Hi Judryn, thanks for sharing your feedback. We understand that working out the calories in homemade meals or when eating out can sometimes be tricky. We have nutritional information for over 200 eating-out venues in our database, including most major restaurant chains and popular coffee shops.
To find these, tap the blue menu button to the right of the search box and select Eating Out.
For homemade meals, you can use our Recipe Creator to work out the calories. Here's how:
1. Tap My Meals from the menu at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap +Create in the top right corner, or select + Create a new meal or recipe within a meal occasion.
3. Enter the recipe name, number of servings and meal occasion, then tap Next.
4. You can select previously used ingredients or tap Skip to continue.
5. Use the search bar to find and add your ingredients. We'll calculate the calories for you as you go.
6. Once you've added everything, tap Save at the top of the screen.
We hope these features help make tracking a little easier!

Excellent Customer Service
One of the best nutrition logs I've found; worth paying for over a free one.
Database is controlled, so you don't get loads of dodgy entries for the same thing, it's UK based, so UK supermarket items listed. Scan feature makes it easy to check something when shopping when some lunatic designer has chosen minute orange font on a red backround.
Hadn't had occasion to need it until this month, the system is really easy, but when you do need to get in touch, customer service is excellent.

I gave up tracking with My Fitness Pal…
I gave up tracking with My Fitness Pal , it wasn’t very user friendly . My sister told me about this one . Love it , love the interface and the photos , even down to a cup of tea ! Well worth the price for a year .

Love the app
Love the app. Makes tracking so much easier. Previously was with MyFitness Pal, but there is so much junk on there, it's easy to get lost or confused. Would recommend to anybody tracking based in the UK.

It's an excellent app
It's an excellent app, so easy to use , to be able to see how many calories you need to loose the weight or maintaining the weight, nice you can scan barcodes or put in manual and how much. It's great to see how many calories left for the day to determine how much you can eat.
