This bank is a masterclass in inefficiency and indifference. Service? Non-existent. When interest rates go up, they’re lightning fast to increase yours—no communication needed. But when rates fall, it’s a different story: you must draft a formal letter to the branch manager just to request what should be automatic. If you don’t, they’ll quietly continue charging the higher rate without hesitation.
I followed up, only to be told they “forgot” to respond. Translation: unless you chase them repeatedly, they won’t lift a finger. This isn’t just poor service—it’s deliberate negligence. And for a public sector bank, that kind of complacency and lack of transparency is downright unacceptable.

The response had no relevance to what was asked. It shows how good they are. Govt owned and they can do anything they want and no one to question them. Full of dead wood.

I opened my first bank account here and I still use them, because they are simply fulfilling all my needs. The only downside is that it doesn't have many features online, so I have been to go to the bank branch and make everything in real life, but i'm used to that. I use the card on a regular basis and never experienced any troubles, thanks to state bank 🙏
Being a government company
Being a government company, I donot expect that SBI will provide so many features online. I got PAPL loan through app. It was very useful.

Listen up, SBI! Your Credit card app is an absolute joke. Every time I attempt to log in to check my outstanding balance, I'm greeted with the same useless message: "Something went wrong, try again." Well, guess what? I've tried again and again, probably more times than I can count, and it's still not working! Get your act together, SBI, and fix this hot mess of an app before you lose every single customer you have. It's beyond ridiculous and utterly infuriating.
HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED / UPSET WITH SBI SERVICES
I haven't see this kind of bad services, really they don't have care about the customers.
No body able to give any solution for any issue, if anybody will contact with support they will say you have to visit in bank and if you will visit in bank they will say you have to contact with support nothing else, very bad services only harassments are there nothing else. I will never recommended to anybody this bank other banks giving best services than SBI.
A good online service overall
I have had a great experience with Online banking of SBI, their online services are very good compared to other private banks. Just a few negatives being UI is not very much updated and feels old, and the biggest pain point being OTPs. SBI have almost every page blocked by OTP

A below average customer service. Most of the times their servers are down. The bank is always crowded and the staff is rude too.
Literally this bank website have a few feature . Sometimes all servers are down . It is able to do only transaction nothing other than it .

Terrible bank, tpin system does not work, the people at call centre are clueless.The online banking site is the worst designed site I have ever used. AVOID.

Possibly the worst online banking web site I have ever seen. I have just wasted an hour trying to set up my account, after eventually completing the process it logged me out, now I can't login again.
Worse than useless bank.
If anything is designed to put my blood pressure up it's having dealings (online or on the phone) with the State Bank of India (UK). Never in my long life have I ever encountered such a bunch of complete incompetents: the Indian call centre where the staff are totally useless and incomprehensible; the website, oh, the website for online banking, which is so complex, bizarre and labyrinthine that one could spend many frustrating hours achieving nothing but a headache. I hate this bank with a vengeance. Never haver I encountered such magnificent incompetence in any organisation.
