Absolutely terrible customer service!! Terrible product
Absolutely terrible customer service!!! Bought a brand new wetsuit (Hyperfreak Comp 2mm full suit) - before wearing noticed degradation and damage appearing in the neck line of this suit. After weeks of back and forth emailing this company they re-iterated that they refused to pay for the postage return to have the suit fixed despite acknowledging the Consumer Act of 2015 (stating their legal duty to pay for the return of substandard / faulty goods). AVOID Oneill, spend your money with another 'premium' wetsuit company that cares about the products they are delivering and that cares about their customers!
Warranty O'neill
On December 2024, I purchased an O'Neill WOMEN NINJA 5/4MM CHEST ZIP FULL WETSUIT | BLACK through the Portuguese distributor/retailer Despomar.
The wetsuit was used exclusively for recreational surfing and was properly maintained and used under normal conditions appropriate for this type of product. This is a premium product marketed by O'Neill as offering high-end quality features and exceptional durability.
However, after only one surfing season (approximately one year of use), the wetsuit developed significant damage and deterioration which, in my opinion, is incompatible with the level of durability reasonably expected from a product within this price range and category.
Over the years, I have used several wetsuits from different brands under similar conditions, all of which had a substantially longer lifespan and did not develop comparable damage within such a short period.
In light of this situation, I submitted a warranty claim to the retailer, Despomar, requesting that the legal warranty be honoured. The claim was rejected on the grounds that the damage resulted from normal wear and tear associated with use.
Dissatisfied with this response, I contacted O'Neill directly. The company confirmed the retailer's position and also refused to offer any repair, replacement, or other form of commercial compensation.
While I fully understand that a wetsuit is subject to wear through normal use, I believe that the deterioration shown after only one season of recreational surfing does not correspond to the legitimate expectations created by the brand regarding the product's quality and exceptional durability.
Easy to use web shop
Easy to use web shop, excellent delivery service and excellent product
Awful company and incompetent service
I ordered about ten pieces of clothing from them. And they have canceled every single order under the pretext of fraud prevention. I have tried different accounts locations and credit cards but nothing worked. Costumer support is useless. They said that their fraud system flagged me and that nothing can be done. He said I’m not allowed to shop with them ever, unless it’s at a physical store. I asked but no reason was given in regards to why I am flagged. They just blindly follow what the machine says and they have no actual authority to help their costumers. They don’t care anyway
Don't trust their delivery times if you are in a hurry
Estimated delivery time on the web site: 3-4 days. Actual delivery time: 2.5 weeks. No explanations. No apologies.
Quick delivery.
Poor warranty support and no resolution
I contacted O’Neill Wetsuits to activate the warranty for a defect in the neck area of my son’s wetsuit. It has now been more than a week and a half, and the only response I received was a vague message saying that my case would be forwarded to another O’Neill division, with no clear guidance or solution.
Since then, the new division they referred my case to has not contacted me at all. Meanwhile, my son's wetsuit is unusable due to the defect, which means he cannot use it.
I spent more than €250 on a wetsuit from a well-known brand, expecting quality and reliable customer support, but so far the after-sales service has been very disappointing.
I hope O’Neill takes responsibility and resolves this situation promptly.
Nice shorts, good service
Really good service, nice shorts and quick delivery. Im not sure about the sizing though. Some shorts are classified as S/M/L but others as 30/32/34/36 etc. First, this is confusing and then the S/M/L doesn’t seem to correspond to European sizes. I usually wear M or L but I had to return a pair of M as they were way too big. S fits fine. Are O’Niell using US sizes?? Good service but 2 sizing systems makes no sense.
I got all wrong order, and they ask me to order again instead of exchanging it.
I got the wrong order, with different sizes for bottom and top, so not just the wrong model but everything wrong, and they sent me a message that they can not exchange and I need to make a new order, and "as an apology" they would do me the favor of providing me with a discount code for the shipping. Like I would need to pay it. I don't know what AI they use to respond but it completely misses the point of keeping customers happy.
I haven’t got my package yet
I haven’t got my package yet, and it’s ridiculous you want me to Pay a fee for cancellation or return. Given the fact that i payed more than 10€ for a shipping that hasnt happend. The worse costumer service too, impossible to contact. I am still waiting for a response and has been more than 10 days
