Uniroyal Tyres From Oponeo

I would rather avoid this comoany as…

I would rather avoid this comoany as find it unprofessional and irresponsible. Ordered a pair of rear tyres but had to refuse delivery because the driver just had one tyre! I had booked with the mechanic and make time from work to get this done. The driver was even trying to convince me to accept the one tyre which made no sense at all. Have they got a clue how a tyre replacement works!

However, we would like to clarify that larger tyres, such as the ones ordered in your case, are often shipped individually and each tyre receives its own tracking number. Due to courier logistics and depot routing, it can occasionally happen that the tyres are delivered separately, even when they are dispatched at the same time.
The courier should not have pressured you into accepting only one tyre if you preferred to wait for the complete order, and we apologise for any confusion caused during the delivery process. While separate deliveries are unfortunately sometimes unavoidable with oversized items, this does not reflect the level of service we aim to provide.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue working with our courier partners to minimise situations like this in the future.

Warranty useless

Warranty useless!
Tyre has failed after a couple of months, they claimed initially manufacturer was considering the claim, then they say its mechanical damage yet refuse to clarify what that is, then want the tyre back but say they've already classed it as mechanical damage, refuse to share what manufacturer said (probably didn't even reply) refuse to say who would be inspecting the tyre, where they are or any details about what they will be looking at. Basically wanting me to unmount a tyre at my cost rather than me just taking the car there to be looked at.
Scam, it's been inspected at several shops and all said it's material split as it's all the way round and not a cut at all. Order somewhere reputable and decent at resolving concerns

UPDATE REPLY:
Odd how now you're specific about the manufacturer saying that not 'distributer'. It isn't that I can't attend a delivery address in exactly the same way a courier would. I firmly believe you have no intent to change from you decision. I might believe you if you were not dishonestly withholding the manufacturers reply which you have no valid reason to do.

We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the warranty process. However, we would like to clarify that all warranty claims are handled according to the manufacturer’s official procedures.
Each manufacturer has its own independent inspection and testing facility where tyres are assessed using specialised equipment and testing procedures. Unfortunately, it is not possible for customers to attend these facilities with the tyres still fitted to the vehicle, as the inspection process requires the tyres to be removed and tested separately on dedicated machinery. For this reason, demounting and returning the tyre is a necessary part of the warranty verification procedure.
We understand that this may be inconvenient, but the final assessment and decision always rest with the manufacturer’s independent inspection process.

We would like to clarify that under applicable consumer regulations, Oponeo is responsible for handling warranty and statutory defect claims (seller liability) for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
As the seller, we collect the tyre and forward it to an authorised inspection centre or directly to the manufacturer for an independent technical assessment.
The purpose of the inspection is to determine the cause of the reported damage. Until the examination is completed by the authorised experts, the final outcome of the claim cannot be changed or reassessed.
The inspection cannot be carried out at the vehicle's location and requires the tyre to be submitted for testing in accordance with the manufacturer's and inspection centre's procedures.
If you wish to proceed with the claim, please complete the documents that were sent to you and prepare the tyre for collection. Once the tyre is received, it will be forwarded for an official assessment, and the results will be communicated to you as soon as they become available.

Rude customer service & unpacked delivery

Ordered 4 new tyres, came unwrapped and dirty, even the courier was surprised to know they were new. spoke to customer service and i was told, they are tyres and meant to get dirty when you put on your car, very rude. I asked them if they will buy dirty trainers new with dirt marks everywhere.

We would like to clarify that tyres are not always delivered wrapped in foil or additional packaging. The tyres received were brand new and fully functional. During transport, the courier moved the tyres along the pavement, which may have caused minor dirt marks on the surface. This does not affect the quality, safety, or usability of the product in any way.
Our customer service explained that the tyres met all standards for a new product, therefore there were no grounds for a free return or compensation.
We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with the experience, but we must emphasize that the delivered tyres were new, fully valuable, and compliant with the order.

Your claim was reported to the supplier and courier immediately after your contact with us. Since then, we have regularly followed up with both parties and provided updates throughout the investigation process.
The courier company requested a completed Loss Before Signature (LBS) statement in order to proceed with the investigation.
Despite multiple requests and reminders, the required document was not provided. You were also informed that, if you did not have access to a printer, the statement could be handwritten.
The investigation cannot continue without the required documentation. As the required cooperation was not provided, and the claimed by you lack of access to a phone camera to provide a photo of the handwritten statement was treated as sufficient reason to discontinue cooperation, the claim has been closed.

I deffinetlly dont recomand oponeo
Its waste if time and money also

The product received is under 1 year from production date therefore according to the recommendations of most automotive clubs, among others Allgemeine Deutsche Automobil-Club [ADAC] and Touring Club Schweiz [TCS]). The high online shop standards of Oponeo.co.uk are completely in accordance with tyre manufacturers guidelines which acknowledge tyres not older than 3 years as brand new.
in relation to the content of your response, we conclude that you have not familiarised yourself with the applicable Terms and Conditions (T&C), which clearly define the rules governing the return and complaint process, including collection costs and required documentation.
Regardless, we would like to clarify that all procedures are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and our T&C, which are binding upon purchase.
As we have not received confirmation of acceptance of the outlined conditions nor the required cooperation to proceed with collection, we understand that you are not interested in continuing the return process under the stated terms.
If you wish to proceed with the return process, we kindly ask to reply to our emails in order to proceed with collection.

OK but fault with 1 of the tyres

I have orderd 5 tyes from Oponeo (opver 3 seperate orders september and october 2025), all were for my Jaguar XF R Sport, delivery was good, and they looked great. " have been fitted, one has been good since fiting but the other one has developed a bulge on the outside tyre wall and was deemed un roadworthy, i dont know who to report this to within oponeo, i have photos to show proof, can anyone advise me please.

Wrong tyres sent, customer services appalling

Absolutely despicable, appalling company to deal with. Please people head my warning and read others reviews and avoid this company at all costs. Everything is fine, until there is an issue e.g wrong items sent, then dealing with customer services and trying to get anywhere is incredibly hard work. No doubt Oponeo will respond to this review as they have done with so many previous poor reviews, with all kinds of excuses and mitigating factors, but I will simply deal with the facts here.

• Placed an order for 4x Nankang TR-10 145/80/10 69S tyres on Tuesday 28th April (Important note the load index and speed rating 69S i.e. suitable for fitment to a passenger vehicle such as the Classic Mini)
• Received order confirmation at 11.00am on 28/04
• 28/04 11.09am received email saying ‘order in progress’
• Wednesday 29/04 nipped out briefly, returned home late morning, to find 4x tyres sitting to the side of my front door. I had not received a dispatch email, or tracking number etc. The last communication was ‘shipment in progress’ @ 11.09 on 28/04.
• Checked tyres and noticed I had been sent Nankang TR-10 145/80/10 84/82N – Trailer tyres. Immediately rang Oponeo and reported the error in the wrong tyres being sent. Representative told me she would send delivery notice (not received at this point) and to respond to email with photographs and they would get back to me with courier collection details to exchange for correct tyres.
• Had an initial response via email @ 12:32 telling me if I got back to them by 13:00 they could arrange collection for 29.04, I missed this deadline by a few minutes, not that it would of mattered as they never got back to me anyway.
• Had no response on 29.04 despite 3 separate emails sent chasing.
• 30.04 rang Oponeo first thing. Abrupt support representative trying to talk over me before I had completed explanation of situation and was trying to tell me about sending an email with photos again for collection! Then he told me that ‘oh you have received tyres with a higher load index than you ordered, that’s good then!’ I’m not sure he fully understood, or perhaps fitment of Trailer tyres are legal in Poland, but fitment of Trailer tyres certainly is not legal in the UK for a passenger vehicle. Representative seemed unaware of my previous emails to organise collection, eventually found them, and booked collection for 01/05. I was advised that the company has to collect the tyres before replacements can be sent out (company policy) and that I would need to send proof of collection via email either of collection slip or photos of van/and or tyres on van.
• 01/05 – As advised by Oponeo representative removed APC shipping labels ready for collection. Noted tyres had been sent from Westlands LTD (part of Nankang UK group). On the rear of one of the labels very clearly was ‘Customer 0017 OPONEO UK LTD – Item: 145/80R10 Nankang TR-10 69S Qty:4 – Location: Bond and a hand written number D14C. This shows the correct information was available at the point of picking and the 69S rated tyre should have been supplied as ordered.
• 01/05 – APC arrived late morning to collect, fantastic service from APC absolutely can’t fault them spot on and understanding for all requirements.
• 01/05 11.51 – Emailed as advised on 30.04 with photos of van and tyres on van that collection completed successfully. Requested correct tyres to be sent out with tracking number ASAP by end of day.
• 01/05 11.58 onwards – Rang Oponeo twice, on hold for over 10 minutes and line went dead and hung up on each occasion.
• 01/05 12.10 – Emailed again advising that phone lines not working and no longer answering my calls, stated that I understand mistakes happen, but they haven’t been dealt with very well. Requested tyres sent out, and advised if I had not heard back by end of day with confirmation that correct tyres on way I will open a case with PayPal for a refund and submit a TrustPilot review.

No response was received from Oponeo, after the collection was made, they are failing to engage with me at all. It seems all they wanted was the tyres back AND TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. Long and the short of it is I am now £164 out of pocket and don’t have the tyres I required.

If you value your time please don’t use this company. As soon as something goes wrong, it quickly becomes your problem, and they just don’t take responsibility, their customer service manner is incredibly abrupt to the point of being rude. When you ring support they clearly link your number directly to your order so when they pickup they know instantly what was ordered etc. However I suspect on subsequent calls they use this system to weed out the cases they don’t want to deal with. Also of note when ringing the support number ‘Margaret Smith’ is shown on your handset – this isn’t very professional!

In summary AVOID at all costs

cancelled order

ordered tyre and paid and received an email to tell me that order has been cancelled. I queried why and they said I hadn't paid. I checked my account and the payment had gone through. I then emailed again and no-one responded back. Poor customer service and poor service to cancel an order hence my 1star review
