.

Over the long-term, investing in stocks and shares has the potential to make your money work harder for you than a cash ISA; Stocks and Shares ISAs do carry risk, however, and the value of your investments can go up and down.

Returns are largely influenced by the time you entered the market and how long you've been in the market. While market volatility is a normal part of investing, we recommend approaching investing as a long-term activity, three to five years, but ideally more, to ride out these periods. Knowing when the market will rise and fall is almost impossible so it’s important to keep your overall attitude to risk and volatility, and long term investment goals in mind, rather than reacting to short term market movements.

While we appreciate it can be difficult to see losses in your investments, taking the big picture view and understanding the fundamentals of investing over several years can make short-term volatility seem insignificant, so long as you have emergency funds in place and do not need to access the money immediately.

It pains me to write this

It pains me to write this. Be warned if you try and transfer pension out and into another provider. The process is painfully slow and only gets traction when a complaint is raised. Disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry that you were disappointed by the Pension Transfer process.

Note that, in order to move funds in a Pension to another Pension provider, the transfer will need to be actioned by the new provider. The new provider will then contact us with your instructions on how to handle the transfer.

Most pension transfers take between two and three weeks to complete, but some can take up to three months – depending on different circumstances, such as the receiving provider.

We always aim to do everything we can to make sure you receive the best possible service; however, we know that sometimes we don’t always get things right the first time. As such will always be willing to investigate any complaints with the aim of finding a suitable resolution to any concerns you may have. As we are not currently able to identify or access your account, we aren't able to provide specific details on your complaint. However, please rest assured that we take all complaints seriously at J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, giving it our full attention and making sure it’s dealt with by someone with the right knowledge and experience.

As per the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) rules, we have up to 8 weeks to handle all complaints. We appreciate that this may seem like a long time, however, it allows our specialist complaints team to carry out a full investigation into the matter at hand. If for any reason we were unable to resolve your concerns within this timeframe, and if your complaint is eligible for further action, we will always provide full contact details for The Financial Ombudsman Service.

I closed my account nearly 2 years ago but for some reason it was still open. Rajiyah A was very helpful on the website chat, and I can't fault their efforts. Only giving a 4-star rating because I'm rating the overall experience and speaking to someone on the phone would be better than typing in a chat.
